In no universe do you need to scan my license plate for me to get a car wash. Don't go here. They sell your information to God knows who and there is absolutely no reason for them to need it.

I will retract my previous 1 star review. The new tunnel wash is great and drying is a plus, the self service is open and was renovated to some extent and worked good for my partners tesla. Only thing that really keeps me at 3 stars is they close at 6pm. I get off work at 6pm and get in at 830am. So I cannot utilize what would be a convenient location during the week. But for the weekend and to have a self wash on the east side of ann arbor is still a plus.

I was told I would get a promo discount but it didn't happen. Car wash is great but unlimited, $42/mo is only 2 WASHES PER DAY!! Mister Car Wash is unlimited 19.99/mo with UNLIMITED WASHES...REALLY!! I drive Uber. I NEED unlimited washes!! Say what you mean and mean what you say Jax!!😡

So earlier this week I saw an ad for a free car wash at Jax Kar Wash if you downloaded their app. I signed up, gave them my phone number and email, but never received instructions to redeem the free wash. After messaging them on Facebook, they told me free washes would be available all week leading up to their grand opening, so I decided to give them a try. As a rideshare driver, I need a spotless car daily. I stopped by on Saturday before my shift in Ann Arbor. The tunnel wash itself seemed fine, but the employee drying cars used a wet, dirty towel — leaving streaks and marks across my windshield, paint, chrome, and windows. When I pointed this out, staff acted like nothing was wrong until I showed them with a clean towel and wiping my windshield off. Even then, no solution was offered: no rewash, no wipe‑down, no manager. Just indifference. I had to wipe my windshield off so I could leave, and then pay for another wash at Zippy’s — which I shouldn’t have had to do. Jax Kar Wash had one chance to earn me as a daily customer, and they blew it. Poor management, poor training, and poor customer service. Jax’s, you owe me $12. I’ll stick with Zippy’s, where my car actually comes out clean.

My experience has been up and down with JAX. I signed up for their unlimited plan after explaining to the sales person which location I lived near to the sales person. Within two weeks closed their closest location for remodel. It would’ve been nice to know that was the plan prior to the membership. That took months to complete and finally reopen. Then I came up the other day for wash and the car wash was down for a maintenance… I was bummed and with my kids I asked if they could let me use the self wash for the day due to the maintenance and was told no. Come back in a couple hours…disappointed I left. Overall the car wash is fine, customer service is pretty lame.

Jax's needs to pick their managers with a bit more care. I went to Jax today, 1/12/26 at 2:30 pm on Jackson Rd for a wash. As this was not my first time there or my first time going through a car wash period. I was trying to leave enough room between the back of the vehicle in front of me and the front of my vehicle so the guys would have enough room to work while cleaning the rear of the car in front. Apparently, the "manager" Calvin on the driver's side who holds the sign to indication to "pull forward" was not pleased. While sitting in my car I heard him say in a very disgusted tone, "If you go any slower, you'll be going backwards. Jesus Christ!" Then when I had pulled adequately forward, he yell, "Put it in neutral!" His tone was extremely off-putting and unwarranted. Well Calvin, excuse me for trying to be considerate. I drove back around to speak to a manager. That is when I found out from another manger that Calvin was also a manager. I will be speaking to his supervisor, John, tomorrow since he was not there today. If this is acceptable behavior for a Jax manger then they really need to look at their criteria and hirer higher quality personnel. He is an embarrassment. Extremely disappointed!!!!

I happened upon this A2 car wash the day after they opened on Packard. I could not have been, and continue to be, happier with everything about the nice people there and the quality of the wash experience. I tried the monthly deal offered and have gotten way more than I paid for all this good service. I'd have to say it is the best car wash experience I've ever had, and I'm old, like 76.

I love how quick and easy it is to get everything done. There are a ton of vacuum and cleaning stations, two quick and easy self pay kiosks for the car wash, there’s an attendant at those kiosks that help make things quick and easy. There is also several self cleaning stations for people who may not like the automatic car washes. After you go through the car wash there is always someone out there to towel dry your car for you. Everything is just so easy and convenient but the best part is still the price! $15 a month for unlimited car washes which is great for the winter time especially and their vacuum stations are always free!

Packard St. in Ann Arbor is THEE absolute best place to take care of your vehicle! It's a one stop for everything. I love that they kept the "Do it yourself spray wash" located in the back. Sometimes your car needs attention that a drive-thru can not take care of, like floor mats, puppy cages or what ever. On top of that, EVERYONE is so nice! It's like the mom and pop shop of car washes, where they know you by face or by name. This is my go-to from now on!

I am so grateful for the excellent care that the Jax staff at this location was willing to give me when I tell you that they took care of not just my car like it was one of their own they make sure everyone’s car was properly washed getting the snow off I didn’t have to ask them to clean my tires or anything. They gave top-tier Care and I really do appreciate that other Jax location needs to follow what they’re doing because when I tell you, I came from Detroit and just happened to need a car wash I was so grateful that this one was close enough to my sister‘s house that I could just go and get one after the snow blizzard that we had they made my truck look amazing!!!
