It's a new store so the place is sparkling clean. They have a nice variety of tools from wrenches to safes. I really like how they give you a couple options to choose from to better fit individual needs. Great virus awareness and protocols.

I buy way to much stuff here, and probably go in once every two weeks just to window shop. Quality has gone way up on many of their tools. Employees here are nice and seem happy enough to not have a lot of turnover - Harbor Freight is a good employer by all reports. I have never had an issue with them honoring a warranty, coupon, etc. Store is small-ish but has what you need.

Love my local Herbour Freight location. The store manager is awesome and caring. He listened to all my concerns and gave me suggestions appropriately. I do think the price is higher than the quality of the tool you get.

Low cost stuff, but I’ve had some poor quality too. You get what you pay for. If you’re not using it all the time, it will probably be fine. I want don’t want to buy another membership and am annoyed at members only prices, so I probably won’t be back.

I like HF, but with some of their managers at the Iowa City store, they act as if everyone they come into contact with, they need to police their every movement. It's like they are more concerned with watching you than they are helping you as a customer. I thought it was just me, but after speaking with friends and hearing customers talk about in the store while shopping, I realized it isn't just me.

Great prices overall, but I had a disappointing experience a couple of years ago when I purchased a blue toolbox. I was informed it was in stock, so I drove home to get a larger vehicle, only to return and find out it wasn’t actually in stock. This really impacted how I felt treated as a customer, especially after spending over $1,250 on tools during that visit. I expected better customer service in resolving the situation, but instead, I was told the closest option was at the Cedar Rapids location or that I’d have to wait over a week to order it. It wasn’t a good experience, and I decided not to renew my membership. That said, I still shop here on occasion because of the prices, but the customer service could definitely use improvement
