I received very excellent service at Midas in Salinas California on John Street. Robert really explained thoroughly work that needed to be done to my vehicle. The brakes and rotors were replaced within a few hours. My vehicle was ready to be picked up.! Thank you for your excellent service

Based on recent price comparisons with other auto repair shops for a recent auto repair need, I can respectfully say that prices for their services are a bit on the higher side. I did end up getting my car repaired at this Midas shop as I was was on personal time limitations; also this shop was conveniently located for me. The staff was both friendly and professional ✨️

Service took longer than expected especially for an oil change. The whole process seemed sketchy, the individual doing the service on the car kept walking back and forth to the gentleman in the front like if he didnt know what to do saying my car was leaking coolant. Recently went to my local mechanic shop when i returned to town because of the leak which is weird since i never had an issue before the oil change, they let me know someone tampered with one of the coolant hoses to make it seem like the car was damaged . Midas in Salinas is a scamming business, be careful taking your vehicle in. They will make a small mess up and tell you somethings wrong with your car that they had nothing to do with it. Don't bring your car to this location!!!!

Robert needs a tad bit help with his customer service. I had talked to him over the phone gave him my car info and confirmed a price. Once i got there he gave me another price. In the most rudest tone ever. He did mention it was a 3hr wait as well which is no problem but that attitude made me leave and false prices

I was unfortunately 10 minutes late to my appointment and then told rudely by the employee at the counter that I would have to wait another 2 hours then. I WAS a repeat customer and I understand that being late is unfortunate but to be rude about it and telling me to leave since I was upset is totally unprofessional.

Use to be a good place to get oil changes. Pricing much better than dealerships. Recently had an oil change and service tech handed me back my keys and said nothing to me. No customary thank you. What made it worse, was after getting in my car the steering wheel was oily. So tech obviously didn't bother to wipe down steering wheel. Even worse was after driving awhile, I noticed a burning smell coming from the engine compartment. I popped the hood and saw fresh oil splattered about. So the tech was sloppy and didn't bother to clean it up. I called the shop back and the manager apologized and said to bring my car back so his tech could clean it up. I didn't have the time and cleaned it up myself, 30 minutes to clean up his mess. I was not happy!

Horrible service! Had a 1:00 appointment to fix a small exhaust leak. Arrived at 12:45 and checked in and was told his manager would be back from lunch. He helped 2 other customers who arrived well past my check in and when I confronted the manager with now being a half hour late, his response was his tech guy just went to lunch? Why make the appointment and then has the nerve to ask me if I want to reschedule? Got it taken care of at All American Muffler in less then 30 minutes for half the price.

Brought my Evoque in for an evaluation that turned out to be a separate issue. They guys were very helpful, courteous and incredibly generous to waive the $85 estimate fee. I even chatted with the mechanic about the issue and where to get it fixed. Couldn’t ask for better service.

I just got my vehicle from Midas. Less than an hour ago. I've decided that I will never go back to this business. There is no proof, I can't prove anything, but I get the gut feeling that they're taking advantage of me. Again, I have no proof. However, every time I go, they always seem to find something completely unrelated to the reason I took the vehicle in. Something that needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Of course, it’s several hundred dollars more!!! Also, I'm not sure what's up with their employees. At best, they have incompetent mechanics/technicians. At worst, they're making purposeful mistakes to get more business. For example, I took my car in for a headlight to be fixed. They did fix the headlight, however once they did that, then the backlight did not work!!?? I took my car in to get an oil change. And when I get home it's smoking from burning oil, I'm not sure why. Same oil change they checked on all the fluids. And they left the cap to the coolant reservoir off!!?? Regardless of whether again it's incompetence, or willful negligence, I will not be going back to this business. Again, I have no proof that this is the case but I just have the gut feeling that they're taking advantage of me. Stupid me for going back more than once!

The location in Salinas is top notch from their work on my vehicle to the staff at the front desk who treat you and talk to you with respect.They take their time to explain to the customer what is going to be performed on your vehicle and they kindly provide suggestions on what your vehicles needs are. Robert is top notch with the respect and with his knowledge of his job/profession. I’ve been a customer here for years and I’ve never been disappointed with their work and hospitality. I am forever a customer at the Salinas location.Please continue with the excellent service.

WORST SERVICE EVER!!!! I took my two Tacoma’s and I received horrible service. My 2005 Tacoma was given back to me with oil stain on the interior and when I called them out on it they took no responsibility. So, now I have a stained interior thanks to Maids. Never returning to this shitty place. If you can go somewhere and pay extra do so. Save yourself the stress and headache. Also, when I took my 2019 Tacoma I took it for an oil change and tire rotation & only the oil change was done because Midas didn’t have the tools. Robert the manager told me “it’s yours responsibility to bring the tools to do the tire rotation” what kind of mechanic shop runs a shop without the proper tools??? It’s unprofessional coming from a so called manager to not have the proper equipment and telling a customer to bring tools when I’m already paying for a service and not getting the full service and still getting charged full price for a half ass job! Took them 2 hours to do a simple oil change when they told me it was only taking an hour. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MECHANIC SHOP!

I would’ve given them five stars because the service was great, they honored a coupon even though I forgot it, it ended up being cheaper than I was told I would pay when I called to make the appt. They were nice and friendly and let me change my appt when i was running late. My only complaint was they accidentally charged my debit card $599.99 instead of 59.99 , it was the weekend , my sons is visiting and it’s going to take about 10 days to get my money refunded, leaving me flat broke in the meantime. The guy was so busy chatting when he rung me up and wasn’t paying attention . I realized it when i could not put gas in my car and had to turn around and go back. So now I’m screwed on money for almost two weeks and they just said “sorry, we can’t help you!, so now all my plans that i had for my sons visit is ruined and i don’t even have money for food!

I recently got my brakes done at Midas and while I did have to bring my car back a couple of times to get everything fully resolved, the staff was extremely courteous and professional each time. Complete Sham! Clearly explained the make, model of the vehicle and what we wanted done. Quoted $349.00. Made an appt. for days later. Subsequently, quoted a “slight increase” in the estimate. $688.00! Ridiculous and unprofessional! Huge waste of time!
