I just wanted to leave a quick and very positive review for Ivan and the team over at blue star. There was a miscommunication in regards to detailing my car, and without going into it, that person is no longer employed there. Ivan and his team immediately realized what had happened and redid the job for me at no cost (which is exactly what should have transpired and it did!). Not only did they make it right, but they do excellent work and I really appreciate all the communication along with zero resistance in completing this job correctly for me. Prior to going to them for auto detailing, I have only had super positive and excellent service of them regarding all of my auto repair needs as well as state testing requirements. Thanks again to everyone on the blue star team.

There is only ONE person that gave a 1 star for this place and I am almost 110% sure it came from a neighboring competitor shop because Blue Star Brothers is blowing them out of the water around there. There really is no competition, they are earnestly the best. Do not debate choosing this place as your regular auto shop. I can't express enough how HONEST and COMPASSIONATE the owners of this establishment (and their other locations) are! They do not upsell you, they only look for what your car needs. I swear it feels like bringing my car into a family member's well built/maintained shop. They treat all of their customers with respect and care. They want to know your situation so that they can cater to your needs. Ivan Sr. and his wife are the most lovable humans, it's such a relief to find such a trustworthy business for my auto needs. I can not bring myself to go anywhere else because they have earned my trust to the max. Love this place. Do not waste your time with any other autoshop business around here (and they're well worth traveling to even if you're far). I've tried other places around here and it's very noticeable that the service here is FAR SUPERIOR to any other. You'll know what I mean when you try them out for yourselves. My car is going on 10 years old, for the first two years I took really good care of it, but as a dog owning mechanic that lived in the city of Chicago it became increasingly difficult to keep the interior and exterior clean. My car had been hit multiple times when parked, someone had thrown pieces of brick at it, the interior - spot cleaned stains and cleaned countless times. After a while I just didn’t see the point of trying anymore. I brought it here to have the interior done and they absolutely blew it out of the park. The interior was so dirty and there was so much dog hair that it took them two days to get it cleaned up to the or standard. They went above and beyond for me and even cleaned the outside and the engine compartment. These guys are the real deal and really care about doing quality work. You will not regret spending your money here!

I needed my engine cleaned of the famous local rat poop. I tried spraying, traps, sonic devices and sticky pads. But they easily ignored all of my efforts, The team at Blue Star deep cleaned my engine areas and left it smelling like a new engine AND THE COST WAS QUITE REASONABLE.

Very aggravated, Clearly a bait and switch operation. I went online set up an appointment for 12P showed up 10 minutes early. I was immediately told that their website isn't working properly and that my appointment wasn't locked. Not such a big deal, as the guy working there said he would see if he could take me in anyway. The first thing they did was try to sell me a window seal telling me that the seal used is going to make the car rust. Ridiculous. I told him I didn't come in there for that just give me the bronze package. The package I bought was the bronze package online. They then told me that's only an interior with a light exterior wash and that it wouldn't be ready till tomorrow. INSANE and I guess they don't understand what detail means. On top of all that they were looking to charge me $75 more than what I the website stated. Then the guy had the nerve to tell me "did you read the website carefully " Once again, RIDICULOUS. Like I said a bait and switch sham operation. I used some choice words and lit out of there. Very bad experience can't speak about the wash as I never took it. Wasted a lot of time going to Greenpoint and got nothing accomplished... very irritating for me. No apology, they basically just turned their back and walked away. What a great Great business model. I love how people like this do not value other people's time. Just ridiculous stay the hell away.

Overall, what great experience! From the moment I called them to the in person consultation and the completion of the job, they were not only super professional but very kind-hearted people. I brought in my 2010 White Prius for a front bumper, both side fenders, and headlight assembly replaced. They did the entire job in 3.5 days! They also cleaned my car inside out, I feel like i have a new car! If you need some work on your car, do consider this place! They are just over aWeMaZiNG!

I had the pleasure of visiting Blue Star twice this week. First to get my brakes fixed for which I was given a fair price and excellent customer service. And second, later in the week my car was hit for the first time ever and I needed a pretty significant repair. I'd never been in an accident and didn't know the first thing about what to do, if I should file a claim, and with whose insurance and or file a police report etc. Casey, Jared, Joseph, and Ivan were all fantastic. They were able to advise me, walk me through the insurance process, and handle quite a bit of the claim filing for me and at a very rapid pace. They were super communicative, very easy to get on the phone, patient, informative, understanding, and all around awesome. They made an extremely stressful situation, not that stressful. Now that the insurance piece is worked out, I know they're taking great car of my car! They already did an awesome job with my brakes!

Well, here is a good karma story that shows the character of Ivan, the owner of Blue Star Brothers. A truck sideswiped me, badly damaging my car, so that my entire bumper was dragging on the pavement. I tied it up with rope, then looked up the nearest collision shop to see if they could secure my bumper better for the 125 mile drive home. Ivan took a look immediately, even though it was near closing time. He drilled three screws into the car to secure the bumper for the long drive home. He was kind, courteous and quick, and did not even charge me for this goodwill effort. If you’re looking for an honest shop with character, Blue Star Brothers is it. Thank you Ivan and team!

Wanted to love it but unfortunately they didn’t do a good job with interior cleaning of my car. It says in the description that they are deep cleaning and detailing interior of your car however the back seat still have stains and sticky spots on it. Some parts wasn’t even touched. For a price of almost $300 I was expecting a better service. *Update: They did offer me a complimentary service to make the car look better, I agreed and this time they really took the time to clean it through. I appreciate the effort to keep their costumes to come back to them in the future.

I have owned cars for over 40 years and I have never had a better experience at a mechanic than I did at Blue Star Brothers.. They got the work done fast, the quality was exceptional, and the pricing was genuinely fair. And they were just really nice people to deal with. That matters more than you would think when you are handing someone your car and hoping for the best. They did a bunch of work for me (brakes and other stuff) but the thing that blew me away was this ugly splash of construction adhesive I picked up on the street near a municipal construction zone. It had been stuck on there and I was convinced it was permanent. I figured I would just have to live with it. They removed it completely. You would never know it was ever there. The best part is they were actually honest. No upsell or scare tactics. No “while we’re in there” routine. Just what needed to be done, done well, and at a fair price. Next time I need anything at all on my car, I am going back to Blue Star Brothers. I recommend them without hesitation.

The blue star team really are the best auto shop I’ve ever worked with. I’ve worked with Ivan, Ivan Jr , and Jared and from top to bottom they’ve taken good care of Me. From oil changes to hood detailing to helping me find and buy new tires - and most recently fixing some pretty major car door collision damage - they go above and beyond. The car looks brand new ! I feel well taken care of by the team. They’re trustworthy, communicative, care about client input and concerns and it’s clear they take lot of pride in their work.
