On December 23, 2021, I took my wife's 2008 Honda Accord to this car wash. I paid for a wash called the Works. This included vacuuming and drying the car with hand towels after exiting the wash. It was a very cold day on 12/23/21. Upon returning home to Shavertown, I noticed very hard white spots on the trunk, rear window, and back of the roof. As a retired chemist, I knew what had happened. The car had not been wiped down thorughly enough to remove any residual soap. A combination of the temperature and the wind had frozen those soap spots into hardened white soap spots on the surface of the vehicle. I tried to use a blow dryer to soften them to no avail. I then poured boiling water on them to soften them but that didn't help. I then called the car wash and spoke to Ron the manager. He told me over the phone that he was sorry this had happened and the next time I come in, they would provide me with a complimentary "Deluxe" car wash . I immediatelky wrote down his name and that statement on the receipt and have kept it on my bulletin board. During the conversation, he never mentioned any sort of expiration date for the offer. He told me to call in advance before coming in so that he would have enough staff for the "Deluxe" wash. Today I called him to arrange for the Deluxe wash. I explained the situation which he repeatedly said he did not recall. He then became somewhat agitated that I had waited 7 months to arrange for this wash. What does it matter that 7 months passed by? How is that relevant to the original complaint! I reminded him that he never specified any sort of expiration but he kept reitrating that a 7 month wait was unacceptable and implied that I was trying to get something for nothing! Not wanting to debate the issue anymore, I told him to forget it and the conversation ended abruptly. He just lost me as a customer. Please frequent a car wash other than McCarthy Car Wash on Kidder St., Wilkes-Barre, PA.

McCarthy always does a nice job on my truck. Almost as good as I do myself, but sometimes don't have the time to. Staff is always friendly and after 10 washes you get a free wash. In my opinion the best car wash in town.

Was WAY overdue to clean the inside and outside. They did a tremendous job. Someone commented " is that a new car". I said no, I just had it cleaned by McCarthy's. Kudos to your super friendly staff and keep up the great work.

I just paid for the full service wash just to see trash in my back seat that wasn't removed. This is when I'm told that to have trash removed from my car I would need to get a detail. Yet i still have crumbs in my seat then whoever vacuumed the car put the napkin that was on the floor onto the seat. Genius. Needless to say, my business will be going elsewhere. No way I should have to pay $100+ just have my car dried properly and to have a napkin removed from my floor. Pathetic.

The cleaning inside was very poor. Only thing done were the windows. Dust on the dashboard and dirt marks on the doors inside. Not to blame the young man there because he was by himself working. This is on the company

I had my car washed today. The windows are dirtier than they were when I came in. They don't wipe the top edge of the windows either. There windshield is horrible. I will have to re-wash. The floors never got vacuumed as I paid for. No pride in the work being done. I tried to call for a few hours after. Nobody picks up.

Went today to get my car washed - cause this is where I go. Surprise!!! No more phone number to check in on their little thinggy to add up the car washes you have. They cancelled this, do not know why???? And, they did not have a record of my previous car washes.!!!!! SO, no free be that I had in. LOST IT!! Plus, the ones (3) I had extra. They are giving a free car wash for your birthday??? Mine in in Oct. So I wait.... DO NOT LIKE!!

Have been going there for nearly 20yrs. But now done. Had something in my car before car wash, gone after car wash. It was always in same place with no chance of falling and no reason for it to be gone. It didn’t walk away. Did call when i reached home just in case someone moved it for some unknown reason, since it was a spot never cleaned by them and it had been there since purchase nearly a year ago and barely used. Long battery life only used occasionally cuz i don’t smoke in my car. So beware. I did search car and under seats. Just gone.

Best car wash in the valley. When it comes to my vehicles I have tried them all and McCarthys is by far the best. Not to mention Ron the manager and Jonathan who goes above and beyond making sure our vehicles look like brand new. They pay close attention especially inside. And you cannot beat the price with there wash plans.

Had my car detailed two weeks ago & the inside smells like mold. Tried calling several times, no one answered. Once I could get through to someone I was told I should’ve brought it back when I first noticed the smell (I was waiting it out to see if it would go away. Also, couldn’t get ahold of anyone last week) & when I said I did try calling sooner their answer was “well we were here” & received no help regarding the smell after paying $200 for the detail package. Take your car somewhere else

Took my truck in today for the economy wash. I wasn't expecting it to be wiped down. Knowing this, I didn't expect there to be soap dripping down the window's and all over the mirrors. I'm not sure who the guy was that was on his phone and in a hurry to pull my truck out because there wasn't anyone else working the end of the wash. When I walked up to my truck I saw the soap and asked the guy for a rag, so I could wipe the soap off, and he went into a dissertation, with an attitude, about how they don't wipe down the vehicle. At that point I got into my truck and left. The rear window is never cleaned whether I pay for the works or not! I have been a customer for over 20 year's and the service has continued to decline. So sad.

Ever since the Military Veteran passed away that I absolutely loved he was the manager they do a terrible job. I go there once a month and they can’t even vacuum right they don’t wipe down the inside of the vehicle. I have to do it when I get home they used dirty rags on the outside of my window, which fogged my window, and by the way, I tip very well. I’m very disappointed in this place get some workers that actually care.

Brought in my 1991 Corvette and explained in detail what I was looking for and assured it could be done. I got it fully detailed on the outside and it looked like something. I could’ve done in my driveway by myself. I contact them the very next day to let them know I wasn’t happy and I was told I had to bring it in the next morning at 8 o’clock because the owner was only there for a little bit of time in the morning. There was no follow up with me. I’ll never go there again.

Smh!!! It’s safe to say I will never go here again. I really thought hey, its a car dealership as well, they about to clean clean my car. These the after pics of my car being cleaned 🤦🏽‍♀️ I don’t recommend this place at all. Oh! And this was the service of the Deluxe Package what a joke 🤦🏽‍♀️ NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

I got bad experience this place I do have my monthly plan unlimited was $45. I asked the lady can you wash my mat sis said no we have to charge dollars I spent $45 every month for my one car. I have two cars at least see how to take care of the customer you rob the people that’s all means right not good service they have to take a lovely customer who spend the money per month you know
