The car wash is great..okay, it does a decent job. The prices have gone up recently and the cheapest automatic option is almost $12. The reason for me to take time to write this review and give a one star is because one of the guys who is at the entrance of the car wash needs to learn some manners and treat customers with some respect. We have been driving a Tesla for the last year and my husband usually cleans the car himself unless busy and comes in to this car wash because it’s on the way. As we are about to enter the car wash, he was struggling a bit to put it on “neutral” mode since we rarely ever have to put it in that mode. The dude( this was the guy working there around 6pm on 8/1/24) comes closer to help my husband. He starts losing his patience and starts raising his voice. That guy needs a lesson in customer service. If you want to help, stay calm and yeah definitely don’t shout at a paying customer. I will make sure we don’t come back to this location.

Newer location but, even as the automated wash seems to be actively managed, little to no attention paid to the self-service bays. I usually come late at night but came through for an emergency rinse this afternoon to find people waiting behind bucket-washers. Can't recommend until and unless they get it together

This is a review of the self-service car wash bays, not the automated tunnel! I think the self-serve bays are well-maintained and the policies are fair and understanding for car enthusiasts who may want to bucket wash (only when not busy, no cars waiting). I prefer to come early mornings or late night to avoid any crowds. The bays are open 24 hours I believe. The pressure washer water is warm which is a huge aspect to getting a good wash. The two things I would like to see are: - Stronger vacuum suction - Handheld blow dryers I've seen at some places would be awesome

I visited your facility and washed my car by hand, as I’ve done regularly. After finishing, I asked to use the restroom to wash my hands, but I was told customers are not allowed to use it. I found this very disappointing, especially after using your services and getting my hands dirty. I understand that some businesses have restroom policies, but as a paying customer, being denied even basic hand-washing access feels unreasonable and unfriendly. I hope you’ll consider making accommodations for customers in the future, even if it’s just providing a sink or hand-washing station outside.

Hector, the technician at this location, was super helpful and friendly. We took an old car to have it washed and a plastic part came off. Hector made sure we got it back and even turned off the car wash to retrieve it. Great staff!

I had a white Ford van that had been sitting for the last 9 months, that it was growing moss in a few places. Didn't have the time and didn't want to hand wash it, so ran it down to brown bear spent $18, and was just hoping for the best. When I pulled in, I was greeted by a very friendly employee who walked me through my options. Before he waved me through, I asked it he thought the wash would get all the grim off. I was blown away when he told me "if not just run it though again". What? That was so cool. That's just unheard of today. Thank you Brown Bear. I was so impressed that the next day I took both my own trucks there.

Do not recommend the drive through car wash, went through yesterday and it scratched my car up BADLY. I know some hair scratches are to be excused and expected with those, but the top of my car came out with several areas that look like legit sand paper was rubbed on the paint.. Staff is friendly and the self wash vacuums/wash area is solid so I gave 2 stars, but yeah do not go through the drive through wash thing…. :,)

The hoses in the self-service bays frequently leak at the top connectors, particularly during the prewash cycle. This issue directs cleaning chemicals onto hands and shoes.

I love the monthly pass concept. I drive a lot and since there are so many locations I can arrive with a clean car. Not all locations are the up to the same standards. This location is one of the best

I used to goto this place very often before I came to a serious issue last time. I opted for a car wash by making payment. The staff allowed one more car behind my car in the automated wash area. Both cars were in neutral, we almost collided in the trolly which runs by company. I just realized it and put my car in gear and went ahead without doing complete car wash. When I want out I talked to their staff named “Anil” regarding the same. I asked him why you are allowing 2 cars at once we were about to collide. But that arrogant guy without accepting fault, told me rudely saying it’s all automated, I can’t do anything. Fact its the staff who allows multiple cars inside but when the staff do not have any knowledge and responsibility and misbehave customer for their own fault what can a customer do … I will advise not to go this place and save your car.

This place is small and many people parked without caring that they’re blocking the traffic. I think maybe the staff can help organize but they didn’t. I saw the reply from the merchant. I didn’t mean the traffic on the street but the traffic inside this site. It’s really hard for customers to drive through as half of the road is occupied by parked cars(see the attached pic). I’m not sure this relates to Sound Transit work

The self service is great. They even put out towels to dry your car or clean the inside. The drive through car wash leaves a lot of room for improvement. For the price you pay you think you'd get a clean car but every time I go through I feel like I need to go through again. Typically it's the rear of the car that doesn't get clean. Anyhow, go with the self service. It's better with a little more effort.

The station lacks adequate safety protocols, creating a high risk of accidents and collisions due to insufficient spacing between vehicles. Site management appears disorganized and lacks a customer-focused approach. The area manager shows no willingness to assist or listen to customer concerns—even in cases involving significant financial loss, such as $7,000. Staff members and site manager have been observed raising their voices at customers, even in situations where the customer's vehicle has sustained damage. Regrettably, the quality of service is subpar—washing your car at home with water would likely yield better results than what the station provides.

Used the self serve wash and it was straightforward and high pressure. I came at a not so busy time which was nice. Usually there are so many people I've been too nervous to go, hence the 4 stars. It's usually so packed I can't imagine going as a first timer or if I want to take my time. Happy there were towels at a little station to use to dry.

I've been a Brown Bear customer for over 20 years. I've gone there mostly because they have a pretty solid monopoly in the Puget Sound but that is changing. Also, they have been partners of Puget Soundkeeper Alliance on environmental efforts and that has been another reason I've supported them. I've been disappointed by this location. I forget to turn off the manual wash and it charged me three times the original cost until I found out it was still running. I asked the employee to refund the overcharge which would have been the right thing to do. He would not and suggested I write a review. So here we are. While I was there, the man next to us degreased his engine which is forbidden by the car wash. We only noticed by the time he was leaving, otherwise we'd have told him it was against policy or told the the staff. This goes against being a sustainable business and one of the worst things you can put into our sewer systems. Get on that, Brown Bear! The vacuums need to be updated to the style that Quick Quack or Blue Cow car washes have (and many others outside Puget Sound) that run off a massive vacuum and use booms rather than individual units. Minimally just add the narrow nozzle that's more effective than the wide nozzles. The staff are all pleasant and professional but I wish they'd just let me buy my wash via the kiosk rather than stand next to it to try to upsell me. This is common among nearly all commercial washes so it's not unique to Brown Bear. I'll keep going back to this location for convenience, but I might try another if one opens in the area that addresses these concerns.

Been going here for years, with three vehicles. I always enjoy the friendly service with smiles and waves. On New Year’s Day I drove through and lost the cap of driver’s door handle key cap. Range Rovers are known to do this; they even tapped it down prior to wash. I didn’t notice it was gone until next day. Today I stopped by, and Jennifer was amazing going through videos verifying it came off, then Chris said, “ oh it’s inside on the shelf” I followed him in, and in fact it was waiting on the shelf. Even had painters tape with date! This really made my day. It’s the little things in life that end up being big things. I was hoping they had it, but expecting it to not be there. This is best case scenario! To celebrate, I drove through again! Happy to have a clean ride. Wanted to take the time to give a shout out to the exceptional customer service. Thanks again to Jennifer and Chris! You guys made my day. Another thankful customer of Redmond Way Brown Bear Car Wash.
