I recommend and trust these guys 100%. When dealership repair services have failed me or even when I need something, they come through. They checked my battery immediately when they heard Honda gave me a diagnostic that didn’t sound right. Nick and Matt have always been super kind and helpful to me. I appreciate their customer service!

me and my son were out of town 6 1/2 hours away visiting my husband and our tire blew out in the freeway. so we had to wait HOURS on the side of the freeway for someone to FINALLY stop and help,THAN we had to sleep in the car because we had no money for a hotel and we couldn't drive that far away on a donut and needed a new tire. So the next day we went to pep boys after looking for good prices and they were closing in like 30 minutes but still helped as quickly as possible and gave us a deal that helped more than they know . all I know is if I'm ever in trouble again this is where I would go, very humble and patient as my son was all over there store as well . thank u Robert and I think the other gentleman was Tony, we appreciate you . sincerely, us

I was so happy driving home with my new tires! I tested them on the freeway and the ride felt great. Thanks to Nick and Thomas both, for the customer service, and the technician seems to have done a great job too. The job was done in the estimated time of a couple of hours. My girls and I walked around and did errands, and had a great time.

One of the best places in town for service. I call and spoke with Nick Martinez (Service Manager) about getting a few services done on my truck. He quoted me a excellent price but, I need it done that same day. Nick had told me he had a few jobs lined up, it would possibly not be ready until the next day. So I dropped off the truck at about noon, and Nick and the Tech. Kevin moved mountains to get my truck out the same day. Surely enough they kept there word and had it to me before they closed shop. Overall a excellent job. The car was clean and sanitized. Friendly and amazing work, ask for Nick next time you need work done on your car.

I came here for an oil change, and shortly after leaving and getting on the freeway, my heat shield came loose and had a part hanging that was hitting the ground. I had to call a tow truck. I ended up going from here to Rizzoli’s for assistance the same day. Rizzoli’s determined that the issue was most likely caused by the heat shield being unscrewed during the oil change here at Pep Boys. Thankfully, they were able to fix everything (Rizzoli’s) and did an excellent job. Some auto shops are scums who will screw you over to make more money. Do your research before doing business. Again I can’t “accuse” this auto shop of messing up my car as I did not see them unscrew the heat shield but most likely it was caused here as my car is new and never had this problem. Will not be back here.

Made an appointment online. When I walked in the associate said He didn't see an appointment. Then once He found it He proceeded to tell Me the oil change would take 3 hours because They are short staffed because the business is eventually going out of business. Not at all how I would handle a customer interaction but if your looking for unrealistic wait time and rude customer service then this is the place to go

The mechanical service was handled very professionally. BUT, the professionalism is poor and low quality at it finest. I asked about receiving new tires, the gentlemen gave sarcastic remarks because I ask about promotions. Didn't offer any good deals, and proceeded to speak over me. I left the respectful mechanic my vehicle for only an oil change. When I returned, the total was 100 dollars. I decide to find a coupon on the site and he displayed a rude behavior as my phone was loading the coupon. I do not know if he had a bad day, because we are all human and can have those, but I will not excuse the downgraded effort to assist a customer. And finally, he did not HAND me my receipt or keys. If I hand you something, I expect the same respect to be returned. As a solution, the employee should retake customer service courses and print the certificate to have in his wallet to remind him not to be so rude to a well-mannered customer like myself. Pep boys, thank you for your time and service, but my money is no good in a place of Awful customer service.

I came here at 9:30 with 10 AM appointment,I had with Nick. Thomas at the front desk told me I had to wait for couple hours to get my alignment done since my work is a WARRANTY work. If it was the work that to pay today, I wouldn't have to wait this long. Now at noon, I came in and asked when my car would start to get serviced, Thomas, the same guy said I will need to wait until his staff finished having lunch because it was illegal to have lunch. I totally understood about the wait but I did not understand why pep boys took an appointment at 10:00 AM when they did not have anyone to do the job. I kept repeating this question him few times about this with hope of at least the appology. He kept replying me in a hard way without any single apology and act as it was my false. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this pep boy if you come for the job that you already have warranty not paying for it. Because they WILL NOT CARE THE JOB THEY DON'T GET MONEY.

Just moved back from Virginia after 4 years on active duty and wanted to find a place similar to Firestone to service my vehicle. I think Pep Boys in Santa Maria might be better. Easy appointment system, great coupons/prices, friendly staff and most importantly THEY TAKE CARE OF YOUR CAR!! I went in for an oil change ONLY and they inspected my car for free and caught some things BUT didn’t force me to service that issue immediately. Got my tires rotated for free which is always nice. Great experience and I know where to go for my car needs now.

