Hands down one of the best mechanics in town that won't try to sell you what you don't need or charge you a arm and a leg. I trust with my vehicle.

The guys here are always a pleasure to work with. They let you know what needs to be worked on and let you know what solutions cost. They don't over charge and let you bring in your own parts to save money. Wonderful people

If you want a good, honest, thorough, exceptionally skilled mechanic who has been into cars for over 44 years, to fix your car--- this is your man! He will never scam or lie to you. He saved me nearly $1,000 that Meineke was saying I needed to repair, over something that was a 3 minute job & didn't need any replacement part for! I enjoy having him work on my car & will continue to return to his garage when I need it! He definitely won me over! :)

The transmission in my car went out. My brother suggest that I bring my car here to get an estimate of how much it'll cost and if it can be fixed. Well, Elven looked at it then gave me an amount of how much it'll be to fix. Elven allowed me to keep my car in his garage while I deliberated on what to do. Elven is very kind and courteous.

Elven is the best. I have used his business for over 10 years. 100% honest . He will never take advantage of anyone and always does the right thing. They have fixed things that others can't find for me. I have referred many people to him and they are always happy.

I never thought there was such a thing as an honest mechanic. Until now! For several years I have used Elven and he is honest to a fault (if there is such a thing). Twice my air conditioner went out on two separate vehicles. Arll the other shops said I needed a new compressor, which costs $500 $700 dollars. I took it to Elven, and when he called and told me it was all done, I asked him how much, and he said "well, it was just a bad switch (relay thing) and it's $47.00"!! Can you believe that? It worked perfect after that! He could have told me anything to make a bunch of money, instead he was truthful! I have had Midas tell me about work I needed with quotes at $300 to $600 dollars. I took the work to Elven and both times it was exactly half the price! God bless you Elven for being a man of the highest integrity!

Elven's Garage has been my go to mechanic business for nearly 25 years. Elven is honest and will tell you when your car's not worth fixing. His shop has made specialty metal parts, figured out a problem we couldn't, and repaired many issues of ours over the years, including replacing a motor. All done well and for a fair price!

Finally!! I've found an honest mechanic that treats you fairly in cost. Great service and I wasn't gouged by the criminal overcharges on parts that I've experienced with Goodyear, Meineke, and Christian Brothers. Repair was completed before expected and with quality!! Thank you, Elven's, I hope this review brings you much more business!! People here deserve your fairness and quality work.

When I lived on the East and West Coasts, I always had family that were mechanics so I never had to pay the prices of auto shops. Then I moved to Springfield and have no choice but to pay auto shop prices now. They try to charge me more than my own doctor! Especially now, in this Inflation. Big O Tires on Glenstone gave an estimate for a little over $900. My friends had my car towed there thinking it would be a good option. They were borrowing my car when it broke so....When they told me that, I was like, yeah-right. Thank God, my friend Mel introduced me to Elven's Garage when I first moved to Springfield. I trusted her, I knew she was smart, and she wouldn't dare send me to someone she thought might be just alright. Elven has fixed my car three times in since 2019. It is an older car, all unrelated repairs too. Each time, prices and work were AWESOME. This last time Elven fixed my car, he did what Big O Tires tried to charge me over $900 to fix, for only $245! Honestly, I kind of didn't want to let Springfield's best kept secret out because then Elven might get too busy to help me but he truly deserves the accolades. We have Master Mechanics in my family, so we are pretty tough to please. We can always find something wrong when we took our car to other auto shops, before I met my buddy Mel who told me about Elven. The shoddy, lazy, work of mechanics. Put the filter in backwards, gave us the car back with messy tires, missing parts, ugh. Not Elven though, if he retires I will freaking cry a river, then when I am done hours later, I will be happy for him like a decent human who appreciated him while I had him. He is fair and does things right, VERY HONEST AND ETHICAL. My best kept secret, but I do not think it is fair in this Inflation to keep him a secret anymore. Especially with these other companies trying to take people for all they have!!! Straight lying to us saying we need two instead of one and the parts are hard to get, what bull. I had my car towed to Elven on Friday afternoon and had it back Monday morning. I am pretty sure he might not work weekends, but I don't remember now. You know that $245 included parts too! Somehow, Elven had the exact part needed for my foreign car. Don't judge, it was given to me free when my friend bought herself another car. Thank you My Master Mechanic, Elven, God Bless Your Fair and Ethical Soul.

Excellent mechanic. The only one I would trust now. Another shop installed my CV axle wrong and tore down my transmission line. Elven fixed everything for decent price.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Elvin’s Garage – Springfield, MO I haven’t had any work done by Elvin yet — not because I don’t want to, but because there’s a waiting list over six months long just to get in. That alone says plenty. He’s sitting at around 4.8 to 4.9 stars with well over a hundred reviews, and you won’t find a single dissatisfied customer in the bunch. People talk about how he did jobs other shops quoted at $5,000 for just $300, or how he hand-fabricated parts that manufacturers said were no longer available. That’s not just skill — that’s real craftsmanship, the kind that’s almost gone these days. Elvin strikes me as the kind of mechanic who’d go out of his way to help someone in a tough spot. If you were a single mom who could only pay a little each week, I honestly believe he’d work something out. I can’t say that for certain since I’ve never asked, but after meeting him countless times on parts deliveries, I can tell you he’s one of maybe five or ten mechanics I’d ever trust to tell me the full truth and nothing but the truth about what’s really wrong with my car. Every time I’ve driven by, I’ve seen a small sign in his yard that says “I mow yards – $25.” That hit me hard. Here’s a man who likely served in Vietnam, still working six days a week turning wrenches, mowing yards on the side just to make ends meet. That’s not right. He’s a war hero — someone who fought for this country in a war that actually mattered — out here grinding just to survive. Meanwhile, people half his age can’t even be bothered to show up for work. Elvin, if you ever see this — thank you for your service, your honesty, and for reminding this town what real work ethic and integrity look like.
