We placed an order through the Casey's app for 2 large pizzas and received our confirmation email. Upon arrival, not only was our order not ready...the employee told us "it didn't even exist, they never got it". When asked how long it would take to prepare our order, we were told 45 minutes as they had other orders ahead of ours. We left and placed an order from Dominoes.

I have gone to the Beaver Ave store in Des Moines Iowa since it first opened and they have always had issues with staff there it seems. I was very disappointed that kitchen manager Jake was transferred and demoted I was told by new kitchen manager today because he needs to work a set schedule as he has a family. They want them to stay there if they cannot get anyone in or work all sorts of day/nights at different hours. In past they burned out the good staff by letting those who habitually called in or other issues slide just to have a warm body there. They also need to calibrate the oven just a tad higher in all stores as pizza crust has been rather on the wet doughy side coming out and toppings all slide off. On a busy night that oven loses heat with each pizza coming out so staff and manager need to be trained to compensate for that heat loss by calibrating the oven or sliding the pizza back half way through to get the right crust consistently. I will be watching for these changes in the future as I do order a great deal at the Beaver store but will be going more to Douglas Ave store in Des Moines Iowa due to the loss of Jake.

***CHECK THE PRICE ON CRAFT BEERS*** This Casey's is close to my home so I frequently grab beer from here. Almost always, they overcharge for whatever I get. This has been happening for months, despite me bringing it up to the workers and working MANAGER several times. If it is under a dollar, whatever, mistakes happen, but tonight was over a $2 difference. Ex. Tonight, I bought a 4 pack of Pseudo Sue. The price marked on the shelf was $10.36 for the 4 pack. It rang up as $12.79. The worker had to call the manager over and I notified him, again, that the prices are wrong. Again, under a buck, mistakes happen. But overcharging more than $2 on a 4 pack is pretty egregious. Again, this is on pretty much EVERY craft beer I have purchased for the past several months and they won't update their prices. It almost seems like they are trying to gouge their customers.

I had a delivery of 4 pizzas to be delivered at noon for a meeting. The pizzas arrived on time but the pizzas were cold and the taco pizza’s lettuce was warm and wilted and chips were chewy. Other pizzas appeared old and cold. Second time this has happened from this location, I will need to use a different pizza delivery for these meetings.

I want to give a shout out to the gentleman that usually works the car wash (he was working 7/25 at 7:45pm) as he’s the only reason I go to this car wash. I get 10x’s a better wash here than any of the expensive washes around town because he does such good prep work. He goes above and beyond and I adore him. Great worker - I’d support him getting a raise 😆

This used to be my go to location. Been coming here for probably a decade. Ever since new manager "Tony" took over about 6 months ago I have seen it do nothing but decline. The previous manager did a good job and had a staff that actually cared. Most the time that I am here the manager now lives in his office. Let's also not forget the 2,300 in damage the car wash did to my truck. Tony acted as if he couldn't care less when it happened and simply gave me a form to fill out and said that they have an excellent risk department. Didn't get an apology, no sorry, nothing... Not only is that a lie but their risk department denies it ever happened and paid me enough to replace my destroyed running boards and to just "go away." The exact words their legal team used were that I "misunderstood this as a negotiation, and I could take their offer or take them to small claims court." I cannot afford to replace the tires that were damaged in the process, so I just have to hope I don't have a blowout on the Interstate because of Casey's negligence. Location overall feels dirtier, the staff seem uninterested, and there is rarely food that hasn't been sitting out for an extended period of time. Sad how quickly a store can decline when you remove a good manager that operated it well since it opened.

Please ask the staff not to sit on the counters to eat all their food. Customers set their food right where their butts were. Gross. They could also pause their dumb conversation for 3 seconds to talk to the customers.

Called to ask for some (spare) cheese for like a slice of pizza and id pay for the pizza but got hung up on and laughed. Sucks they're close to our house. This 1 person said no when everyone there has been nice and helpful to a fault but making me feel dumb asking that just really sucked.

Huge shoutout to Omar at Casey’s! Every time I order, the pizza is absolutely perfect!! It is always hot, fresh, and made with care. You can really tell he takes pride in his work. Best pizza around, hands down. Thanks for consistently making my day better with great food and great service!

