Summary of Experience: rude staff, my truck got beat up, run-down state of facility, and not a care in the world for their customers. Personal Experience: I’ve been using Zips in Weaverville for about two years and enjoyed the services they offer alongside the tunnel car wash. Tunnel car washes are not the best for your vehicle's paint as the brushes/machines keep dirt/sand trapped which will mar your vehicle's surfaces with time. Anytime friction happens on your clear coat it’ll make swirls. Tunnels just make that happen at 100rpm. So be prepared there. Why I’m rating this location is from a recent experience. Over the last six months, I’ve noticed the staff and overall condition of the car wash is gone to crap. Once I used to enjoy the convinces of not having to get out of my vehicle to receive a wash and then proceed to the detailing station. Today I received some of the worst customer service from an employee and “manager” at this location. When I arrived at the car wash their system was having issues reading my card. It’s such a problem they have a card reader on hand for this issue. The manager was there to help in the situation. After trying to get the dysfunctional card reader to try reading my card six times. I tried to leave it in as it’s a chipped card. This is when he arrives and states you have to take it out in an ill tone. Nonetheless, it finally works with a separate system. Approaching the tunnel track the second employee the tunnel attendant (boy with curly hair) couldn’t care less how I approached the track to be centered on the system. Because of this, my mirrors got beat up as they went down the track system. Going through the tunnel you could see dirt and debris everywhere and the cleaning mops were filthy (another reason to avoid neglected tunnel wash systems). When I got out of the car wash I went to the vacuums under the overhang and none of them were on. Hoses were missing/nozzles and it looked run down with as little work the staff here could do to call it a day. I approached the office door to ask them why the vacuums were off the tunnel attendant stated that it was raining and they didn’t run them. I asked them if it would have been nice to know that before purchasing a car wash just to use their “free vacs”. A simple notice on the kiosk or entering the property would have sufficed. I told the attendant that the only reason I came today (as it was raining) was to vacuum my truck out. If I had known the vacuums were not running I would have simply gone to another car wash (which I ended up having to do). I asked if I could have a refund on the car wash since they didn’t have their “free vacs” working that day as listed on their logo. The attendant with a snark comment said no. At this point, I knew there was no use going forward with any more of that conversation and asked to speak to a manager. The manager (older gentleman who helped me at the start with the broken credit card machine) proceeds to tell me they can’t offer a refund as they don’t run the vacuums as it’s raining. I asked him the same question why don’t you just put a sign up stating this? His response was it wouldn’t look professional to have a simple sign on the machine or a sign when you enter the property. This is after they have duct tape all over their kiosk saying they are cashless. Never in the entire conversation was I told they were sorry they were not running and that it would be a good idea to make future customers aware to have a better experience. You can tell the manager doesn’t care about the property and is influencing this young attendant that it’s okay to not care about your job or your customer. I’ve operated car washes and it’s not hard to give a person a free car wash or offer a simple apology. I also took pride in my facility and cleaned when it was slow on rainy days. We also replaced broken credit card readers when they malfunctioned. This is one of the worst Zips car washes and I would be ashamed to work there or even run it.

The vacuum cleaner hoses are short and don't suck up debris well. One side with the vacuum cleaners doesn't work.

Went through the car wash last week. The track grabbed my tire and punctured it as well as scraped my wheel on a brand new car. Did a damage claim, they refuse to reimburse for the new tire I had to purchase or to pay for repair to wheel. Accusing me of steering while in the tunnel and/or putting it in drive neither of which I did. Car wash is always dirty, vacuums don’t work. Really unfortunate that they can’t take responsibility for damage caused by their car wash. Man at the tire place I took it to said it happens all the time.

I’m sitting in the parking lot writing this, hoping to save one person from blowing $35. I got the “full package”… the tires didn’t get shined and I spent more time trying to clean my truck with their dirty towels then I should have. Save yourself the money and go somewhere else or wash it at home. I should have taken pictures of the body of the truck because that wasn’t clean too. This place is worthless.

I've been so freaked out by car washes for a long time and these guys were really kind to me today. Experience was a breeze and car looks great. I'll be a repeat customer... and get a fancier wash the next time around. Thanks again!

Our car was damaged when using this carwash. You could hear something drag down the side and back of the truck. Use at your own risk because Zip will not do a thing for the damage.

There’s a guy that works here, Walter, that needs to be put in charge of running this entire place, and more locations. I’ve been coming to this Zips for three years and he clearly cares about his job and doing good work with a great attitude in ways that previous employees couldn’t care less about. As a small business owner, if I was in a position to hire him away from Zips I 100% would because of the energy and the attitude that he brings to otherwise menial work.

I use zips often, as many as a dozen times per month. The employees here, in Weaverville, are always very helpful and polite. I highly encourage getting a membership, paid monthly, allowing using the wash unlimited times.

Zip's Car Wash in Weaverville always does a good job. Soap wax, glaze and tire shine is always working and adds a classy look to the vehicle. Area is clean and the vacumns work. Attendants are interested in clients.

Love Zips. My only complaint is that they open at 8 AM not 7 AM like Antonella & many others. But they provide window spray and fresh towels, vacuums, and multiple kinds of washes which go up in price. I tend to do the monthly membership: they have a $20, a $25, and I’m gonna try the $30 one next because I believe it includes tires. My car looks better after zips than it does after auto bill. But I like auto bills time better, But they don’t offer vacuums which, as an Uber Driver, or essential. Another complaint: fix your freaking vacuums! I complained about my Local wash, and they actually ended up fixing them. 70% were broken though. The one I just went to in Weaverville, and see, I think half were broken. Seems like there’s pretty poor management at these places. My other complaint: most of the car washes have really poor air dry at the end of the wash. You have to pay for the dry, but only one location in Asheville actually drives well ( smoky Park Highway ). Overall, I’m very happy with tips and when you’re an Uber driver and clean your car multiple times a week, you just can’t beat $25 or $30 a month! Even if he just cleaned your car once a week, that’s worth it because I’ll spend $8-$10 bucks at the self car wash!
