No line on a sunny Black Friday after a messy rain shower last night. Location is convenient. Employees very pleasant and helpful. Used to come here frequently when I lived in the area. Tunnel is safe and efficient. Only problem - still had streaks of soap left on hood and trunklid after running through. There's a newer wash nearby I might try next time.

The person collecting money was nice and cheerful. However when I was going threw the car wash, they sprayed down the front, back, and right side of the car only. The left side (driver side) did not come out clean it still had residue from the tree I park under. Had they sprayed down the left side as well, I believe it would have been a good results. My daughter noticed all the gunk still there right after we took off. I know I only got the $10 wash, but I felt like I payed for a $5 wash. I usually pay less for a way better result. So that was pretty devastating due to this being my second attempt at a car wash company in Ann Arbor trying to find one that can actually clean a car. I also drive down a dirt rode so it was able to get the dust off just not residue apparently.

I normally choose touchless car washes but I was in the area and this one was recommended to me by a friend. I can confirm that this is a very good car wash. They will scrub the bugs and bird poop off your car before you go in! Stop waiting in obnoxious lines at zippys for mediocre service and go here instead- no lines and service is great!

The brush that the guys use on your windshield had something in it that put deep scratches in the paint on the hood, piller post and roof of my new truck. I will Never go back again.

I absentmindedly drove in right at closing but was nicely greeted and they thoroughly sprayed my car for it felt 20 times longer than the people at Zippy ever do and I didn’t even pay for the most expensive wash. Wash was also solid for how much was on the car. Will basically stop going anywhere else. Prices are also better.

Self service was well setup for a quick wash, cost $6-8 I reckon, it does take some time to get all the foam off. My pump seemed a bit finicky w the pre-wash so I just stuck to final rinse and foam. I reckon this is one of the better places to take your car fe cleaning in Ann Arbor.

I haven't been to this car wash in a long time because I moved. I was in area decided to stop in they have new vacuums certain hours of the day it's free! Vacuums work great!!!!!! I washed my car 3 bucks to start you add change as minutes left go down I was able to wash and do tires and wax for under 10 bucks! My car turned out better than it has in a very long time!! Being very honest! Very nice shine to car! Very much recommended this car wash is one of the best! I'll definitely be going back there!

Mini van mom here who vacuums her goldfish ridden car once a week. Vacuums work great and are free from 8-5. I usually try to come early in the day and there are not many cars here which is great. There are always at least 2 guys brushing/rinsing off your car before you go through which is great. The ONLY negative that, I personally don’t care about, is that it might not dry off your car as well as people may like, but drive a little bit fast coming out and you’ll be fine.

I really liked Lighthouse Car Wash, however, it has been sold to Jax Carwash and they don't answer the phone. I am trying to figure out if all of my coupon books (which my kids bought me for birthdays and Christmas) are now invalid. I will have to find another independent car wash I guess.

I went to the self car wash area. I saw the sign posted there stating it was $3 and I swiped my card and got approximately 5 minutes to wash my car. Once I finished I drove home and found I was charged $10 instead of $3. This was the first time I used the credit card form of payment at this establishment and the last time. You don't know how much they will charge your card without a bonified receipt! Still, I tried calling the place the next day. I called repeatedly with no answer and no way to leave a message either. I am forced to dispute this charge with my bank. Terrible experience!

This is a great car wash! The guy who takes payment is so friendly, the three guys who sprayed my very dirty car down took extra time to give it a thorough spray and when I pulled away, my car was actually clean. Way way better experience than Zippy. I will go out of my way to have my car washed here.

I used self service wash and first thing I noticed the water pressure was very low compared to other car wash I used in another places but I was most disappointed when there were no clothes to dry up the car. Now my car looks more dirtier then it was before wash.

My car has lowered suspension, so minimum ground clearance is only 4 inches, but they clean my car okay! Actually, most of time they done great job, but just sometimes, like only 20%, they don’t. When they are busy, they don’t clean my car perfectly especially wheels.

***Update March 2025*** Credit card readers are consistently broken, self service bays are always flooded. Do better lighthouse. **Update May 2023** Lighthouse has done some major upgrades to the parking lot and vacuums. Vacuums are free between 8am and 5pm. There are now dual hoses on them with the traditional flat extension and also a crevice tool. There is also a place to clamp your floor mats. I should also add that when you go through this wash, there are always two people spraying off the car. They spray with power washers then wipe the front and back of vehicles with big brushes before you go into the machine. This is a well-established car wash that's great for auto-washing or DIY. They have 5 bays in back of the property where you can spray off your car yourself. It's covered and costs about 2 bucks to start. They maintain their equipment pretty well so everything works great. In the bays they also have brushes and clamps to hold your floor mats. ***Update March 2025*** If you want to do the auto wash, this one is a little better than the other auto washes in the area. Some of the employees have been there for years and they do a great job. Hint: if you slip them a tip when you drive into the auto wash, they will usually spray your car off a little better.
