I didn't shop in this store as I don't in most Fred Meyers as their unaffordable mainly in the meat department and produce. I came into this particular location for some dog food and walked out with none because of price I did notice in the meat department and most things were on discount and the discount was not very much a dollar or two off. The prices are much better at grocery outlet.

Fred Meyers has always been a staple in our household. whether we're just shopping for food, Furnishing the house, picking up school supplies, stocking up on seasonal merchandise, you can get it all here. The produce selection is out of this world with vast selection of organic and non-organic. Although I don't really shop at them, the meat and seafood section is pretty legit and the deli has a wide variety of pre-made food if you're in a hurry. There's also hey Jeweler, Chase Bank, and play area for kids to keep them busy while you shop. Great store to find almost anything.

Shitty service if you have to buss the red button and get help to get a tool. Currently standing here for the last 23 minutes and still no one and I have two little kids with me. I’m about ready to let the lose in the store then maybe someone will pay attention and do their damn jobs!

I’ve had 3 deliver drivers steel from us. They add on personal items charge us for them then keep the items. One of the deliver drivers was Jeanette G. so if you get her as your shopper be aware!

Just had a TERRIBLE customer service experience with Molly at the South Salem Fred Meyer. I've shopped here for 30 years and am so disappointed in how rude she was. I need to track down a receipt (which with most stores/restaurants is very easy and straightforward) - but not for Molly. She sent me to an automated phone system that had no option for receipts. So I called back and she said "I don't have a clue" but then suggested I come in to the store so she could call with me there. But she wouldn't tell me when she works so I just have to guess about when to come in. Super rude. Super frustrating. Bad look for the store.

Frankly overpriced on most groceries, and I do not love that their store brand is Kroger. Still, they are relatively convenient, with the ability to get groceries, hardware and housewares all in one place. And they are union.

Worst store for anything. Prices are double of walmart and 30% higher than any other grocer. Also they are misleading with their prices. First off, they dont even have prices on stuff, amd if they do its a card holder discounted price, written in the smallest lettering. I need a magnifier to even read the type. Never be back again.

We mostly go to this on because my wife used to work there and all my prescriptions are there. Sometimes getting some of me seizure meds is a hassle because they are considered controlled substances. They told me to call those in 3 days before I needed them rather than using the app, which made it easier than running out and then not having any in stock. Really like the fuel points. We save quite a bit on gas just from getting my meds there.

I've been loving "Freddy's" since they built one in Albany in my youth. I lived in California for too many years, but when I'd visit family in Oregon, I chose my routes to hit Freddy's in Grants Pass or Brookings, and of course when I got to Salem, my go-to Freddy's was on Commercial. Now I live in NE Salem, so I probably use the Lancaster/Market Street Freddy's at least once a week. I love Freddy's!

Their pricing is predatory. I frequently end up paying more than I expect based on the pricing in the isles. On my last visit there was a sign for chicken breast priced at $2.99 per pound. I took a picture of the sign to make sure it would ring up correctly at the register. It was actually $7.99 per pound and they said "oh sorry, that sale ended two weeks ago". I will say the staff that work in the store are always very friendly and helpful, but I can't look past how terrible it feels to get ripped off by fake sales.

This Fred Meyer deserves way more than 5 stars—easily a 5++++ stars, hands down. I’ve been to plenty of Fred Meyer stores across Washington and Oregon, but I’ve never seen one this new, spotless, organized, and modern. We have two Fred Meyers near our house and I honestly wish they were at this level. From the moment we walked in, the store felt bright, clean, and fully stocked. The shelves were always neat and organized no matter what time we came in—and we came in a LOT during our weeklong stay at a nearby Airbnb. That alone says something about how well the staff takes care of the place. The staff here deserve major praise. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly, helpful, and kept the store looking great. It really stood out compared to many other locations.

I'm originally from lane county and people down there are just not nice or friendly at all or helpful. I go into this place and their selection is wild so much stuff. The store is so huge, I got tired of walking around, but I needed help and a worker even climbed up into a case and handed me what I needed. There are always available employees to assist you and they're nice about it, it's really great to be somewhere where people treat you like a human and are caring

Very best grocery store ever. Everyone is so helpful. Ask a question like where is the tuna, they walk you over and hand it to you. Need help putting items on check out counter and bagying and Wendy helps you. Ask Brent in produce how to keep asparagus fresh. Ask Dawn, Gracey, Jen, and Mgr. David in clothing and they are great. Ask Mgrs Jason and Mark anything and they cant do enough for you. Maria in bakery jumped through hoops for me. Eric helped me take groceries to ny car. What a wonderful young man. Ladies at StarBucks are terrific. I go there everytime I shop. Just the best in Electronics I can trust them to steer me right. I get everything from TV's to drones. Jewlery is another great experience. Last week I was just looking for a not too expensive pair of earrings. The lady waited on me for several minutes. I saw a young man obviously looking nerviously for an Engagement ring for Valentine's Day. I told her go help him. She said that's okay you were first. I said please go help him. Who would do that? Only the best! I live in West Salem and I shop here because of the constantly great people.
