Small store with limited variety of items and brands, BUT what they do have is unique and good like fresh salsa and cut fruit. Very helpful associates.

Boxes always in all aisles. Can’t even get to the products because of the boxes. People working Tnere are not professional. I won’t go back. Go to grade a where professional and clean store

I just moved to Stamford last year, and Acme is the closest grocery store to my new house. So naturally, I decided to do most of my shopping at this location. For the most part it is a sufficient grocery store, they have fresh produce, they have one of the best grocery store floral sections I’ve ever seen, and they provide all of the possible dry goods that one might need… However, my one critique, is that they sometimes advertise sales that are not redeemable at the register (this could also just as likely be due to user error at self checkout on my part lol) outside of that issue, it’s a good experience and the staff is friendly enough… but if another chain opened up nearby, I’d probably give it a shot to see which one had cheaper pricing Those feelings changed today, bc today I met (actually just observed) an employee named Kim. Kim is basically a hard working ball of joy that bounces around the floor of the store doing tasks while spreading endless joy to the staff and customers. She offers to help the team with anything they need on her way out the door, and you could tell she is one of those people that would stay off the clock to help if she was needed. And she complimented sweaters of her coworkers while she says goodbye. Kim is the embodiment of Christmas spirit, so I’m going to keep shopping at acme as long as she is working there doing her thing lol (Told you I would do a review about what I saw) - TJ

I usually love acme, but today I went to buy some cupcakes for my daughter and she’s about to take a bite when she sees it’s gotten rotten. It was fuzzy and didn’t smell good. I check the sell by date and it was past due. You could get sick Is you eat this so please be careful! Not buying anymore cupcakes after this!

Grossly overpriced and product lacking, "supermarket" that tries to present itself as a quaint marketplace...appealing to people who don't care about cost. I gladly drive 16 minutes to Stop n Shop unless I'm stuck for something simple that I need quickly (had to explore the store and poorly labeled aisles just to find simple baking soda).

Small, cramped aisles made worse by the fact they stock the shelves during the day rather than overnight. Shopping on a Saturday the frozen aisle full of pallets of stocked food and workers and shoppers. Frustrating. Otherwise than that no major complaints.

Appears crowded around the flowers sections, due to small walking space , but overall looks good

Too expensive. It doesn't even stock common, everyday items like cheddar cheese, normal sized boxes of tea bags, etc. Coke was cheaper at Walgreen's than here. the deli is ridiculous, they have loud arguments in front of the customers and they don't even know where their products are.

I’ve always enjoyed shopping at Acme because it's a convenient spot for quick trips to grab essentials. However, during my visit today, my partner and I had an unpleasant experience. We went to exchange our water bottles for two new ones and knew the bin for empties was outside. However, we were carrying two heavy 40lb water bottles, along with 30lbs of cat litter and detergent. One of the employees, an older woman with glasses and brownish hair, was not at all helpful and gave us trouble about returning the empties while we were clearly struggling to carry these heavy items. There were several employees standing around inside the store, yet no one offered to lend a hand. It would have been nice if someone had been more considerate and assisted us, as it’s common in retail for employees to be a bit more courteous when customers are clearly loaded down with heavy items.

Needs improvement (less worse than 90-days ago). I’d fire half the employees because they obviously are unhappy and don’t care about their work. The other half are helpful and very nice. The isles are way too thin. I bumped into a woman and she gave me a nasty stare. The checkout needs a lot of improvement. The woman was closing her check out to move to the next one over. They do not take the customer needs or desires in account. The good news is that it’s now on by Kroger and once Kroeger gets to it, they’ll fix it. It’s very exclusive neighborhood. Can’t stay for much longer. Their only competition is Trader Joe’s, which is 1000 times better.

I go to this store almost daily. It has its issues, but I had grown to like it - my husband doesn’t understand why since really dislikes it. Tonight I had a horrible experience there involving another customer. The staff did nothing to help the situation. So glad Whole Foods is opening up tomorrow. Good bye Acme - you lost a great customer.

Narrow aisles. Not a big selection of pickles or knishes. I would like to buy turkey on the bone cooked at the deli.

To the gentleman who posted about the valentines day flowers, we were having quality issues with one particular bouquet. Wasn't just my store it was all the stores. I am truly sorry that you were unsatisfied. I would be as well. Next time please ask for me or floral and I'd be more than happy to accommodate you and make it right. Things happen sometimes out of our control. Please don't post something negative when the issue was never brought to my attention to fix it for you. 1 bad review reaches 2x many people than 1 good review. On any given day customers on numerous occasions say their flowers last up to 2 weeks. Next time you're in, ask for me and I'll give you a refund for the $34.99 bouquet or I'll make something nice up for you to surprise your wife. 😃

In a world of crazy, suspicious and people out to no good, I recommend your loss prevention manager or whomever she was in the construction orange fleece (no name tag or lanyard) be more discrete and not overtly creepy while moonlighting as loss prevention whom is seen as a psycho following me. This includes adjusting the big-eyed creepy stares while shopping and checking out. Then outing herself by random digging through the gum/candy at the check out to look busy. That’s text book fake shopping everyone knows about. Then asking if I needed help to ensure I know the store is watching me. You could say she ‘did her job,’ and check the box that she followed me but my $9 purchases that couldn’t fit into my pockets even if I wanted to and me nearly placing a call to the police may not have been worth it. I saw her from the start, not as an employee. It’s fair to assume that people will steal but it’s also fair for me to assume there’s a crazy person in the store and I will defend myself at all cost. It’s 2025, people are crazy, scary, and sinister, too many bad things are happening in stores and parking lots and that needs to be taken into account. If the wrong person was followed the outcome could have been bad. I recommend loss prevention training. I’d rather shop where I’m not followed by a Lorax. But if you must follow me or others (I know it’s sometimes needed), I don’t want to know you are or hell dress like an actual employee. Be more normal, how about a shopper with a basket with stuff in it or an employee with store logos on clothing, not like a creepy person from a Dateline special. People like to role play, lean into one of the ideas or even better, a year-round Halloween costume of an Acme employee. There’s 365 days to practice. Practice make perfect. The only thing she stopped is me wanting to return. This was too weird and just bizarre.

Nice centrally located well stocked store. The staff is always friendly and they have a great clearance section in a rack in the middle of the frozen food aisle where you can find some great deals. Definitely a solid choice for food shopping

The people are lovely. Like some of the best folks around. The products on the other hand are not. I will go to Norwalk to Stew’s or Trader Joe before Acme. The Meat quality is poor at best
