I went to 3 places in Salem to get estimates on a new stereo system for my Jeep Wrangler. Not only were they the most reasonable, but they weren’t pushy, and never tried to tell me that the most expensive system was the only one that would work in my car (like one other did). Jesus at Car Toys was not only knowledgeable, patient, and extremely helpful, but he went above and beyond by calling around and making arrangements to get a part from another store. His whole team at Car Toys were friendly, engaging, and professional! They will forever have my business!

Been struggling with a dash cam since July, and have gone in multiple times to be told nothing could be done. Under the new management I was able to get it replaced quickly. Will continue to be a customer as long as new management prioritizes customer satisfaction and quality customer service.

Great people, took a little while to get everything buttoned up with the subwoofer install, but they listened to every request and did an amazing job, definitely coming back to get the rest of my system installed. Julian the store manager was phenomenal and The technician Taylor did a nice and neat job all around.

Let me preface this by saying the inside of my car was disgusting. Very gross. Horrible. I paid for an $80 Groupon and on top of that cartoys charged me $390. A total of $470 just for an interior detail. I dropped off my car on Saturday at noon and told it would be done by Sunday. They called me at 9am on Monday informing me it was done. I was at work and came after at 5 to pick the car up. The manager came out with me to inspect the car. Very nice manager. Within seconds I found clumps of standing dirt. There is very clearly spots they missed while applying the protectant to the doors. The manager was very kind and offered to have me pull the car around and vacuum the rest out. I just worked 10 hours and I’m not going to waste more time waiting for cartoys to finish the job I gave them almost $500 and two days to complete. I’m not going to drive back and waste more time and gas for you to finish the job. It’s completely unacceptable to not offer a partial refund after this embarrassment. Managers can’t spend 45 seconds to look the car over on a $470 detail job? A lack of competence to say the least. Extremely disappointed in cartoys as a whole. Won’t be back. 2 stars is strictly due to the professionalism and kindness of the manager. Go literally anywhere else to get your car detailed.

The backup camera/radio I had installed 2 years prior just stopped working apparently. It was causing a draw from my battery which meant I had to jump my truck to go anywhere. I called Car Toys to tell them this and they said they would take a look. I dropped my truck off and they said they’d call me back. I never got the call back so I called them and they told me someone was supposed to give me a call. They then told me that the radio just quit so I had to get a new one and that they were sorry no one gave me a call because they were about to close. I asked if I came over asap could they at least get rid of the draw and I could see if getting a replacement radio would even work. Over the phone the guy said they should be able to do another install because it doesn’t take long. They agreed so I made my way there before the close. When I got there the guy was just trying to give me my keys and get rid of me. I told him about the agreement to get another installed and he said he’d have to check and see if anyone could do it in such a short time before close. Then he brings me up to the counter before talking to anyone and says “ok, it’ll be $430.” I said “ well, I’m not paying for that unless I know it can get done today” and he replies “well, I’m going to do it so….” So I got a bad radio that didn’t last 2 years, No call back, told they could installed another one then when I showed up I’m told they are about to close by the same guy that says he’ll do the install 5 minutes later. So I pay for the new radio and it takes him about 15 minutes to install. Then there’s the big sign on the front desk that says they aren’t honoring coupons and gift certificates any longer…because of new ownership. Suspect dealings. I left feeling taken advantage of and like the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing at this shop.

Julian was the associate that sold me the ground wire I needed and was extremely friendly and helpful! I asked if he knew much about why my android auto in my car wasn't working and took the time to go and get to the root of the problem and had it fixed in less than 5 minutes! Would give 10 stars if I could!!

