Filled up with mid grade, 89 octane, 30 gallons with my F150. Drove home, 500+ miles, averaged 19.1 mpg. I track all my mileage and mpg, I always get 22mpg with BP mid grade. I always get 19mpg with 87 octane. I know someone who will never buy gas from this place again....

This place is the definition of a safety risk. No treatment for ice and the attendant's response to being informed of a fall as a result was "what do you want me to do?". Suggestion - get off the chair in the corner and do basic maintenance activities.

I pulled in last night with a badly leaking rear tire, and I wasn't even out of the car before Patrick (the mechanic on duty) was walking to my car, smiling and telling me he already knew why I was here as he could hear the air coming out of the tire. After being pushed out the door at another tire store down the road, I sheepishly asked him if he could work in a flat repair, and he replied that he would see what he could do - already jacking the car up to remove the tire. Needless to say, I was on the road in about 30 minutes at a very reasonable price. Both Patrick and the attendant on duty in the store were helpful, friendly and enjoyable. It's hard to find hometown service like this. It was a great experience! I was surprised

My wife’s friend, a single mother, power steering broke. She went to a shop in Ankeny. They diagnosed the problem for $154. They quoted $1650 to fix it parts and labor. We called Tim’s mechanic. He said bring it in and quoted about $650 to do the repairs, plus parts cost. Tim’s mechanic found that the only problem was a bad high pressure hose and the repair ended costing about $425 parts and labor. Tim’s BP is an honest broker. The only shop I will ever use and recommend. That mother needs every penny these days. We are very grateful.

A great station with reasonable fuel prices that often beat other stations nearby when paired with the BP + Amazon Prime fuel discount and gasbuddy. They also have a seemingly bustling auto shop. While the prices are great, the auto shop’s vehicles seem to take over on a regular basis, including blocking/heavily restricting access to the majority of pumps available. With ongoing road construction on Ankeny Blvd blocking the east (street) entrance to the station, customers entering from 1st St are left with little to no room to access pumps. This would be a 5-star review if their staff/operators would find a better parking solution for the service shop’s customer vehicles.
