I highly recommend this place! We have been really happy after taking multiple vehicles here for years now. We have used them for automotive repairs as well as tires, and the work has always been solid. We never have to take the car back for follow up work after they do a fix. I LOVE that they’ll drive me to and from work while they work on my car, it’s great for making sure to get oil changes regularly - The convenience makes it so easy! I have a general mistrust for mechanics after some bad experiences with shops taking advantage just to make a buck and these guys have really earned my trust and appreciation. Important to me: Vandervert Automotice has always been competitively priced, which I appreciate. I don’t even feel the need to get quotes elsewhere anymore because they are always a great price compared to other shops. They also tell me what to anticate for future maintenance/repairs and what is priority. I appreciate the honesty.

Matt (service writer) was great to deal with, and they even signed up as a South Bend dealer so they could purchase the clutch I wanted. Found and fixed a problem with the A/C that I didn't even know about. I called two weeks later for mechanical advice on a different matter and they were happy to advise me. I've relied on Vandervert to keep my old XTerra running since moving to Spokane last year. I think it is the most professional and courteous shop I've used in many years. They get repairs done when they say they will, do accurate pre repair estimates and stick to them. Two stories: Last year I had a problem after they replaced the fuel pump with one that turned out to be defective. They promptly fixed it again at no cost to me. Then it leaked. Took it back and they honestly owned up to installing it wrong and again fixed it quickly. Would have been easy to blame it on another defective part but I was impressed with the better way they handled it. This year I took it in after a major tire shop told me an axle seal was leaking. I was prepared to pay for this $500 job. But when I went to pick up the car, George told me the seal was fine and didn't need to be replaced. Even showed me photos to show me how he reached that conclusion. Sadly, this degree of integrity can't be taken for granted and, again, I was impressed. Can't recommend this business highly enough.

I do not have enough words to express how grateful I am for Vandervert. My Jeep had been dying on me while at high rate of speed for 10 months and 6 different automotive shops including a dealership that could not correctly figure out why. It was 2 days my Jeep was with Vandervert and they FOUND IT! SPARK PLUGS, coils, and boots. This is after being told it was the transmission by a dealership, (which I replaced) and turns out did not fix the problem. Matt and Joss kept me informed every step of the way and I couldn’t be happier, they took the TIME to figure out the REAL problem. 100% recommend them for everything. You guys got me back on the road after 10 months. So very grateful. ❤️

We're very happy with Vandervert Automotive. They worked on our Dodge 2500 brakes and A/C. The previous mechanic glanced at the brakes from the rim holes and determined they were fine. Not really because the brake pads had actually shattered in pieces. We had the A/C serviced at that same shop I won't mention. They charged us $164 with a bill that said in fine print that they're not responsible for leaks. It all leaked out the first week. Vandervert put in the extra effort, found the leak and replaced the necessary parts. They fixed our 2003 Subaru brakes, tie rods and struts and now it drives as tight as a new car. We have a Chrysler hardtop convertible that drove down the road like a tin can which made for a miserable drive. They went the extra mile, located the problems and fixed each. Now it's an enjoyable ride. Vandervert's office is informative, the mechanics do a great job and the owner is a good guy. We need more companies like this one.

My wife went out to start her car this morning and it wouldn't start. Called Vandervert and they were great on the phone and said I could drop it off and they would work it in this week. I was luckily able to get it to the shop after a jump. Matt was awesome and tested the battery for us and it did turn out to be the battery. Tested the alternator just to be sure and it was fine. Got us in right away and the battery was done in minutes. Definitely will be back for anything else we need done.

Very pleased with the service and integrity of this place, they gave me their opinion on some things that I wanted looked at and they said it would be a bit more than what the car was worth but I'm happy they gave me that option. They gave me their honest opinion about a few things and didn't charge for it. That makes me trust them that much more. They didn't make up some excuse to do the work. That I appreciate the most.
