This place is a RIPOFF!!!!!! They tried to charge me $225 for some simple diagnostics that would have taken them 20 minutes!!!! If you don't mid paying way to much, by all means go here. I expect more from a shop that is serving military!!!!!

Have to make a call in advance and set up an appointment, but work is fast, good quality, and great prices! Also since it’s a military establishment, there is nothing sketchy going on... if somethings broken they will fix it if they messed it up!

They did not seem knowledgeable. If all you need is an oil change, they will do the job, but ask them to do much else and they will kind of shut down. Customer service also lacks. Update: I've added two stars. My car broke down and they were the closest repair shop and I grudgingly took it in to them again. The guy I interfaced with looked at my car for free, saw that the problem was with a previous repair shop and gave me good advice for what to say to get them to fix the car.

The people working the phones and front desk were helpful and friendly. Both of our cars were in and out for inspections only. However the price for an inspection is very high, $125 per vehicle! I'm not sure if that's a California thing but back home in NC its only $30. We needed the inspection documents in order to renew our NC registration from across the country.

Avoid for anything other than simple things like oil changes or new tires. When I informed them that the work they completed did not work, the main mechanic openly doubted my car's symptoms and unprofessionally mocked what I told him. He was unwilling to listen to what I had to say. They show a complete lack of ability to troubleshoot beyond a very basic level. They get three stars only because the NEX management was reasonable and listened to my concerns and refunded me.

I can't recommend this place. Asked them to check on a front-end noise, they came back with a $1200+ estimate to replace all shocks/struts. Took to another shop, they found two loose bolts in a caliper. They are severely understaffed (just one mechanic) and I think he is overworked. I'd go here for tire rotations or something simple, but wouldn't do it for anything beyond that.

Best and honest mechanics this side of town. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful and the mechanics are honest with their diagnostic. Saved me $$$$ over the years that I've been taking my car to them and I have a European car. Thanks to Mr Brian and the entire staff at the NEX autoport for supporting our war fighters, military families and retirees/veterans!

Took my car here and the gentlemen who work there are very nice and professional. I got my car serviced for a cross country trip, for 100,000 mile service and they were considerably cheaper than my car’s dealership. I would have paid over $700 at the dealership, where with the NEX I paid under $400. I asked for the honest opinion, of if my breaks and tires would get me there; they said yes and my car got me to my 2,000 (plus) mile destination. Would recommend this facility for car service!

Made an appointment two weeks in advance, specifically stating I was bringing in a diesel truck. Day of appointment comes, sorry, can't do diesels. Only reason it's two stars and not one is because the front desk attendant was kind.

I have to commend their honesty. I called with an issue relating to the Subaru eyesight, among other things, and the guy told me they could look at it and diagnose, but if the eyesight needs correction it would be something they can't fix and I would have to go to the dealership for it.

Watch out—they’ll try to rip you off. Yes they are NEX but it is ridiculous. I was surprised this happened at the NEX car shop. They tried to charge me $78 to change the cabin air filter: $15 for the part and $62.50 for 0.5 hours of labor—when the job takes less than a minute to do. On top of that, I specifically asked them to check the condition of my car because I noticed some oil leaking from the rubber boots on the steering rack and tie rods. Yet, their report showed everything marked green—even the known issue. When I questioned it, the front desk clerk had to go back and check with the mechanics, who admitted they had simply ignored the problem. It cost me $120 to check for nothing.

I would select zero stars if I could! Appointment was scheduled for 2:30 PM (oil change) and was told (in writing) my car would be done by 4:00 PM. Came back at 4 and found out they hadn’t even taken my car into the shop yet. Completely unacceptable and a huge waste of my time. No communication, no accountability. Won’t be coming back.