I wanted to use a coupon for the oil change that I got directly from Pep Boys website and was told they may or may not accept it. They wouldn't tell me if it would be accepted until after the oil change was complete and I was ready to pay. I don't like this ambiguity. I want to know the cost of a service BEFORE I agree to it....not after. So I went to Walmart instead and was totally happy.

Though pep boys didn’t have my requested tires for my car. They suggested an alternative tires of my car. Since then I haven’t had any issues. Customer service is truly outstanding.

To start I initially tired to buy tires for my F150 on 11/25/22 and Thomas told me that 35” tall tires do not exist for pickup trucks and those were only for semi-trucks. After telling him that many vehicles come stock with 35” tires and he was wrong, he then told me he could get them in, but they are special order and have no idea if or when he could ever get them. I proceeded to say forget it, and within 30 minutes I was at Figeroas Tires with a new set of 35” tires mounted and balanced. I then schedule an online appointment with Pep boys because I have a lifetime alignment and would like to get my monies worth. I show up the next day and Thomas is there and says he cannot find my appointment, I show him my confirmation and he gets visibly upset and tells me to never use the online website. I am able to drop off my vehicle and he says it will be many hours and has no estimate when it could be done. Eventually I am notified and return and the alignment is still out in many parameters, but I am told “that is the best they can do”. I show him the alignment from last year with the exact same vehicle and how everything was within parameters. They said it is because my suspension has “settled”… I will admit I have a 2” lift so maybe that is why, regardless, they are rude, they lie, have poor customer service, and generally do not want your business. I recommend anywhere else, Figeroas Tires is more than happy help you out! Picture included for Thomas to show that 35” tires do indeed exist.

I called and talked to a polite guy on Monday. I think it was Michael(?) He confirmed a tire deal that I was asking about. I made an online appointment for the following Wednesday. Tuesday morning I called to see if I could change my appointment to Tuesday. He said, "Come on in." I had the tires installed and as promised and everything is working out just fine. Good service. Good prices. I've bought tires from them several times and probably will continue to do so.

I initially contacted the PEP BOYS store in Santa Maria before placing my tire order. Nick, the supervisor, was exceptionally helpful and patient, addressing all my inquiries regarding the tire. This was my first experience considering PEP BOYS services, prompted by a sale event and the specific tire I required for my vehicle. The tire arrived on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, and Nick informed me that my order was ready for install. I mentioned to him that I would check my schedule and arrange an appointment for the tire replacement, referencing order number 1535570088. I scheduled an appointment for Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 4:00 PM. On my way to the store around 3:30 PM, I called to see if I could bring my car in earlier. The gentleman I spoke with indicated that the schedule was fully booked and no appointments were available. I reminded him that I had a confirmed appointment for 4:00 PM on December 4, 2024. Upon my arrival at the store around 4:02 PM, I spoke with him in person. He reiterated that he could not find any record of my appointment and that the store was fully booked. I expressed my disbelief that there were no tires or appointments under my name, especially since Nick had called me on Tuesday to confirm my order. It was disheartening to encounter such unprofessionalism from one employee, as it can negatively impact the reputation of the business. On Thursday, December 5, 2024, Nick followed up to inquire why I had missed my appointment. I shared my experience with him, expressing my confusion over how a business could operate with such a lack of professionalism. I appreciated Nick's thoroughness and patience before I placed my order, but I was left feeling uncertain about returning for service. After some reflection, I realized that I should not allow one negative experience to overshadow the overall service I received from Nick.

Excellent overall experience, was initially responding to a great B2G2 offer from Kumho, but since my G37s requires different sizes between front and rear, was ineligible for deal. However, Thomas and Nick found an awesome set from BF Goodrich at slightly higher price. Tires arrived and installation completed quickly during Thanksgiving week. We never felt pressured to spend more than was necessary. The on-line appointment system could use some improvement since it may let you schedule a service time that is not accurate. As tourists passing through, we had a flat tire on a Sunday. We were told it would take 2-3 hours and after 2 and a half hours our tire was fixed. That was super convenient! I dropped off my vehicle and was told it would be about an hour wait, so I took the time to walk to some nearby shops. After exactly an hour I was out the door ready to go! The two gentleman at the front desk were extremely friendly, helpful, and thanked me a couple times for choosing Pep Boys! I was also offered Military Discount, though they had a better coupon for my oil change that I used. The prices are very competitive with the surrounding shops, Pep Boys is some of the best priced services around! I highly recommend this Pep Boys for great service and prices all around.
