Overall very mediocre. Chose the $49.99 hand wash on my new car. Gentleman that took my receipt seemed annoyed when asked to wipe the water dripping down the rear bumper. Had to wipe off some of the water that accumulated after I got home. Car looks great now that it's in the garage after wiping it off, just didn't meet my expectations considering I paid $50.00, unsure if I'll ever return.

I've been to many carwashes in San Diego County when I lived in Escondido. This Mr. Soapy's location in my opinion, is the best. The prices are in line with other top tier carwashes, (and in line with what I pay at home).When I come in from northern Arizona for visits in Poway, Oceanside, or Rancho Bernardo, I always go out of my way to have my car washed here.

Terrible place at the Arco. Their drying area is very janky and they don't have their towels labeled. Half the vacuums work and the other don't even have vacuums hanging from the pipes. I grabbed the towels and the bin and they were used in oily and didn't find out so I smeared it all over my windows. And it got on my paint. Very ghetto place and I went to ask if I could run my truck through again and they told me no and didn't even cut me a complimented wash later. You'll regret going there. It'll mess your car up.

Been coming here for quite some time with multiple vehicles. Service has slipped up and gotten sloppy lately. The quality of the wash goes down and is no longer worth the cost. For $60+ I shouldn't have to come home and touch up areas that were missed or cleaned half assed. My trucks are never 100% and for the price that is unacceptable. The crew here doesn't clean, they just smear gloss over everything inside and call it good. I've had great service here but lately they seem to be rushing and the work shows. I will be finding a new car wash place.

I have been a handful of times and it’s by far the best car wash I’ve ever had. Yes, it is a little pricey but they do a fantastic job. The employees are super friendly as well Side note: when you’re waiting for your car to get washed there is an unbelievable Mexican restaurant inside of the gas station.

This is the best car wash place I have been to.. I have been coming here for 4 years and my car comes out beautifully. Great pricing. Amazing employees. Marcos has amazing customer service and I look forward to coming here for years to come. I also look forward to the new structure! Exciting stuff

Took my vehicle in for a Granddaddy (full interior/exterior wash & clean) treatment plus a hand wash (costing xtra) and left not happy at all. Why? Well they spent less than 10 minutes on it - total, with really poor attention to detail throughout. Dirt was still visible around the entire lower body, like bending over was simply beyond whoever supposedly “hand washed” it. Inside, they attendants couldn’t be bothered to wipe the dust off the vinyl and hard surfaces inside before smearing a slick, smelly, shiny substance on top before rubbing it in, guaranteeing the now-well-adhered dust underneath would be with me for a while. Sorry Mr Foamy, but you’ve got to do better than that…

Beware of Damage!!! My husband and I have been going to this car wash for a little over 5 years.  The last time my husband took his truck in to get washed they put an air freshener in the vehicle for him.  The air freshener ended up somehow warping the plastic on the dash, see pictures attached.  After doing some research we found out it was going to cost a few hundred dollars to fix! At that point my husband went down to the car wash and spoke to Saul Lara.  My husband told Saul he understood that it was an accident but was there anything that he could do to help get it repaired, even spliting the cost would help.  Saul said there was nothing he could do since there is a warning on the package of the air freshener that says only to be used for hanging purposes.  Problem is, the air freshner was already installed in the vehicle and the wrapper with the warning on it was never handed to my husband.  As my husband was there trying to get them to make the situation right he watched another worker install an air freshener into another car and take the wrapper away without the customer seeing the wrapper or the warning on the wrapper as well, pictures attached. The takeaway here is to be extremely careful with their air fresheners as they may damage your vehicle and cost you hundreds of dollars and also, if by chance the car wash damages your vehicle they will do nothing to fix the damage! After my husband spoke to Saul and showed him the damage he finally agreed to turn it in to the insurance company, the next day we got an email from Saul saying "Just following up on the air freshener incident. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do. Like I mentioned, we do have a warning label on the plastic wrapper. Only to be used for hanging purposes." We have emailed him 5 times since for clarification of the situation since we were never given the wrapper with the warning on it and only after 7 days did he respond with "Have your insurance handle this matter." It is quite unfortunate that we were loyal customers of this car wash, paid $50 for a car wash that will now cost us hundreds and the company doesn't care to help make it right when they damage a customer's vehicle. I will continue to follow up with them and update this post if there is any resolution.