My opinion they were very unorganized, although, they did go over the top with service I ordered a pizza @ 400am and didn't show up until 630 maybe later yo.puck up although on my behalf I tried to cancel but did not get through to the store Pizza maker. Although they did return my call. Overall customer service was AMAZING!!! PIZZA AMAZING!!! STORE was really a normal energy feeling store you know just how a typical morning can get crazy sometimes well that must have been what was going on but they pulled together as a team and made it work. Good for them.

The prices are deceiving!!! The sign on the door says that you get a medium fountain drink for 49 cents with purchase of a sandwich. The sign doesn’t mention rewards. I tried to buy a sandwich and medium fountain drink (see photo) and the register charged me $2.09 for the fountain drink. The cashier said I have to have rewards to get that price.

11/16/25 arrived at 11:10am. The two ladies didn’t even address me until 11:17 smh. That’s when they started the wings and the order was supposed to be ready at that time. It shouldn’t be that hard to simply greet someone and let them know the timeframe of their order or if it’s running behind.

As a current New Yorker, I’m entirely too pretentious when it comes to pizza. And as a born-and-raised Midwesterner, I have a unique appreciation for thin slices the size of my face and short, thiccc slices loaded with toppings. My girlfriend, a native Iowan, has raved about Casey’s Pizza since we first started dating. I was skeptical for more than 2 years until this Thanksgiving when I flew back to Des Moines with her for the first time. I’m happy to say the wait was worth it. The breakfast pizza was filling and satisfying, but not at all too-heavy, given the toppings. I had both the bacon and sausage slices and was pleasantly impressed, while pairing it with a cuppa coffee. They were unique and flavorful and was a tasty, savory way to start the day. These two slices earned a 5-star rating. The pepperoni, taco, and cheese slices were more in line with what you’d expect from any local, run of the mill pizza joint. Heavy, cheesy, but enjoyable, nonetheless. The only thing that detracted from these slices was the fact that almost all the toppings on the taco pizza immediately fell off, and the other two were a bit too greasy for my taste. Still, for a convenience store, this is the best slice of pizza you’re probably gonna get in a pinch. I’m glad my girlfriend was right.

Literally only come for your gas!! They quite seriously never have pizza but always have 3-5 employees yapping in the kitchen! I’m livid, as this is the closest to my house. If I want pizza I have to order an entire pizza and freaking pick it up… can’t just grab a slice… like just make your day easier and go to one away from this area!! Crap crap crap!! Updated: 2-13-26 This is insane…. Thought I got lucky cuz there was pizza in the warmer grabbed it thinking YAY! Then looked at the time…. Enjoy by 9:37 AM, it’s currently 10:11 AM. This place just won’t get better. I give up trying here. Seems like I’m going home hungry, again. Come here for GAS, but not food. And if you get food, please check times cuz this is not ok

So this is the ultimate conflicted review. The staff (especially Brandon and evening cashier ladies) are literally the best. Great people who actually care. Kitchen is very good and the weekday night guy (i believe, Luis) makes incredible food. BUT have to give 3 stars because manager is really low on awareness and is not pleasant to deal with. I preface this by saying I come here multiple times a day and everybody and everything else is normally very good. The manager (older genetleman) seems to be irritated by customers being in his store at times. At one point he was on the other side of the counter helping guests, grabbed a pack of cigarettes and set them on the counter walked all the way around the counter to cut me in line to pay for his cigarettes. My background is similar to what he does, and I never would inconvenience a guest for my own needs. As stated in other reviews, he mostly stays in the office which leads me to believe he is good at the numbers side of things but this is a guest facing job to. If it were me, I would prioritize the guest experience and make sure each person who walks through those doors feels special, and worry about office things when they need to be addressed only. The previous lady who i believe now manages ingersol location now was much more guest facing and showed empathy frequently. Change is inevitable, but not all change is good. He may be good at numbers but needs a crash course on guest interaction. I am sick of companies worried more about profitability than guest optics, and the guest experience overall. If you fix the guest optics/experience, the profitability will come with it (3.5 Google rating says it all.) If you dont believe me, bring me in, I will show you myself!!! There are a lot of convenience stores to choose from. Please do not let this become the reason guests spend their hard earned money somewhere else.
