Love having a Dollar General so near to my office, prices are cheap and fair, staff gave been friendly but can tell they are tough if having to deal with difficult customers. Store is never crowded and getting out of the parking lot can be a challenge since the store is located on Kansas Ave.

Came here for pupz n palz to get some supplies for some fun elf on the shelf ideas. Fairly messy story, but we found what we needed anyways and the staff was nice

The district manager named Luke clearly does not know how to do his job I was in this location shopping when I heard him talking to an employee on the floor about performance and how the store should be ran I don't know if was the manager but I was so uncomfortable that I confronted him and he refuse to give me his last name and refused to give me corporates number and told me to leave or he was going to call the cops 🤣 while he was talking to her he was billitling the employee he was rude and I hope something happens because I feel sorry for the people that have to continue to work for him he's a coward and I hope he gets what he deserves

Brand new Dollar General. Good prices on necessities, basics. Never busy from my experience. I like this chain because it's the only grocery store in the area that allows you to use PayPal. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because of the limited grocery department and fresh food selection, unlike other stores. I would give 4.5 stars if I could.

I enjoy shopping at this store. The lines are short, the employees are very efficient (at least the women working there are, there is this one man that always hands me my change short) they have a little of everything, make up, hygiene stuff, meds, clothes, frozen food, drinks, snacks, even some decor. Perfect place to grab last min gifts. The store is clean and the prices are decent.

Been shopping here for about a year with no problem, until this morning when some snooty little girl Told me I have to leave my back pack up front. Thing is, it was never a problem until today, but I think the night crew is more relaxed. I get that there's a lot of shoplifters in modesto, I really do.. Considering I myself Do Loss Prevention.. (Surprise) I deal with all kinds.. yet, at my department store we don't go around accusing nor telling potential customers to remove their backpack.. Not everyone is as they appear and if you were really good at AN LP attempt and professional you'd know that. Thanks to this little girl GD lost a customer. I am not trusting my backpack with anyone, especially if you're not going to watch it... ​

Today I experienced horrible customer service from Britney or however you spell her name apparently she’s the manager which I really wonder who gave her that role because with that attitude of hers my goodness she’s very rude and got all pissy because my toddler threw some balls and demanded me to pick them up like I’m an adult of course I’m going to pick up after my child but the way she told me she could have had more respect and asked me nicely I’m nice enough that i didn’t demand her to pick it up since that is her job kids are kids and they don’t know any better if she hates customer service that much she needs to get a new job I really like the store but they need to look into having friendly nice people work there!

This is by far the best one in this city for various reasons, the location, the employees are always friendly to me even with the rampant theft that goes on daily. And this is New Years Eve and they close at 10pm! sucks for them but good for me! Staying off the streets this night and being safe!

My brother and I got some stuff from the shelves and when we approached the female cashier my brother said GOOD Morning... There was NO RESPONSE. Once she was done ringing the items up it was then that she spoke and said Have a good day. There should be more communication with the cashier and customers. Other people should visit and see for yourself. I give this store Three STARS.