I have been coming to this car wash forever. I think they do a good job on the cars. I drive trucks and I know they are going to get scratched a bit so I’m not inspecting their work with a super fine tooth comb. Also if I wanted it done perfect I know that 60$ for a hand wax is way cheap so I am laid back. I think they do go heavy on the armor all but some people like it. I appreciate the little bit of haggle room with them I typically prefer to give them more or a tip if the lower the was price . I think the guys have always been holding their own employees to a high standard , you will see them pointing out missed spots etc. plan and simple the guys do a good job and the price is fair I think they have always been open to finishing out spots that you address.

LONG STORY SHORT: OVERPRICED, LONG WAIT TIMES, POOR/SUBPAR “CARWASH” Been a customer for a long time, recently came because I desperately needed my floor mats cleaned. I had tried to come a few weeks previously but it was a 3+ hour wait. Showed up at 2 on a Monday and it was STILL a 3 hour wait. Forked over $100, left my car out of necessity. The place closed at 5:30 and I got no call that it was ready. When I saw they were closed and called I was told “oh I was just about to call you.” Show up at 5:45 (3h45m later) and the car is there. Guys are standing around kind of “rushing me” because they’re closed so I do a quick inspection but everything is still wet. drive it home and there’s so many wet spots inside on the dash, things that weren’t wiped down, visible dirt and pollen marks outside, looked like they barely cleaned. I wipe it down myself and let it go because it’s a car it’s going to get dirty and again: we’re here for the shampoo of the floor mats. When the floor mats were finally dry days later and I went to put them back in, this is what everything looked like AFTER I shook out the visible dirt/rocks. Nothing really cleaned, the back wasn’t even vacuumed just covered up with the drying floor mats so I missed it. I will never bring my car here again and I suggest you save your money and do the same

They used a power washer on my headlights, destroying the seal and putting water inside the lens on the driver's side. That cost me $300 to replace. The price of the wash itself was not great, and when they finished and I got home, I found lots of grass and dirt behind the things in the back they didn't bother to move. Lousy cleaning job. All around, a bad experience.

I didn't want to believe the reviews, as I used to come to this place a lot just a few years back. But oh my god! This is worse than the drive through car washes! There was still bird poop everywhere! And they stood in my way until I gave them a tip! I wish I hadn't. The windows have VERY visible streaks that they didn't before. The dash was not shiny at all. No shine to the dash. The grill has white residue all over it. This was supposed to be a present, but you can hardly tell the difference between before and after! Not worth $40 in the slightest!

Extremely disappointed and will never be coming back you just lost two bi-weekly truck details. My wife and I came in today for our bi-weekly car wash we ended up paying for a detail for my wife's tundra. They stated they would wash the carpets wipe the seats down dash tires the whole 9. Yd. The result was extremely disappointing and when we confronted them they said that we had to pay them $50 more I had already given them a $20 tip for my vehicle and went to pick up my son from summer school when my wife calls me saying they are telling me they're done but it does not look right. After she had tipped before inspection. I ended up going back and spoke to them. They left the mats on top of the seats. There was no wipe down of the seats armor all anything dash is completely filthy trash was not removed Even the carpets don't even look vacuumed . what a half-assed job you guys!. And you have the audacity to tell me I have to pay more to receive that. I come here every other week. You just lost $600 a month good job. And great business practices.... I Do not recommend this car wash anymore.

Usually go here for a full service wash and most of the time I’m not satisfied or find myself cleaning after it’s been washed. Today I went for an exterior wash for $20 “Papa Bubble” which I was told by the service advisor it included the outside wash and tire shine. I went through the wash, came out and parked thinking they’ll dry it and apply the tire shine. I sat there waiting patiently all though they didn’t appear to be busy. Once I seen another car come out, and began being serviced, I asked about my vehicle. The guy in charge said I paid just to drive through. I told him I was told it included tire shine, however I was met with, I was given bad information. He applied the tire shine regardless, but applied it very poorly and very minimal at all as if he was upset. I drove away and ended up grabbing a towel to smear the rest of the tire shine evenly. I hope this place does better, it has really gone down hill.

I’ve been coming here for a couple of years, and the service has always been hit or miss, but the quality has noticeably declined lately. My most recent visit was by far the worst. I paid $35 for an interior/exterior wash for our compact car, and it looked like they barely touched the interior. The car was returned with trash still on the seat, and the dash and seats hadn’t been wiped down at all!! It was essentially a quick vacuum and nothing more. I ended up taking the rag and starting to clean it myself, and they told me to pull off to the side if I wanted to finish it. I would’ve been better off going to a self-service place and doing it myself for half the price.
