Brought my truck in on 9/19/2022 for complete detailing. $250.00 package. Left it at 8am and was told it would be ready around 1pm. When I called at 3:30pm, I was told it would be ready shortly. Upon arrival I paid DAVE and then went out to look at truck. It was parked out back, and it was raining. Here is what I found: 1) my floor mats were in the bed of the truck getting completly soaked in the rain. My jumper cables, ( in a case), were found under the mats. Should have been returned to under my back seat where they were. 2) The bed of my truck had not even been hosed out. Still leaves and dirt were in the truck bed. 3) There was a "grease" substance at the bottom of both of my front doors. DAVE said it was anti rust liquid. But when I asked why it was not cleaned during the washing of truck, he told me "his guy" must have missed it. On both sides? It makes me wonder if my truck was ever washed or waxed. ( it is white and always looks clean). They were not small spots, and no way could they have been missed if a proper washing took place. 4) Because my seats (cloth), were still wet when I picked it up, it was hard to tell how clean they were. The next morning, when drier, there were still spots on the seats. 5) Area between the driver seat and console still had dirt in that area. 6) Top of console box had never been wiped clean. 7) Inside console box was still dirty, ( all contents were removed before I brought it in.). I was told the next day, that they NEVER clean inside a console, even though the description in their ad says they do consoles. (Full interior cleaning is advertised right on their office door!) I had to return two times to get everything corrected. (they closed early the second day, even though I was advised to return that day to pick up the floor mats.) On the third day, DAVE and his crew did reshampoo my seats, vacumn again, and cleaned the inside of console. This was a horrific experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone. There was never even a real "I am so sorry this happened". It was enough he fixed the issues, AFTER I pointed them out to him, and had to return two more times, a great inconvenience to me. Go elsewhere, unless you want this type of service.

It was amazing that a business like this can survive. When I arrived, I was told that they had just finished with my car. I inspected it, and found that they had not completely vacuumed it. It was a disappointment, but not a huge issue because at least it was cleaner than when it arrived. It appears that different people worked on it, as the dashboard was great! On closer inspection, I found some kind of glue on the right rear window, on the outside. Dave saw me look at it, and said "We forgot about that. We'll take care of it now.". That is when I saw the nice dent in the right front fender. I knew that I had no evidence, so calmly pointed it out, and asked for my keys. Dave instantly became very rude. He said "I always have trouble with "you Groupon people". He knew that I was not happy, but was not about to admit anything. We went into his office where he said that my vehicle had a $50 "upcharge" because it was a large SUV (it is a Honda CRV). It was clear that Dave was not going to give my my keys until he extorted the $50 from me. I paid it with my American Express, knowing that AMEX would give me my money back (American Express contacted Dave, and he did not dispute it). I contacted Groupon, and they refunded my $99 as well. Unfortunately, now I have to get my CRV fixed. The damage was minor, but Dave's rudeness was extreme. Dave's Auto is also listed in Yelp, but I only found out after having this very bad experience. I'm not the only one that has had problems. Don't let this happen to you.

Got my large SUV detailed this week and it came back looking fantastic!! It was super dirty having two kids and a giant dog… we are talking dirt, ground goldfish and lots of dog hair and drool. Dave and the crew picked it up and brought it back too. Oh and many scratches came out of the exterior too:) Would give 10 stars if I could :)

1 star for price $150 2 stars for availability and promptness 1 star, out of 2, for actual cleanliness. (Several obvious spots missed on the interior). -1 star for professionalism. Total 3 stars. I called Tuesday and had an appointment for 8 AM Thursday. I asked for them not to clean the trunk as I keep a lot of sports equipment in it and also not to clean the middle console (many items). The car is much cleaner than it was but there is an obvious easy to clean spot on the sunglasses holder and the MPH gauge facing wasnt touched. They didnt recline the seats to vaccum the crevices. Overall satisfied but bummed they didnt do a better job knowing they had less work to do. I was called at 11 letting me know my car was done. When I said I could be there in an hour their reply was unprofessional "well we are done for the day and waiting on you." If you have my vehicle its difficult to coordinate a ride immediately. When I arrived a new car was in the bay being cleaned.

