Store literally always has boxes all over the place and employees who have zero sense of urgency. Their card readers require you to put your pin number in regardless of what method you pay with. Garbage ass place.

The place has really changed. I left the store when it was running great. Not anymore now its dirty, The staff is incompetent, it's hard to move around some isles because of the boxes and the products on the ground. Many shelves are empty as well.

This store is fairly new and to see it in this condition was disgusting. It was dirty, disorganized , things in all the isles. I know I will never shop there again. Whoever the management is, is clearly not taking care of that store. At least the kid behind the counter was apologetic. Very bad experience. No stars at all!

Good store, but they can't keep no help & that poor old lady is always in there stocking shelves & trying to run the show on her own. THEY ARE HIRING IF ANYONE IS LOOKING FOR WORK. Can't walk thru the isles due to items always being scattered all over.

Worst store experience ever, they charged 35¢ over shelf price. They refused to refund the difference and refused to allow a return. Didn't even leave the store, then they pretended to call the law when I went back to snap the photo for proof. SW9th and Watrous.

Check out was good. Didn't wait but a few minutes. First time in a long time. That's before COVID-19. But aisles have too much in the way of customers behind the stocking of the shelves. Other than that.. it's ok.

I'm trying to find someone to file a complaint, right now. I've never seen that store so disheveled, it has always been one of the better ones. I've also never been treated so aggressively, angrily and I'm floored how someone can be in a management position and have customer service behavior like Antoine Taylor did today. I understand everyone has bad days or moments,but I get the feeling this was his normal way to behave and treat people. The store is terrible now. It's condition is so bad and yet it's so new. Just disgusting.

Store was a mess. There was clutter everywhere and boxes just stacked up and random parts of the store very hard to get around. But the clerk was very nice and friendly and apologize for all the mess you said that is something they are trying to get under wraps and taking care of due to changing of management.

It's kind of a toss up when you go to this place, I have been there and seen amazing customer service and friendly employers, but at the same time I have been there standing outside waiting for someone to finish shopping and the lady inside at the register stop what she is doing to tell me why dog has to be on a leash. Ummmm...... excuse me but if I'm outside the store it's none of your business what I'm doing outside. And I didn't realize that was under there job description. You would think most people would just call animal control. In any case for the most part this store is awesome.

It's a really good store, if you have a new employee you need to make sure someone is up there at all times as they don't know what to do exactly. Today, around 320PM I went in to shop for a few items, the line had two ladies in front of me at that time. The first lady had a coupon, the second wanted to return a phone charger that doesn't work, she had the receipt. The cashier Lexie was very rude the entire time, all 3 of us ladies asked her to call manager up and she wouldn't. She refused to take the charger as a return and then proceeded to say the first lady had stolen items even tho she just paid for them. I don't like waiting in line for 15 minutes, you need to take better care of your customers. I called and spoke with the manager and she said "I will talk with Lexie". Let me say this, you will get another bad review if that Lexie chick does not change her attitude and quickly assumes people are stealing. Get a better grip because there are other places people will put their money into.

I have never been treated so badly in my life. They posted in store prices and refused to honor them. The corporate site refuses to accept complaints. Employees ( management ) can treat people any way they like and corporate doesn't give a damn. Enter at your own risk. Prices aren't everything. Quality sucks. They don't take returns. Check your receipts, it costs more than you think. Management does whatever they want. Not like the other stores. I tried to remove all stars, but it won't let me.

There is definitely a difference between family Dollar stores, it's almost like night and day I went to the family Dollar up on University next to McKay's the manager's name was Ashley and she was absolutely a poor service provider. When I asked her about her policy she was really kind of vague stated I could go online and find the information there. She said that other family Dollar stores would take back the item that I purchased from them, I thought that doesn't make sense. Or the stores individually owned, so I left out of there after telling her that she should know more about her policies and procedures especially if she was a manager and she thought that was quite rude of me. I went on another errand, Indian pass another family Dollar store on Southeast 14th you're talking about customer service she had it going on. She said they called her the boss lady, I believe her name was Christina what she laid out for customer service was something that a lot of the stores have lost.I explained my situation and she said without hesitation come on in and let's see what we can do for you and truly enough I left out of there very satisfied with what she had done. Customer service is far gone they take your money but really don't care whether you shop there or not, I told Ashley I would never step foot back in to that store on University as they were just playing not organized and not customer service friendly. We can all designate how and when we're going to spend our money but we don't have to pay people to be unkind when you're trying to get a simple answer to a question that they should be prepared for.

I’m guessing the old manager that was big dark hair and mouthy loud no longer works here. I haven’t been here for a long time because that manager was always in the store, running her mouth to everyone and the rudest customer service I’ve ever seen. My husband and I have refused to shop here for the last year because of her. I decided to go there today and it was a lot more peaceful. The two ladies there were very helpful on finding what I needed since the store had changed a little. It didn’t seem as messy as it has in the past so I think I’ll try it again sometime soon. Hopefully this manager, they have now is kinder to her customers

Tired of places not opening their bathrooms to the public just to save less work for themselves or because there labeling certain people as a possible thief. Just got off of work and had to go to the bathroom really bad but needed an item from the store Just to get there and it's not open to the public. You have to have an open bathroom to the public legally. Hopefully you get this taken care of. Someone is going to sue u one. You might want to fix this issue before a small problem becomes a big one.

Staff are very friendly but the managers attitude absolutely sucks! She’s rude to customers and has had employees quit because of her attitude! I’ve heard her call her cashiers slow or dumb because they don’t know what they are doing. We are not allowed to take carts outside which makes it hard to do a big shopping haul as we have to take multiple trips outside.

Have a lot of things that you need for household items along with grocery items. It's one of my go to places for things that I need that have a lot of things in the store for the most part. They are organized and well stocked. The bathrooms are clean and they have friendly cashiers
