Stopped in for wash and got a Full Service. They were not busy and I was the only person getting a wash around 3:30pm. I paid and my car was in the drying area within 5 min. I have a full size SUV and the full service includes interior and exterior services. 2 employees were cleaning my SUV and there were 5-6 others sitting on the wall waiting. They wiped the outside and vacuumed within 5 min and said I was ready to leave. There was water still all over the vehicle, the door jams were not wiped. There were wet dirty footprints from the employee on the door sill. The wheels were wet and tire shine was poorly applied. I asked them to finish and the employees seemed irritated. I asked for the manager and showed him what was going on. He seemed bothered by my request and said he would take care of it. 2 min later he said it was finished and there was still water everywhere and wet footprints on the door. Unacceptable level of service and I’m unlikely to return.

This was one of the coolest car washes I’ve ever been too! The staff was very friendly and they even helped me pick out a scent for my car. I also thought that is was nice they pumped gas for some sweet elderly ladies. I was pleasantly surprised when they took out my Weather Tech mats and got us all clean. This was a very good experience!

I went today after buying a used car to get it cleaned out. It was kind of a mess, but I think they could have done a better job. Half hearted effort at best.

Paid for full service car wash. Apparently it’s not like it used to be. Didn’t wipe dash or vacuum floor. Glad I paid $26. Ugh

A long time customer. Always courteous. efficient service. Today, I am very disappointed by a management change in operations..Now I must pay for gas in the store, then pay for my car wash by the car wash entrance. The policy now, no longer will the service people take your keys, drive your car onto the track, then I wait in the store lobby to watch your car come through. I visit Waterway for this full service feature. I left. I always have problems getting my car on a car wash track. The service people said they were happy to direct me onto the track or get in the car to help me get onto the track but could not just do it for me! Of course, I still must pay $24 plus tip! I just don't get it, there are still two people at the entrance that could do what they have always done. Put my car on the track and then my car moves through the wash. Full-service is Full service, this is not it! Of course, no car wash in town will provide this little extra service, but then it would be half the money. Very disappointed by this change.

This is what the $10 wash looks like. ..make sure you get out and look so they can fix or refund. I’d already driven home before looking..maybe they should have their own staff checking

Used to be a fan and have been going here for years but with the new changes.. a $29 drive-through car wash that no longer even hand dry’s my car and now also won’t do tire shine unless I’m a member has changed my attitude. Will be going across the highway moving forward.

I did The Works twice in the past year and got hosed both times. A really half-assed cleaning effort inside the car both times. Seats and console were not wiped down. I thought I would treat my wife to a nice clean car and came away super disappointed both times.

Our car was damaged on May 17th, 2019. Today is June 3rd. The manager that was working had an awful attitude about it as if it was my fault their machine ripped trim off of our $80k Range Rover. He was positioning himself to say "too bad" in the conversation but I wasn't about to let him. I made him go back in the wash and look for the piece which was promptly found and then he was forced to respond that they'd fix it. He was supposed to call us within a day or two but it's been 17 days without contact. I think they're hoping I'll just go away. Not gonna happen. I called today to talk to someone and the manager I got today was also very rude and acting as if the damage to our Range Rover was an inconvenience for him. Both managers I've spoken to have had horrible attitudes and have responded to me as if the damage to our Range Rover doesn't mean anything to them and they just can't be bothered to help us. And they want us to go to two different body shops to get quotes and then we have to accept the lower quote. That's going to be at least four hours out of our days - will we get any compensation for it? Nope. This is the second time this carwash has damaged a vehicle of mine. Several years ago I watched a young man put the hand wand right against the paint of my Land Rover Discovery and blast off 5" of clear coat. The response from the manager at the time: well, it's not our fault. There must have been a chip there. There certainly wouldn't have been 5" of clear coat blasted off if the kid hadn't put the wand on the hood. The manager didn't care and told me he wasn't doing anything about it. I have no idea why we ever came back here. I never will again and I will tell everyone I know how this carwash damages vehicles and they don't care at all that they do it. The whole experience has been terrible.

I brought my GTI in for a wash and minor detail this afternoon, and was very pleased with the care they took in making sure they hit all the major points. They took the time to check they didn’t miss anything glaring. The outside looks great. I do not expect perfection- if I did, I’d have spent the afternoon detailing the car myself. It didn’t need that, but was filthy compared to my wife’s new car in the garage, and so I treated it to a good cleaning. I hate that there are cleaning implements that touch the car. But here in KC, I’ve not found a spot that’s truly brushless, as in, pressure wash only. (Other than my own garage.) Would I bring a show car here? No. But I’ll bring my daily drivers when they need a good cleaning and I don’t have the time to hand wash and wax myself. Hell, I brought the GTI here for a good cleaning before I spent a weekend polishing and ceramic coating it, 4 years ago.

Best carwash / gas station in Johnson county. The only station that sells 93 octane for my car. All of the employees are fantastic, friendly and attentive. Love the location as well.

