Wash is ok, convenient from my home. No initial pressure wash like club carwash that can remove bird poop and insects. Also, if you can open at 7am that would be great as well.

Amazing place. Best car wash I’ve ever gotten… ask for Josh he wears a really cool uniform and handles his iPad like a real expert. Great place and workers 10/10! Love a guy in uniform!

I came to Waterway Express to address some tree sap and stubborn hard water stains on my car. The staff was extremely thorough and went above and beyond to ensure my car got as clean as possible. Cannot recommend enough, my car hasn't been this clean since I rolled it off the lot!

I have visited this business several times since it opened, and each time the staff has been courtesy and willing to go the extra mile to assure I am satisfied. The last time I went, I had forgotten that I had my kids' bikes in the back of my truck. In order to still allow me to get my carwash, the manager Michael French helped me unload them and then stood by them until my carwash was completed. It really meant a lot that he went the extra mile for this.

Went to this waterway the other day and they were having internet problems-couldn’t process my credit card! The manager Mr French, sent me on thru the car wash FREE OF CHARGE! That was so kind of him! The car wash is first class- usually the blowers don’t do a great job at waterway express-they are awesome and my car ended the wash WITH NO SPOTS FROM LEFT OVER WATER! Five stars to waterway Clayton and MR FRENCH the manager! I won’t go anywhere else!

I was a member of the Waterway Express on Hanley Road in Clayton for 11 months. While the quality of the wash with the $45/month membership wasn't 5-stars, the location is close to my house and was worth signing up for... This month (April 2023), management made a policy change and has chosen to enforce a sticker requirement. They have decided to force all members to put a gaudy and cartoonishly ugly logo on the front of your windshield in order to keep using the membership. I expressed my disapproval of this to the corporate office as well as the location manager. Neither of them were able to articulate to me why this was necessary -- simply stating that the decision had been made. I decided to cancel my memberships (two cars) and sign up with BriteWorx instead. BriteWorx doesn't require trashy window stickers to use their service, and instead uses a more elegant and sophisticated license plate reading camera. It's an objectively better car wash for only $38/month. Plus they have free vacuums on site. There's also never a traffic jam (which is a frequent occurrence at Waterway Express).

My husband responded to a coupon offer for a Free Express car wash on 9/30. When he entered the car wash, his car was intact. When he left the car wash the trim on the front hood was missing. He showed the damage to the manager , Joe, who said that "He couldn't imagine they would not pay for the damage." He took his car to a body shop the following morning. The estimate to replace and install the trim was $100. He then spoke with the general manager of the Clayton location, Ben, who claimed the car had preexisting damage. His response was an offer of $50 and COUPONS for future car washes. HA! This was not a FREE CAR WASH! BEWARE!!

Ben, the general manager, runs a top notch car wash. I thought their car wash left a few scuffs on my truck, so Ben looked at them. We determined that it was most likely not the car wash, but he was still willing to wax the small areas by hand to remove the marks and even put it through the car wash again for free. Beyond professional. That was a class act. He’s a great guy and this is a great car wash. I highly recommend this place.

Went to this location for a one off car wash and somehow ended up with subscription plan for 39 dollars a month!! Have called the location multiple times but no one picks up the phone. Emailed customer service and waiting to hear back but already disputed the charges with my bank. Will update the review if/when I hear back from the owner. Update: Customer support reached out quickly to rectify the situation and cancel the membership. Moral of the story, always ask for the receipt.

Hello, I just wanted to write this to say what an amazing experience I had at the Clayton location today! The customer service is amazing, my associate named Kyle could not have been any nicer and explained all the washes and even gave me a great deal on a membership! I can't wait to keep coming here and hope the management sees this! Kyle was honestly the best experience I've ever had at a car wash. Thanks again Kyle! I can't wait to use my membership!

well, it's fast, there's no denying. but if you want your car clean, this is not the place. I had to clean the entire roof by hand as this car "wash" barely cleaned anything there. The "ceramic" option is probably just a marketing gimmick. Complete waste of money.

Location is decent. No initial spray down like other locations, and no vacuums on site. If you have a membership and are in the area, it's not an awful place to go. It does push you straight onto Hanley which can be intimidating. Not sure how well that works if there's car behind you looking to exit as well. I don't understand the reviews regarding interior service: this location doesn't offer it. All you're getting here is a standard exterior wash. No vacuums, no area to even get out and hand dry your car.

A unique self guided wash in the heart of downtown Clayton. I've been to a full service Waterway in the past and prefer. After two visits I was satisfied with the quality of both washes. The basic wash is $10 and their best $25. They do not offer vacuums, or even ability to get out of your car. You will exit directly onto the road. Of note after payment with a staff that was friendly and processed my payment your on your own. The large digital sign directs your car onto the conveyor belt. I would return.

It's a pretty good car wash but it doesn't drive the car that great. And then you get the wax if you don't run your windshield wipers immediately you'll have spots all over the windshield

STAY AWAY - HORRIBLE CONFLICT RESOLUTION FROM THE MANAGERS JASON AND JEREMY. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. MY CAR IS WORTH HUNDREDS OF $$$ LESS AFTER TAKING IT TO THIS LOCATION. my girlfriend took my car to get detailed for my birthday and I left with have three buttons removed from my media console and my light display on my speedometer no longer works. They have effectively devalued my car and it now would not pass a safety and emissions test. My car is now needed HUNDREDS of dollars worth of repair due to the lack of care these high schoolers have when it comes to washing your car. They stripped the buttons off my media console and I had to bring it to their attention as if the high school kid didn’t realize right as he did it (it is very obvious). It has now been over a week since the complaint has been filed and it seems like they are trying to wipe my situation under the rug as all I have gotten is a coupon for a free car wash. The general manager, Jason, and the assistant general manager, Jeffrey, have done a HORRIBLE job at resolving this conflict. They should be taking care of all the repair costs, but instead, all I got is a coupon for a free car wash at their location (as if I’d ever take it back). DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!

All automated car washes are pretty much the same.When it comes to the car washes as the vacuum is in that you're always worried about?Whether or not they're gonna have good suction.And this place at least where at least the vacuums that I used had good suction.

The exterior wash was inadequate, as some bugs remained on the windows. I had to clean it myself at home again. The interior cleaning was equally poor. They hired numerous teenagers to clean the interior, but they lacked the effort and dedication to do a thorough job. The touch screen was dirty, as evident from the numerous spots they missed, as shown in my image below.

My favorite Waterway car wash after the one on Brentwood. The only downside is that they don’t have vacuums — it’s more of an express location, so you’re in and out in just a couple of minutes. The attendants are also very nice and helpful
