It was ok. Change machine was out. Auto wash was a little pricer but did an air dry cycle at the end which was cool.

This is not AAFES car wash. This is MacDill's Hobby Shop Car Wash. Google will not change it. Thats why I hate it being behind the Shoppette, Every one thinks it AAFES. It's not.

I used the automated car wash a few times. It's not the best I've use but it is pretty good and I haven't noticed any scratches or scuffs that some brushes make.

NOT AAFES, run by the 6th FSS which apparently don't care...Self serve wash bays have been-and continue to be today-coned off and unusable for weeks and months at a time. Always broken and a disservice to the hard working Service Members that deserve this basic service that all bases have. How hard could it be to maintain two wash bays??...Sad...

When it's actually working it does a good job for what it is. If you have any type of spoiler on your vehicle, it doesn't scrub under it every well or at all. It's broken about every 3 times I go by to use it. If you just want to get some of the crud off your car, it'll do.

The automatic wash is unreliable at best. Not even sure if there's a set schedule on when it's open or inoperable...this one is good for smaller cars...also when there's an issue or require a refund, customers have to go to the arts and crafts office which is about 5-10 min away.

The car wash is poorly maintained, with a major issue like a broken power washer gun in Bay 1. I lost $5, and got soaked in the process.

Most of the time this car wash has multiple things that are out of order. More importantly there is white middle age women who helps maintain the property that is very rude, unprofessional and entitled. The military deserves better than this. I don’t like any person approaching my vehicle especially with my child inside with the intention to provoke confrontation because I’m throwing away trash. She’s done this twice. She is very nasty and mean spirited. I don’t know why she feels so entitled to approach people but she comes off unhinged. The vacuums don’t work well and just eat your change. She complains about customers openly like it’s our fault things are broken. I want to feel comfortable and safe going there but I don’t.

Stopped by late one night after a smoothie mishap. Paid $2 to use the hand sprayer for 5 minutes on my rubber floor mats (thank God I invested in those!) and the outside of my vehicle. I wanted to finish the job with a complete automatic wash, but the drive-thru was closed. I also wish there were more bays available, as using this facility during daytime hrs often involves a long wait. I do appreciate that the self-service bay is open late.

Used the self wash but the spot rinse is empty. So I used the auto wash but at the basic price the dryer doesn’t operate! So I had to purchase a third wash… Fortunately that worked! Bonus star for being touch less! However the rails are pretty narrow and even for my small car I left with my rear right wheel curb rashed! So minus one star. The drier also left all the sides still wet so minus another star.

Not sure how this Car Wash is still considered operational. Out of the four vacuums, one turns on, but the wand is snapped. The automatic wash does not clean nor dry your car. Half the features on the self wash stations don't work. The brushes probably haven't been replaced since this wash station opened. This could've been a great recreational spot for Service Members to gather and enjoy doing what they love, eliminating some work stressors.