This is the first time ever having my vehicle detailed. After asking around and searching on the internet, I decided to make an appointment with Dave's auto service in Saco,Me. He picked up AND delivered my vehicle after it was detailed. I live in Portland. My first thought was OMG!! My vehicle is 13 years old and the interior looked brand new ! The outside was just as fabulous ! 👌 I strongly recommend Dave's Auto Service. Excellent work and outstanding customer service. Went there was given a price picked it up was 100.00 more. Dave wasn't there no explanation. Wax all over the windshield. Crappy job for 400 bucks. He use to be the place to go. Quality stinks go somewhere else

We have a 2015 Ford 350 Platinum that we use for a lot of dirty jobs. After getting it back from Dave it’s like we just drove it off the showroom floor. The rugs, leather seats and everything inside is refreshed like new. The exterior is shiny and smooth after he put the clay bar to it. Even the exhaust pipes and all the chrome shines.

I have no idea about the quality of their services because I went twice during business hours and door was locked. I called Dave - twice- who was very nice, but said his guys went home because they weren’t busy. The first time I called he told me when to return ( 8 miles from my home) which I did - door locked - again- and there was no one there. In my opinion, this isn’t the best way to run a business. I went elsewhere and had it fixed immediately with wonderful customer service.

Dave's auto care is bad news. Be sure to check the Yelp reviews as well. I wish that I had. My car was in damaged, and still dirty. Very rude owner. Groupon will refund you money though. Be sure to use a credit card so that you can get a refund. Do not pay cash.

Dave was recommended by a very reliable mechanic in the area. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. I had read some unfavorable reviews on this site but I felt my referral source was more reliable. Honestly, the other reviews seem like they must be for another business. Dave has worked in this business for decades. His employees have been here, some over 25 years. He has no problem with staffing because people like to work there. That says a whole lot about the business itself and Dave as a manager. I found him respectful and honest, going above and beyond. The quality was excellent. He did exactly what he said he would do, when he said he would do it, and always with respect and professionalism. I can see why fleets bring their company vehicles here. I have worked with many, many businesses as an SBA advisor so I really pay attention to everything and ask a lot of questions. I would wholeheartedly recommend this business.

I was in Maine visiting family last week, decided to take the kids to Funtown, car was dirty from traveling with 2 toddlers, pulled into Daves, and he looked like he was really busy and said he was all booked up, but was able to squeeze me in for a quick wash, vac, windows and my car looks great. Highly recommended !! Thanks again Dave !!

I went here to see Dave and get tar off my car, when I originally spoke with him he had told me this is his profession and my car would look perfect when he’s done, I showed up and all the tar was all over my car including a few dents, I gave him a chance to rectify this, he had said he would do it personally, now I drop my car off a second time, dave calls me and tells me his legs hurt so “he’ll do the best he can do” I let him know take your time, I’ll be there around 530 to get it, he calls me tells me my car is done, I show up tar still all over it and MORE dents on my hood. He denies he did the dents though I know my car and I have 5 other people who saw it as it was dropped off and then picked up with dents. He gave me attitude stating “I’m too crazy over my car” well it’s new and I paid for this! He said his eye vision was not clear even with his glasses on and has a hard time seeing, mind you he owns this business. He screamed at me through the phone, was wicked unprofessional and wants me to go back a THIRD time which is unacceptable. I do not want to go back for my car to get more dents and have none of the tar removed. Worst place by far and if I could give it a -0 rating I would.

Dave's guys did a great job (Complete Detail Package) with my nearly 6 year old Tesla Model 3. Looked better than new, both outside and inside when they were done. He and his guys were both friendly and completely reliable. Really appreciated their work and will probably come back again in another year or two.

The detailing job was decent. My car looked good. However, don't leave anything loose in your car or it will disappear. I had an ornament handmade by a friend hanging on my rearview mirror. I've had it hanging in my last four vehicles. It had great sentimental value to me. It magically detached itself from my mirror and jumped out of my car without anyone seeing it! 😡
