When I called the gentleman on the phone was very rude, and seemed exasperated & unprofessional. I simply asked if when the next available opening was and if he worked on weekends. He then proceeded to go off on me for simply asking him about weekend availability. A simple, "no I don't work on weekends" would have sufficed. Please beware if you are considering this place for any of your car needs.

I was very impressed with the quality, care, effort, and detail that went into detailing my car. I have been to chain brands such as Miracle Car Wash and Simonize Car Wash many times, but I have to say, Fine Shine is detail oriented and just did a better job. The last time iv'e seen my car look that clean inside and out was when I drove it off of the dealership lot. I recommend Fine Shine Auto Detailing.

I’ll never go anywhere else as long as I live in Iowa City. I’m probably also making friendship bracelets for us too (details below), so he can detail your car, but he’s gonna be my best friend. Sorry boutcha. The weather changed to rain the day I originally made my appointment, so he called me like two days in advance to prompt me to move my appointment. Then when I got there, he did a once over the car with me to make sure he got an idea of what he was looking at. While we did that he noticed that a part of the inside of my door was busted and we talked about how I was planning to try to fix it... fast forward an hour and a half later: I come back to get my car, and he washed and waxed it (when I only paid for the inside to get cleaned), because he felt bad that my parents were coming into town and would see a dirty outside of my car... AND HE FIXED THE INSIDE OF MY DOOR, BECAUSE HE FELT BAD ABOUT THAT TOO! This dude might not even be real, and this might all be a dream... but it’s been like 4 hours, and my car still looks great, so I’m gonna guess it was real. Don’t go anywhere else. For real. (Yes I also posted this review on Yelp... yes I copy and pasted because I’m lazy... and yes this is as funny as I get... sue me 🤷🏻‍♂️)

BOB IS THE MAN! I had vomit in my car and every detail shop was going to make me wait a week, so they could up charge me. Bob got me in without fault. He was super honest and gave it to me straight. It only took him a couple of hours and PRESTO! It was better then the day I bought the car from the dealership. I left a few hundred dollars in the side compartment on accident. When I picked up the car, the compartment was cleaned and the money returned to where it was. Not a dollar missing. Not only can you depend on this guy to get your car cleaner then the day you bought it. You can trust him, too. Which means a lot in this day in age. Lastly, he under charged me from his original estimate. Completely blown away with this fella! Thank you Bob!

Fine Shine Detailing is an auto service second to none. I contacted Fine Shine on a Sunday afternoon, and scheduled an appointment for Monday. The vehicle was a 2010 Toyota Camry with 175 K miles. Bob brought the car back to life. Three stage exterior buffing, interior shampoo, and dash / side panels. Engine, wheel wells, tires all included. If you are looking for a fast and efficient car detailer at an affordable price, consider Bob and give him a call.

I am so glad we found Bob on google we called over 50 places that detail in and out of state and they all weren’t very helpful I saw the reviews and quickly called and I must say this is a honest man he loves what he does he made our life so much easier for our new backup truck we just purchased for the winter and he did an amazing job we went to get a new battery put in right after bob finished and the guy who put in the new battery at autozone seen the engine and asked who detailed it I proudly said Bob did the Job!!! I would recommend Bob to anyone who wants to get there moneys worth.

I have been Bob’s customer for several years. My little red chariot has been treated so well by him, always with some special extra touch. I don’t know how he does it in just a few hours. I have always accused him of having elves hidden in that garage. I was not disappointed today…my vehicle gleamed inside and out and under the hood! as always. Bob is extremely competent, accommodating, sincere and fun! to do business with. (Today there was a sold sign on my windshield when I arrived to pick up:) I have had many vehicles detailed in my lifetime, but never have the results been even close to his work.
