This location is terrible. They are rude and trashy. Specially the woman with the nose ring that worked at 12:45 04.25.2025. They don’t bother to automatically cover the back-shield wiper like all other locations do. They destroyed mine and I paid $70 to fix it. Now I have to tell them every single time to cover it for me. Some of the workers, like this one I mentioned, are rude and lazy, and they will scream on you if you ask them to do their job. They charge over 300 a year for this and they should be a shamed to hire the worst people in Richmond for their service.

Best Tommy’s location in my opinion. The conveyor belt has always been super smooth and they have some of the friendliest employees. Look for Tre, bright eyes and a huge smile. They made my day today with their amazing customer service :) (7 or 8 month subscriber)

Omg I love Tommy’s! The people are so nice here, it is so clean and my car always looks amazing after. The whole experience always leaves me feeling great. The free mat washers are icing on the cake too. 😁

I have been to Tommy’s 2X with my dually truck. Both experiences were excellent. The staff is so friendly and my truck comes out shining! I would join, but we live in Williamsburg. I hope they open one closer to us soon! Lots of campgrounds equals lots of big trucks needing washed! For now, I will stop in anytime I’m in the area.

I ended up getting the monthly plan for this location. I was going there a few times a month but with the monthly plan I go a few times a week. My car gets about 90 percent clean when I go, but if I go a couple times a week it usually gets pretty clean. The under areas of my back windshield and some areas under the car and on the sides doesn't get hit perfectly, but it's fine for the price. The vacuums work pretty well usually, and there are two in case the one isn't working the best

I wish I could give 5 stars- but I went through their wash twice and my car is still dirty. "Ultimate Car Wash". I was looking for a new car wash place but I guess this isn't it. I didn't have time to stick around and tried to contact customer service via chat when I got home. No one answered the chat and it was 15 minutes before customer service was closed. This wasn't worth the money they charged. Edit: I attempted to contact customer service again and waited 20 minutes to talk with someone only to be told I had to talk to the on site manager. I wasn't that mad, but I am now-and definitely think they should refund my money. I wasted too much time on this and can't recommend this company to anyone. You really have to work to get a bad review from me and they definitely earned it. I would have been happy if they just gave me a credit to go through again or something. Geez. 09/08/25 A year later we gave this place another chance. It is the closest to our house. It was not a better experience. They no longer take cash. The woman at the register came out and screamed at us because I was hesitant to get on the car guide while another car was on it. My car was still dirty after the wash. This is why we drive farther to another business. The other car wash gets all the dirt and grime off our cars AND the employees manage to be helpful/friendly. I've never had an employee at the other place come out and scream at me.

I've taken my car through many car washes and this place is the first to have damaged it. Again, this has never happened to me before anywhere else so it wasn't an issue prior to going through the wash. the people were very nice though. I hope I can find a way to fix the damage :(

Their brushes were too strong and screwed up the back of my car. Filed a claim with them, and was given the run around by the manager on site. When I went back to figure out my status on the claim, they used photos from that visit to say that I had the damage previously on my car and refused to contribute to any repairs of my bumper. Emailed the manager back asking to meet with him in person to discuss and was never given a response. If they thought about customer service in the slightest degree maybe they would have offered a free few months as an apology for the inconvenience. I paid these guys $80 in my car wash subscription just so they could scratch my car up and blame it on me. Thanks to Michael and everyone else at Tommy’s. Appreciate your top notch customer service. Thought I made the right decision switching from flagstop, I guess not!

Used to love going here but I just can’t stand the absolute rude employees here. The past couple times I’ve been one of their managers, Lindsay has been saying vulgar things and foul language at me for not loading onto the car wash well enough. It’s just rude and because of her I won’t be returning. Please fire her.

I’ve been coming to this car wash for years. Lisa and Lesley have been my girls that always smiles and are always happy and always know me by name that touches my heart for you to be able to come to an establishment where people know who you are when you come in to do business with them these young ladies need to have a raise because they’re kind to all people that come to this location on Arthur Ashe Boulevard the bathrooms are always clean. They’re always working to keep the documents free of debris and keeping the parking lot clean. That’s one of the things I can always say when I come here they’re working and I wanna add their pictures so that you all can know who I’m talking about when you come here to do your businessat Tommy’s car wash

We went for Halloween. It was definitely an experience. The guy warned me it would be scary but whew... It was 25$ per car but it's 35$ a month for members and you can go all month. Went 3 times. I recommend getting the membership.

The most mediocre car wash I have ever experienced. Literally didn't even get my windshield clean. I did really appreciate the free vacuums and the mat washer was cool, although it didn't dry the mats so I was left with wet mats to put in my car.

They're friendly, helpful and explain process and specials. Hear mat cleaners are awesome but they don't work on cupped weather tech mats. The vacuum service is lovely and doesn't kick off after certain time Your first month is essentially free after paying for one wash and you can then come every day if you desire. The haunted car wash was fun!

I've had a membership here for 18 months, and I get my car washed and vacuumed 2-3 times a week for my job as a driver. The service has been subpar and keeps getting worse. The vacuums never seem to work right - sometimes one side works, sometimes neither do. And it's not just this location, all of them have the same problem. The brushes also keep damaging my car's body, and the wash doesn't even get it completely clean. It's a complete mess... Think twice before getting a membership at this car wash.

I would not waste my money coming here again. I dropped $20 to get a car wash, and I was completely disappointed. I’m not keen on going through car washes as it is, but I definitely won’t get one again after this. My car still wasn’t clean after we went through. There was dirt EVERYWHERE (pictures included). Not to mention the fact that I just got my car inspected, so it was in great shape, but after coming out of the car wash, my side light was hanging out and partially broken (picture also included). The best part of this place was the free vacuums, and even those were weak.

I stopped in for a “super” wash that was supposed to include the undercarriage, but after the wash, underneath the car was completely dry. When I mentioned the issue, an attendant brought me inside, but the female with locs was rude, with eye rolls and short responses, and told me to drive back through. I declined and left. SN: The vacuums a weak, several detail kit stations were sold out, and the mat washer was out of order. If it weren't for the one attendant who took me inside, I would have given 1 star. He deserves a kudos.

We have been going to this location for several years. There is a big sign that says if you're dissatisfied that says "beautiful. But if for any reason you're not completely satisfied, please let us know." Well, after going through our car was not clean and so we went around to ask to go through again and a very stern unfriendly manager said that the satisfaction guarantee was only for subscription members. we mentioned that the sign should clearly say that and it doesn't. She continued to say that every Tommy's is different in their policy. We asked for contact information for the franchisee owner so that we could express our disappointment and she refused to give it to us. Even though we don't have a membership, we spend a lot of money at this location on our cars and are now going to rethink whether we will be returning. WARNING TO NON-MEMBER CUSTOMERS: Regardless of how the sign reads and owner is obviously unwilling to edit the sign to reflect that only MEMBERS should expect a clean car and satisfaction.

I’m all for seasonal festivities and bringing a new, Halloween tunnel environment to a saturated car wash market. But, there’s a certain level of unpredictability when you mix teenagers in masks and no way of being held accountable. During our visit Saturday evening an employee took the experience too far. I understand the need for employees to ‘scare’ the guests to go along with the experience, but going as far as putting not only putting your hands inside my car, but also on my girlfriend’s body crosses a huge line of professionalism. Remarks regarding her appearance while doing so pushes the line even further. Employee is pictured below, I highly doubt they will face any repercussions, but the fact this even happened to begin with should speak volumes on the service you could expect at this establishment.
