Store was not very organized items all over and needed put away. Could not hardly find what I was looking for it was not where it belonged. Spent about 20 minutes looking before finally giving up and going to a different store.

High priced, 3rd rate goods. If you don't have any other choice, this place will do. If you're looking for something a little cheaper than the big department stores, you might find it here. Would recommend other $1 store options before this.

This location is garbage. The staff is horrible and lazy and just wanna accuse people of stealing so they don’t have to put out the cigarettes and help customers. Absolute trash.

Basically felt a manager acused me of saying an item was outside on a sales rack when it wasnt! Very rude customer service. Just didnt want the item if it wasnt on sale. Didnt ask or insist that they give me the item on sale, just didnt want it if it wasnt on sale. Wont be back there. I have enough money I dont have to try and scam to get things on sale!

On ocassions when I need something random and I don't want to deal with Wal-Mart I go to Dollar General. They have everything! When I have time to kill I enjoy roaming the isles. Get a cold drink at the front door and just walk the throughout the entire store. I don't want to miss anything. Do you need erasers? They got them. Do pony stickers? They have those too. Random!

I shop here for literally EVERYTHING!! I love all the sales they always have and if you shop right you can find pennied out items that are only one cent per item!!!! I know one woman who bought two FULL to the brim carts of things and she spent like 6 bucks it was AMAZING!!

With the transfer of the Manager during the summer, this store has turned into a disaster. Product not put away and many items just not stocked anymore. Walking around product boxes or isles blocked by boxes is the normal thing right now. Even the milk section is completely empty. What's going on there? I travel to the new store on south Main which is further away but worth the time. Hope the problem at Oakland will be corrected.

This used to be my favorite place to shop. But now they are always closed when I arrive.. all the employees are very good people and management. . They don't even post anything on there door to let people know their reason why they are closed I am disappointed, they will be losing a customer, I no longer will go here since they can't even be open regular hours. That's the only reason I come here.. is so I can get my things I need and leave . But recently every single time I come here, they are closed or haven't opened yet .even tho I come during it's opening hours.

I would love to work there and clean it up. We were there and product was laying on the floor. This was the plush big bears for 30 dollars . Who wants to buy something like that when they are just laying on the floor. When the store first open we went there because it was alot cleaner than the other ones. Now it falls right into place with the others.

I tried to get to this Dollar General today and they closed at 6, not 9. If you are short staffed, put your hours subject to change; due to staffing on your webpage here, on Google. Or otherwise, you shouldn't be in business! I took the bus today; a long ride and was turned away! Plus it says "Opened til 9 pm" on here! SMH!

I had to go to 3 different locations just to give you my money. I went to your east Oakland location just to see a lady telling another customer, "we'll be open in 30 minutes!" I then went to the s. Main location just to meet the same customer who told me that this location is closed too!? Too often the Oakland location is closed on weekends. You know, when people tend to shop. I've never had to work so hard to give my money away.

Says they are open at 8am. It’s 9:40am and there is no one here and they are most definitely closed. Dollar general and Popeyes.. never fails. Please post the actual operating hours so that people don’t waste their time/fuel.

I absolutely love the staff here. They make me feel like this is a small town and our little DG is a hub in the community.
