Super convenient to have this near by, good enough selection that I can usually count on them having the ingredients that I realise halfway through cooking dinner I forgot. However I usually try to keep my trips brief due to the low quality of customer service and general sketchiness of this particular store.

The employees were veey nice and helpful. The visit took less time than I'd anticpiated which was great, considering how hot it is now. Overall a good location and store. Always been friendly and have decent prices, along with quality merchandise.

I went here to look for automotive stuff. I found what i needed plus a little bit extra! I was able to get a cashier to direct me to the isle i needed without too much trouble and then she proceeded to walk me directly to the item without being asked. I was grateful! She also gave me her own reviews on some of the product and by doing that i was able to get a really really good product for my power steering that i would have bought 4 different things that i didnt need at all! I dont know why more cashiers cant be like her!

I only gave this a 4 star because they are always under staffed, but the staffing who were there last night were awesome!! I can't remember the lady or the gentlemen's name, but Springfield mo has a transplant from Alaska and we're proud to have a good fella like him here!! They both were jovial, funny, didn't rush us though I got my friend there 10min before closing and went 20min over. They were patient with us even helped me get all the sacks to my truck in the rain!!!

I love Dollar General, just not this one. I needed a few things, and this location was on my way home, so I swung in. First, it's quite a puzzlement just finding the parking lot. Whoever is responsible for the layout of all these businesses and their driveways and parking lots must have been drinking at the time. It's a maze back there! Next, they were out of stock on two of the things I needed. And, when I got home, some of the snack items I bought were expired! One of them expired by 57 days! That's a lot. I probably won't shop at this one again. But I do love my Dollar General!

May wait at the store was not due to staff but a customer. Employee was very polite and engaging. You do not find that at chain stores anymore. Usually more of a mom and pops place kinda guy. Appreciative of the pleasant service.

Normally I love this store but the clerk was just so rude, I'll never be back. My debit card was stolen and I can only use my phone to pay. She tells me Google pay doesn't work but Samsung does. So I open it and she stands there laughing at me when it doesn't work instead of trying to help. I left my purchases and will take my business elsewhere.

I honestly like this Dollar General than others I have been to in the area. It is very stocked with a variety of items and decor. The cashier's and stickers were so kind and helpful. I will for sure be back! Thanks for the quality service 👍😊

Great place love the workers however I got home to realize a whole bag of stuff not here its at the store and there closed now. And why they didn't say hey heres the rest of yours stuff is beyond me. Lol. You can definitely tell that it's under new store management and that some of the workers don't like whoever somebody new is because they were complaining about that person. I don't know who she is but complaining about a new worker is uncalled for!! Their new let learn the ropes before you start judging and complaining about them! I get work get stressful and I don't mind someone venting to me but sheesh 😅! Other then that great prices great location. HOWEVER I do miss the old staff. Very confused how all the workers I had the pleasure of seeing all the time got fired outta nowhere! New Lady nice to me though.... Just give the newbies a break. Starting a new job can be overwhelming but they'll get the hang of it. Make. It a positive thing. It's all about the way you choose to think. I can be in a bad mood and then think nope not today and have an amazing rest of the day. Y'all can too try it. I'm serious it works. Just sayin

I've been calling and calling to see if they have something in stock before coming in and they are just letting it ring. I don't plan on wasting a trip if they don't have what I want to buy. And no it's not toilet paper, I'm just wanting to buy a restaurant gift card. Which is simple yes or no question. SO please answer your damn phone.

I love that I have this store close to me, but they need to hire more people per store, one maybe 2 people doing everything. Working very hard. But a person can only do so much. They are cashier sticker and much more. And sometimes it’s hard to get around do to things out in the way.

If you want the worst shopping experience of your life, visit this location and their employee Wendy. This employee is very unprofessional, has no manners, and has no business working with the public. She is worthless behind the register and cannot do her job properly let alone professionally. As a manager I would be embarrassed if I had an employee ever behave as this one has done with the public.

I had the job to strip and wax the store. We got the bathroom and break room cleaned. But didnt get entire store done very good. There was stuff we had to move. Plus there was too many workers on my crew, dont need 5 people to do a little store.

The store is always in disarray, in this case there were only 2 people in the store and they seemed too busy to deal with customers, instead they were trying to stock their inventory and catch up to all the store tasks that needed to be completed. Inventory and items they have available work for that quick last minute trip item so the general purpose of the store is meeting expectations however.. customer service would be better if they could have adequate staffing to support everyday stocking tasks so that people are free to support customer traffic.

It’s a bit sketchy, but usually a DG makes you wait for a very long time until a cashier appears from aisle 14, but never had that here. Staff has always been nice and conversational as well.

Girl cashier didn't speak. Looked at me like I had 3 heads when I gave her a coupon, and then didn't take it off my purchase. There are lots of Dollar Generals in Springfield I will go to another one from now on. She needs to be trained on who pays her wages.

This is a redo of a past review. Ive been in retail for 25 years now and this is the WORST customer service I've ever had had. I get the manager was check in vendors, and 1 of them pointed me out after 5 minutes of standing at the register. The manager came to the register and didnt ring me up. He said "get another person to ring me up". I had 4 items. If he had time to come tell me that he had to ring me up. The other employee was in the back of the store. He didnt use the intercom to page her. He walked slow to get her, and she didn't even ask me how I was doing or anything when she came up there. Vendors don't mind waiting 2 minutes to be checked in. They both heard me as I walked out saying "This is why I hate the dollar store"
