Melissa is the best. I went into the store twice today and she helped me both times. The second time I needed a particular brand of paint remover and she explained all the hazards around using that product and suggested some other needed items. She even went and got them for me. Wow, talk about customer service. We chatted for a few minutes about customer service urged me to use my military discount. The woman at the checkout also clarified the use of the military discount and the store rewards. I had misunderstood the use of the military discount and coupons you get in the mail. Everytime I walk into the store I am greeted and asked if I need help with anything. When I have questions there is always someone close by to help. The staff at this store truly make me feel like a valued customer. Thank you.

I am a multiple home owner and business owner here in Visalia.And I was told that as long as the store sold it and was installed it would be price matched.I get there and I'm treated very rudely.By the manager and he allows the other people that work there to interrupt him and introject very unprofessional when I ask to speak or get an email or a good way of contact to the headstore manager or owner, he gave me a card and told me that I needed to just call these random numbers on the back. I said, isn't this a chase? He said well, this is the best way to go about it. He didn't even write the guy's name on the card until I insisted prior to coming into the store. This has happened a few times I call and ask if it's in the store. They say no, but it says it's on the website. So then you show up and it's there. They have no ability to actually help the customer. And it continues to be a problem. I really wish the store owner would unfortunately fire the Managers . The actually, he doesn't care at all and he acts very lackadaisical and not bothered,pushing people feeling away because his bad energy is projected onto them as well when I came in the store, I had a backpack on because a lot of stores don't give out plastic. I said I'm here to buy something at the front desk.They insisted that I give them my backpack.This is not china , this is america then he insists I should order off of him when it clearly says I can order it to the store or to my house for 9 dollars less, you would think in the world. We live in right now. The manager would have enough emotional consciousness. And intelligence to actually say Hey, sir. Will price match. You will help you please keep coming back. Reoccurring revenue is better than one purchase I would think I don't know, I guess that's why when you go in the store it's literally empty. Bad. Customer service reflects bad management

We were charged an overage due to a system glich on a coupon and the next day we received a phone call letting us know that they would gladly refund us this error, they didn't have to call or even acknowledge that the error existed, we had not caught it ourselves. We shop this store often, great customer service and Honest management.

I love this store. It's the perfect size, I don't feel overwhelmed when I come in looking for things. It's easy to find what you are looking for. All of the employees are incredibly friendly , knowledgeable and helpful. The prices are about the same as the big stores and even if something is a dollar or two more , it is worth it. I have bought wonderful plants from their garden center, holiday decorations, and and different things for home improvement projects. I really like their "Ben" from Benjamin Moore brand paint, it is a really nice quality paint for a great price. You can even order online and pick up or have delivered. I loved the online pickup It helped me save a lot of time when I needed to come grab my supplies in the middle of a project. If you're a homeowner doing your weekend projects this is the best place!

I got profiled as soon as I entered the store because I had a mini backpack. I carry my epi pen, which is a medical device. I can't leave it in my car. The person at the door, Nate, asked the manager Kelly, and she said I couldn't come in. I told her about my epi pen, and she just ignored me. People use mini backpacks as purses, a lot of companies sell them as well. I prefer to do all my shopping at small businesses, but I will not return to this Ace. I will not put my life at risk for a local store that profiles its customers.

Great hardware. Helpful employees! Yesterday, I went to a big box that starts with L, as it is within 3 min of my house. But 20 min later, no help to find a particular light... left and drove to ace hardware. Employee met me at the door, asked how he could help. Found the correct light, had some extra keys made and out the door in 10 min. Great experience, not messing with big box again. The cost was less too!!! Driving to Ace from now on..... thank you

The reason for the 3 stars is solely because of one employee, everyone else was fantastic. I’ll start with the good. We came in around 6:40 tonight just for firewood. The man who greeted us was extremely helpful. He asked us what we needed, he found the item, and even brought us a cart. Everyone we ran into said hello and made sure we were being helped. That is until we ran into Madeline. Madeline was at the register without a customer and another employee was helping a customer at the register. So my husband and I stood in line and waited until someone was ready to check us out. Well Madeline kept rudely looking at my husband while not even telling us she was ready nor did she wave us over. He finally said “oh are you open?” And again instead of using her words she acknowledged him with a condescending look. We walked over there, she scanned all our items again without saying a single word to us then finally told us our total. My husband hands her his card and she slams it on the card reader as if trying to prove a point that we could’ve done it ourselves. He apologized and said he didn’t see the machine but all she did was hand him the card and receipt AGAIN without saying a word. She was incredibly rude and I understand if she was having a bad day but that doesn’t mean she needs to take it out on the customers.

All I wanted was Hose Clamps.. They sent me to Isle 4 to DIE.. There was a Guy in the back Counting a Box of 10,000 Washers.. So he was too busy to Help me.. So the BEST Help they gave me was Directions to Lowe's as I was walking out the Door..!!

Went in today to get more string for my weedwacker. Ran into a great guy who's family used to own a lawnmower company. So helpful and loaded new string on the weedwacker for me! You just don't expect that courtesy and service! Walked out with a big smile on my face.

The staff here are fantastic. I was greeted at the door and they got someone to help me right away. I had a thorny hardware issue that needed an urgent fix and Tom came up with a great and cost-effective solution to get me back up and running right away. If you need advice as well as parts and don't want to just be pointed in the direction of an aisle, this is the place to go in Visalia and Tulare.