My name is Liliana Cox and I purchased a radio system from your company back in June 2023. On Thursday October 3rd, 2024 the whole system just stopped working and was restarting over and over again. I came to your Salem, OR store. As it is the closest store to where I live. I live 4 hours from the store, and I had an appointment set up at 10am on 10/05. I dropped my car off on the 5th at 10 am. After waiting 2 and a half hours and never receiving a phone call from the shop, I called to see what the updates were. When I asked them why they didn’t call me to tell me my car was done, they said they called me twice and it went straight to voicemail, but they didn’t bother to leave me a voicemail. When I called for an update, I was told that it was just a “bad radio” and that there would have to be an auto claim filed before my radio could be fixed. They said it has to go through corporate and they aren’t opened on the weekends. Once I got back to the store I asked them why they couldn’t just fix it and then file a claim. I explained to them how inconvenient it is, they were super adamant about not fixing it until finally; Julian a manager, made some calls and was able to get it fixed for me. I was happy and content because after waiting the two hours and not having any clue what was going on, and then having to call and get the response of : “well it’s just a bad radio”. It was nice to know that there was someone there that understood where I was coming from. They said it would take 45 minutes to install and then I would be good to go. An hour and a half later and it finally gets fixed! I think I’m in the clear and finally can go home. I start it up and everything seems good to go, so I leave. Once I start to take a closer look, I noticed that the dashboard of my car looks like someone has taken a screwdriver and tried to pry off the main compartment of the radio. And part of my dashboard was exposed and ruined. *(I have photos if you wanna see them)* they also were not careful with any of my belongings that were in my car. I had a pair of prescription sunglasses and they were in between the seat and the door and easily could have been crushed!! I had a soda from McDonald’s that was 3/4 full that they had put on the floorboard and clearly it had spilt and it was sticky everywhere and did not bother to clean it up. Not even a few miles down the road I realize that ONLY one speaker is working and there is a terrible static noise coming from the right passenger side speaker. Also, when I called someone through my Apple CarPlay, they couldn’t hear me, only I could hear them. So I call Car Toys back and let them know I’m coming back and that it needs to be fixed. I get back to the store and they tell me that they will look at it. After another hour of them looking at it, they came to the conclusion that all of the wiring had good connection and that the two speakers on the passenger side were blown. I then proceeded to tell them that the speakers worked before hand and that they weren’t blown before. They insisted that everything was fine and that they were blown and that there was nothing that they could do. I asked how much speakers would be and they gave me a quote. I feel like I should’ve been given new speakers because of all the time and hassle and everything I went through. So I ended up with my radio fixed at the expense of my two speakers being broken and no one taking responsibility for what had happened. I need to be compensated for my time and money. My appointment was at 10 am and we didn’t finally leave from there until just after 5 pm. I wasted my entire day there to have nothing but problems to keep happening. I paid for a 4 year warranty and it seems like no one cared about that expect for Julian.

I took my SUV to get an exterior detail. They did a level-one paint correction to help bring out the shine and remove imperfections. The exterior is almost flawless now. I would definitely take my vehicle back to them! Thanks, Car Toys, for making my vehicle shine so bright!

I gave them a 2 for the car stereo. It's fine. But dont have them put lighting on your vehicle. They put a light bar on my jeep and used too small of a wire to handle the load of the light bar. It melted part of the wiring assembly and parts. I took it somewhere else and paid 200.00 to rewire the light bar with the proper wire. I'll go to this other place for now on for my car needs. All this happened awhile back so im just now finding out because I kept having problems with it

New owners, new management, and you never really know what you’ll get when this happens. This place has done nothing but improve since changing owners! My tech Taylor did a great job being as expedient as possible, but ensuring that the job got done right. I wasn’t planning on coming back to this place, but the change of ownership/management has changed my mind. Robert was patient and ensured I got exactly what I needed. Nothing more, nothing less. I have a broken arm so I won’t be able to go in to great detail. They did a great job and was faster than estimated. There was one thing they were wrong about though. They said that the kit I bought in would not be able to use my steering wheel buttons and I got a hold of the seller and they sent me easy to follow instructions and they work great

Needed an alarm installed after my car had been broken into and almost stolen. They were open on Sunday and took care of me for a good price. This Car Toys is working its way back to being a good shop. Older reviews are from old management. The current manage ment and employees are consistent and do good work. My install calls for an analog "wire to wire" installation which is a lot of work. They got it done quickly for the amount of work it usually takes. The alarm was the same price installed as a much cheaper system would have been locally, and they used a MUCH better quality set of parts. My only issue is that their labor rates seem to be really high for the industry. Then again, you get what you pay for.
