Don't fall for their subscription promotion. It is a gym-membership-level hustle to scam you. Just pay for the wash you need at the moment. The subscription is incredibly convoluted to cancel and if you forget to cancel your promotion, they will not refund you. Terrible customer service. The people who work at the car wash just pass the buck by having you call a phone number that offers zero help. I will be warning folks to stay away from this place.

Hate to give such a bad review, but this place got a hold of our credit card and over 6 months they were charging us each month for a subscription, one that my wife had canceled! Owned by private equity firm. I would avoid.

The quality of this carwash is not what it was before Zips purchased it. I’ve been using this car wash for years now, but I cancelled my monthly plan this morning and probably will not be back. I grew up around the car wash business, and I don’t understand what is so difficult about prepping cars properly before they enter the tunnel - hitting the front and back windows and the roof with the pressure gun or a brush. That takes less than 30 seconds with two people. The guy barely prepped my car this morning, not even hitting the windshield at all. Also, the equipment isn’t serviced properly. Sometimes the wax and tire shine are applied, and sometimes they aren’t. When I went in to ask for the owner or manager, I was told Zips owned it. In other words…”good luck reporting any frustration. It’s a corporation that doesn’t care. We take your money and really don’t care whether you’re satisfied or not.” The guys who were working this morning had no desire to assist me. They were sitting in chairs with their feet propped up on the desk, no joke. When I asked why the roof of my car wasn’t coming clean, they both responded - “we don’t provide that service.” It’s a carwash but you don’t care if your customers vehicles are not being cleaned sufficiently? Neither of them offered to even look at my vehicle. I’m a reasonable person. I don’t expect more than what I am paying for. I would have even tipped the guy to help me clean my roof because I’m not able to climb up and wipe the middle of my roof. After I realized they didn’t care, I cancelled my membership and left. Thankfully, Athens has plenty of car washes to choose from. Saturday, March 18 - if you notice I was sent a generic auto-generated message asking me to click on a link to report a problem. If I thought that would spark any sort of change, I’d click on it. But as my review from yesterday states, that carwash is now corporately owned and does not care if our cars are clean or not. There is no friendly customer service here. It’s take the money and run….

I had the special half off for the first three months Unlimited Premier Plan, but I will be canceling after this month. No matter how easy I take it on my AWD brakes to prevent brake dust, my rims always still come out of Zips grimy. Even when I spray rim cleaner on first before entering the wash. I always end up handwashing my rims at home afterwards. This is in addition to me paying $150 to $200 every other month for a full showroom detail on my car by my mobile detailer. My car is an investment that I want to last as long as possible, so upkeep is a must! My car should be FULLY clean exiting the car wash especially if it's a price tag of $45 per single wash outside of a plan. After I complete this month I will not be returning.

Excellent drive through car wash. From $8-$25 for a wash so on par with other similar. Monthly plans are also available. They folded in my mirrors for me, that was a nice detail that most others don’t do. I didn’t use the vacuumes so I can’t add anything there but they looked new and plenty of people were using them.

This place is a joke!! The staff are not equipped to handle basic questions or handle customer service issues. When you go to leave they fly out another door and want to argue with you and try to intimidate the customer. They met their match with me, as I was not having it! It was my first last and only time, I will never go back.

Definitely a top notch car wash. Great employees, great vacuum suction and placement, and a detailing air gun for the tiny cracks and such. They also have a cart with various cleaners and towels for you to use freely! My favorite part about this place is that it’s SO spacious! I also saw a mat cleaning machine but did not use. This place is awesome and I wish they were closer to my house. I suggest you stop by and let your car shine!! It’s kind of expensive for the basic. $8 for a basic.. I suggest the Hook & Ladder wash for $12.

AWESOME AWESOME experience!! As a local top rated google guide and Elite Yelper, I was looking forward to giving this brand new business a try. Here is what makes them better than the rest! Dallas serviced us upon arriving. He was upbeat and super friendly. He educated us completely on their business and helped in determining what we needed. Their premium wash that’s only $25 is SO worth it. My car looks fabulous, I can’t even believe it. Here’s my very favorite part. They offer towels and cleaners to use complimentary. This is HUGE!! They are locally owned and everyone working was very warm, friendly, and accommodating. Please find our pictures attached to our review. Great job Fire Station Express. My firefighter hubby LOVES the name too!

BUYER BEWARE of Zips in Watkinsville. I visited on December 15 for a basic wash which cost $12. After I left, upon returning back to work, I received a credit card charge notification that I had an additional $24 charge at Zips. I have attempted to contact the business six times, both via phone and email, providing all requested documentation. I also drove out to Watkinsville to discuss and they instructed me to call the corporate number, which I told them I already had. Corporate told me I had to request a refund at the time of the charge, however, the unauthorized charge did NOT take place until I was off the premises. I simply want my $24 charge (that I did NOT authorize) refunded. No one is willing to help and they keep sending me back and forth. This company does not care about their customers and they are thieves for making unauthorized charges on customers’ cards. Watch out, Watkinsville! There are plenty of other honest car wash options around town; don’t put your finances at risk by going to Zips.

Checking the reviews this isnt the first time an employee changed the wash type on a customer to upsale a wash. Went for a wash, attendant came out with the IPad, asked me what wash, i said basic $12... i even tapped the screen for the basic $12 wash. Was charged for the Basic Pro at $18. Not good business practice for employees to do that. You lost a customer...
