Best retail experience I've ever had. The entire staff was super nice. From the person who I spoke with on the phone before going, to Darnell at the cash register. Levi who helped me was amazing and did everything he needed to meet my needs and wants. This store should be super proud of themselves. The store looked really great and clean and impressed me before I even walked in. Thanks to everyone including the delivery team who was more then willing to make a quick delivery right then and there. Thanks everyone!! I have to pass 100 different stores that all sell the same things just to get to your store but I will definitely be back.

Good quality products. Service is normally very good. But today, I needed some Shopvac filters. I found them, but they were not marked as to which vac they would fit. I couldn't seem to get any of the staff interested in helping me. So I bought a few things, but left without the filters. :(

This is only my second time here and both experiences were poor. The female manager in the evening has no interest in helping you and even less knowledge in their stock. When she tried to direct me to some parts that were literally 15 feet away, she rolled her eyes, made a ohhh sound and was irritated that she had to come down to show me. I showed her the piece I was looking for (hollow threaded tube for a lamp) and right off the bat said, we don't carry that. I had one with me which was an inch too long, after initially not finding one, i asked if they could cut an inch off, she said oh no, asked if I could borrow a hack saw and I'd cut it myself, she told me no, they didn't have one and should find a neighbor and borrow one from them. When I asked where the lamp parts were she just pointed down an isle. They actually had several different sizes. When I walked past her and told her you actually do carry them, she said, glad we could help, I told her you didn't help at all. When the clerk checked me out asked if I found everything, I said no and the people back there was no help, she just said oh. I'm new in the area and try to support small businesses, especially hardware stores but if this is how they treat their customers, I'll go to Amazon or Lowe's!!

I am out of the state of Michigan but wanted a gift for a family member near Midtown Ace Hardware, for easy returns and exchanges. The staff were so kind, waved delivery fees and delivered to my brother’s house. No hassles and no issues. So very thankful for kind, generous, happy service. Stopped in to purchase a grill and get it delivered to my home. Thinking I would get better service than a big box store. Wrong! Explained to manager I needed it placed on my second story deck. She stated she would work it out as they don’t normally do stairs. Grill showed up outside my back door. Called store and manager stated “My Bad” delivery folks won’t do stairs. Was this incompetence or was I intentionally misled to sell a grill. Be wary!

This store really is great, always clean, tidy, and organized. Employees are visible and available to help! I stopped in yesterday for a couple items and to ask about making a spare car key and so glad I did. Emily was so incredibly helpful and was able to get my spare key set up and programmed. I had an exceptional experience at Midway Ace Hardware in Kalamazoo. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm hello, and the staff went above and beyond to assist me. Instead of simply pointing me in the right direction, they personally guided me to find the product I was looking for. Their attentive and helpful approach made my shopping experience enjoyable and stress-free. I highly recommend Midway Ace Hardware for their excellent customer service and knowledgeable staff. And they have free popcorn

I was ready to give this Ace Hardware a five-star rating until I went to the check-out counter. I first encountered Steve, a lovely elderly gentlemen. I was looking for a specific item. Steve pointed to the aisle, and then told me it would be on the upper left-hand side. When I found the item I was looking for, Steve then clarified the one with higher PSI (pound per square inch), would be the better choice. Steve was so kind and my encounter with him was delightful. Then I was required to pay for my item. Trent, my "sales associate," was in his early 20's. He was helping the customer in front of me and had what I can only describe as a perpetual scowl. He never made eye contact, was rude and mumbled during the entire transaction. He had the same insolent behavior when I checked-out. The utter complacency with which he performed his job function just told me he did not want to be there. I asked if he was having a bad day? It seems so many cashiers are having "bad days." He grunted that he wasn't and wanted to know why I was making things difficult. I said some level of "pleasantry," was previously a standard for customer service. I asked if his supervisor was available and he started ranting and raving. Clearly, there was no room for constructive criticism, and I'm guessing his supervisor might have been his mom or something. I have found mid-management corporate has not been effective. So, based on my experience with Trent, I will never go back into this store ever again to make a purchase, as long as Trent is working there. If this makes the people who run the company of Ace Hardware happy, then by all means, hire more rude cashiers like Trent as if this is the new, "status quo." I have found some really good customer service from other 20 something year olds in my city. I definitely know that all of the twenty-something year olds who work at the two different Chick-fil-A's in my city have outstanding customer service and I tell them all the time. Imagine that. All Trent had to do was acknowledge that I was the customer. That's it. My wonderful five-star rating starting with Steve dropped to a one after encountering Trent.

Both hardware and decor. They had a a range of household tools and professional grade tools. The staff was very helpful and polite. They knew where to find what I needed. The prices are reasonable. Very easy with the aisles labeled and staff available and giving directions. The check out was brief and nicely done. The store was clan,organized and there was a friendly atmosphere. I was able to get what I needed and come home to finish hanging my pictures I found what I needed and all staff was helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. The staff was helpful and the store was clean.