I used to love this location…. Unfortunately the last few washes I’ve gotten have been SO bad! I get a better wash going through the drive through ones and vacuuming myself. When I get into my car, you wouldn’t even believe me if I told you I just got a wash. I keep my car pretty clean in the first place so it’s a bit frustrating that they don’t even do the minimum. Won’t be paying this much for such a terrible wash again. Attaching an image of just my driver’s side door just to show a tiny bit of what they are leaving behind.

Waterway Leawood is the best! Everyone here works so hard and it really shows. You can tell they genuinely care about what they do, and I always leave impressed with the service. On top of that, the conversations are awesome, always friendly and real, which makes the whole experience even better. Big thanks to the whole team for the great work and good vibes every time I come in! Super sad to leave KS and these awesome people!

Got the works package. The wash went as expected, but when the kids at the end wiped everything down they did so with the same towels they had used to spread the tire shine all over my tires. My entire vehicle has tire shine applied to it. When I got in they told me that it was just some condensation. It thought it was strange, but left, only to realize what they had done to all of my windows. I could barely see out at all. Luckily I live close and could get home and get a majority of the film off my windows so I could see properly again. Still wants able to get it all off, so going to need to find a way to get it all off of my paint now too. Seriously considering cancelling my membership over this. Quality of work has been on a constant decline for a while. Update: After posting this I will say that waterway has contacted me and has tried to rectify this poor performance, and told me they will be implementing new training in order to try and rectify the decline in service. I would have to say I am satisfied with their honest response thus far.

Review for THE WHOLE THING® Car Wash Package I have been a long-time customer at this car wash, often opting for their top-tier package, THE WHOLE THING®. This service promises a full exterior and interior clean, complete with a ceramic protectant, fresh scent, and even a 5-Day Clean Guarantee. However, my most recent experience was deeply disappointing and unfortunately, it will also be my last at this establishment. Despite the facility not being busy—only three cars were being serviced with plenty of staff available—my car was returned to me with several areas clearly overlooked. The most glaring omission was my navigation screen, which appeared untouched. I understand that many of the employees are teenagers, but with a light workload and ample staffing, these oversights are simply inexcusable. My wife also stopped using their services due to similar experiences, opting to manually clean her car instead. I plan to return for the complimentary wash promised by their 5-Day Clean Guarantee, but after that, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I've realized that if I want the job done right, I'm better off doing it myself. I was genuinely tempted to just re-clean my car then and there, given how many spots—including the windows—were missed. I hope they take this feedback seriously and use it to improve for the sake of their future customers.

This used to be a great car wash, but they’ve taken away so many of the great services like driving your car through and wiping your car down and tires - unless you pay the very top tier. I used to think it was worth paying a little bit more for the service they provided, but it’s gone so downhill. It’s expensive for a very poor experience and service. You can see from the picture posted from my wash today - I got the “ceramic express” which is supposed to wash your tires, but it doesn’t. Don’t waste your money here - go somewhere else that’s cheaper where you get the exact same car wash!!

Please listen to the other reviews. I regret not paying more attention to the negative reviews before giving this location a try. I paid $50 for the “whole thing” and feel like I received the service of the “interior package”. They asked me if there was anything I would like them to pay extra attention to. I thought this was nice and told them I would really appreciate my seats being cleaned. I have white seats and it was very obvious they were not wiped down. Another thing that caught my attention with their highest package was the mention of cleaning the dash and steering wheel. Both of these were barely touched. My center screen was not wiped down at all, the doors were not cleaned as mentioned in the package. The vacuum job and the exterior wash looked okay. I wish I wouldn’t have spent the extra money for the highest package. I can’t help but think I would have gotten the exact same service for the lower interior package.

I paid for the most expensive wash/interior detail package and sat for 25 mins with my two kids. When they told me it was done I came out and he literally didn’t even throw the empty water bottles away, so I asked him to and then I saw none of my cup holder had been cleaned so he half way cleaned those. When I drove off I realized he didn’t even completely vacuum my vehicle. Not to mention my rims were still dirty, there was still finger prints all over my screen. I’m not sure what he actually did clean. I called and “Kirby” said they will redo it but with two small children I need it done right the first time, now it’s an inconvenience for me to have to come back in because they can’t do their job right to begin with. I won’t be purchasing the monthly rate after seeing how they do their jobs.

Worst AND most expensive car wash (not detail) I've had in 40 years of car ownership. Look at the photos to see what $55 "The Whole Thing" will buy you. Top 1/3 of back window was never touched, never lifted wiper blades to dry window, "cleaned" floor mats were reinstalled dripping wet. Tire shine? Nope. Rims cleaned? Nope, look like they've been smeared with toothpaste. But they were fast, that's for sure! Called to express my dismay and was told to bring it back, "But not right now because we're a little busy. Come back this evening. " Who has time for that?! Guy who answered the phone didn't even sound surprised or apologetic. New to the area, will continue to look for a decent car wash. Suggest you do the same.
