We purchased a 2023 GMC Canyon from this dealership last month. Sven was our salesperson and worked with us in the purchase. He did a fantastic job. The truck was actually located at the Hertrich GMC in seaford but Hertrich Mazda brought it up to the dealership here in Dover so we could test drive it. Overall happy with the entire process. We only spent about 3 hrs there compared to 8 at another competitors dealership 3 years ago, when we purchased our other vehicle.

I scheduled an appointment with Heritage Mazda of Dover for a simple transmission flush. My car has over 250,000 miles, and I made it clear when booking the appointment. They confirmed the appointment and had me drive over an hour just to tell me they didn’t want to work on it because of the mileage. If that’s the case, they should’ve told me up front instead of wasting my time and gas. It’s frustrating to be treated like your car doesn’t matter just because it has higher mileage — especially when all I wanted was basic maintenance. I expected better communication and professionalism from a Mazda service department.

A few weeks ago I needed to find a car in a pinch and Emma was able to go above and beyond to help me! From listening to my needs, and the needs of my parents (I am a young adult and they were helping!) to the test drive where she showed me through various terrains and brake checks beyond just normal road driving. The car we found is amazing and has suited my needs perfectly, I couldn’t be more thankful we went Hertrich!

By far the WORST Mazda dealership I’ve ever dealt with. I would rather drive upstate than ever waste my time here again. I made the mistake of giving their service department a chance after my windshield cracked and messed up my front sensing camera. I went through all the steps, got it “diagnosed,” and scheduled for a new camera. The day of my appointment, I dropped my car off first thing in the morning and it sat there ALL DAY. Hours later (two hours before closing) I finally get a video that’s less than a minute long showing they didn’t even replace the camera. When I called, the manager casually admitted they ordered the WRONG part and said they’d call me when the correct one came in. A week went by—no call. I called them myself and was told I’d get a call back. It’s now been OVER A MONTH and I never heard from anyone. Absolutely pathetic. Zero accountability. Zero customer service. The best part? I ended up taking my car somewhere else and the camera was replaced in TWO HOURS—done right the first time. This place is a complete joke. Don’t waste your time, money, or energy. I will never step foot here again and I tell everyone I know to stay far away.

My wife and I have purchased several cars over the years from Hertrich Capital because of the customer service, mainly Tina. Despite having a concerning experience with our previous purchase and hearing Tina had passed we stayed true to Hertrichs two months ago and purchased another car. A few days ago a check engine light came on. I called Hertrich Capital to see what I need to do and was told that they couldnt work on my car and needed to call Hertrich Chevrolet. After making that call I asked if there was any dealer warranty on recently purchased cars. The service rep was very nice but told me that since I bought the car at a different dealership he couldnt help me. I reminded him that I had purchased the car from Hertrich and I was informed that it didn't matter but advised me to call back to Capital sales and they could help. I did as he asked and an older gentleman answered. He pulled my purchase up in the system and then told me that the issue I had was something I did like put in the wrong type of gas. I was calling because I was told by Hertrich Chevrolet to call and ask if there was anything Capital could help with, as I bought the car recently. He responded by saying that when I bought it doesnt matter and this is what I get for buying a used car with mileage. I went looking for the old Hertrich customer service values and I was sad to receive the exact opposite. Not even a kind word or sorry for your luck. John Cannon

Just bought a gen 4 Miata from them, best customer service I’ve ever had at a dealership. Buying a car is a long and sometimes tedious process but the gentleman over at Hertrich’s got me right! The car is a lot of fun too and I couldn’t have asked for any better. Great people to buy a car from. I’ve had horrible experiences at dealerships before but this has been an easy place to get a nice car that is listed correctly. Just wanted to note that Ameer was the guy who made this happen! He is a great salesman and even better person.

I went to Hertrich’s Mazda to check out some of the models. I was able to test drive the CX50 and absolutely love it! Emma Elliott was my sales person, she’s great! Very patient, running around in the rain to get some cars for me to drive and had to deal with my dark sense of humor. I can’t recommend Emma enough along with all the staff I dealt with.

My husband and I purchased a brand new SUV from Hertich's. Emma was our amazing Sales Rep. She was extremely kind and patient, as we were still indecisive about which vehicle we wanted after looking at quite a few of their options. The Manager, Nish, was also a pleasure to work with and very knowledgeable. Together, they went above and beyond to ensure we walked away with a vehicle perfect for us. There was a slight discrepancy with the listed odometer mileage, but overall the vehicle is great, and the entire staff we encountered were all very nice—a great group of people to do business with.

Just had the best new car buying experience of my life! Went in on a Friday afternoon to look at the CX 30. Sean Stephens listened to what I wanted and showed me several cars that fit the bill. But none were the color or engine I wanted. He talked to his manager and they were optimistic the could get me the car from another dealer. The manager(Mish) got on the phone with other dealers and I got a call on Saturday saying they were successful. I picked it up on Monday. I have bought 11 new cars in 54 years of driving and Sean and Mish were awesome! Sean really knows his cars— he answered all my questions. I highly recommend Hertrich Capitol Dover and Sean Stephens. I hope the service department is as good as the sales department.

I had been shopping for a car, for what seemed like forever. I had terrible experiences with different dealers. I stopped to look at the car lot here, and I was warmly greeted by Christian. He made me feel important, comfortable, and in control. There was no pressure, and he was so down to earth and normal. JoeBeth and Maria were so kind and helpful. They worked to get me the best price, and make me feel good. I am so happy with my 2019 Lincoln Nautilus! He’s a beauty! I never thought I’d be able to get something like this as a divorced single mom. Thank you to the amazing staff at Hertrich Capital! I will never forget this experience, and I will definitely base customer service moving forward, on how I felt leaving here. Thank you!!!
