Jack and his team are miracle workers! I was recently caught in a Tahoe snow storm and learned on the side of a mountain how to put snow chains on but didn't do a very good job. The chains scrapped up the sides of my cars really bad, completely removing the paint in some places. I decided to go by Lombard Auto Body for a consultation because their ratings were great and they were close by. I'm VERY glad I did! The guys here took great care of me, helping me through the insurance claim process, letting me keep the car at the shop and working with my claims adjuster to help them understand the damage and work to be performed and got my car returned very fast. I came back to the shop not knowing what to expect, wondering whether I'd be able to tell where the sides had been repainted, etc. The sides look better than they did when I brought it in! While I hope not to need Jack and his crew too much, I know where I'll go whenever I have auto body issues.

Had my car broken into and the dealers in town charged 4x the price to fix the window. Not only that but Jack got my car in and out in less than a day! My car has never looked better and I feel much safer knowing the time and effort that went into fixing my window as well as cleaning out the glass on the inside!!! Would go back here any day.

Our car got broken into while we we're tourist in San Francisco. The burglars broke the driver window and stole stuff from the car. Mr. Jack Chew (owner or manager) was super nice to us, repair our glass in a very timely manner, and we were able to continue with our traveling. Highly recommended!!

I have had 3 5-Star experiences at Lombard Auto Body. Obviously, it is never a good thing if you are headed to an Auto Body shop, but Jack and his team make the experience extremely easy and they are VERY timely. Not only do they take care of paperwork and helping to call and facilitate communication with your insurance company, but they do an AMAZING job at the body work (multiple experiences) and clean your car afterwards. Thanks to Jack and team for the 3rd time, I couldn't forgive myself if I didn't take 2 minutes to leave a positive review!

Lombard Auto Body is hands down the best auto shop I’ve ever used. In a major pinch, I had to get a friend’s car fixed fast. Jack called me back at 11pm to get me in first thing the next day, and he put Marvin on the job. Marvin - a miracle worker - fixed a pretty nasty scratch and dent and made the car look brand new. The prices were incredibly fair and transparent. Jack, Marvin, and receptionist Nikki took a panic-filled, urgent situation and went above and beyond. I originally found them through Google Reviews so I felt compelled to write one myself — they deserve all the praise. If ever you need a car fixed, bring it here. You will be met with great service and amazing work. Thank you Jack and team for A-PLUS care.

He helped me navigate the insurance company (who frequently wouldn't call me back) and did a stand-up job when it came to body work, oil changes, etc. He was always very helpful and never talked down to me or assumed I didn't know what was going on with my own car (which happens more than one would hope). I paid Jack $450 at Lombard Auto Body to have two new headlight assemblies installed on my Toyota 4Runner. Within a few hours, he told me my car was ready for pickup. After I picked up my car and brought it home, I noticed that my fog lights no longer worked. Also, the new headlights were not properly aimed and there were 4 missing retainer clips for the fan belt shroud, presumably an important safety feature. I contacted Jack that same day. Instead of asking me to return my car so they could complete the job I paid him to do, Jack claimed that they checked the fog lights and they were working, which was false. Once I finally convinced him that my eyes did not deceive me, he then demanded I pay an additional $1,800 (4 hours at $450!? per hour) to replace a "Can Bus". Huh? Or alternatively, Jack said I could pay him an additional $250 to have them install a separate fog light switch somewhere in my car to work the fog lights. Jack told me multiple times that their shop rate is $450 per hour. I pointed out to Jack that ChatGPT suggested checking the fuse, but he wasn't interested in doing that. In fact, Jack wasn't interested in doing anything unless I paid him an additional $1,800 for a "Can Bus" or $250 for a separate fog light switch which he would install somewhere in my car. Long story short, I fixed the fog lights he broke by replacing the fuse, per ChatGPT. Then I contacted the headlights seller to figure out how to properly aim the headlights and did that (total hassle). I then ordered 50 retainer clips from Amazon (they cost $0.17 each) and reinstalled the fan belt shroud which needed to be removed to install and aim the headlights. That's right, Jack couldn't be bothered to spend $0.68 (4 x $0.17) to replace and install the 4 missing fasteners holding down the fan belt shroud, presumably an important safety guard. I told Jack I wanted a $200 credit for the wasted time, hassle and lies, but never heard back. I will update this review if he ever pays me back.

Ultimately, it's the people who make or break a business, their customer service skills, sincerity, and the people I encountered at this establishment, Lombard Auto Body epitomized what it means to practice, exhibit such skills, they went far and beyond in their consideration and accommodation, especially Jack Chew and Nehi. I am from Santa Cruz and I had to take care of some business in San Francisco, unfortunately my car broke down so I had arranged for the tow truck to take it to an auto repair shop close by that was recommended by my insurance company, however when I arrived at the auto shop they said that there was a misunderstanding and that they had no openings that day and could possibly work on it in a day or two, but they mentioned that they shared the building with an auto body shop company upstairs and that sometimes they take on repairs, so they called upstairs and within a minute about 3 staff members came down and started looking at the car, asking me questions, and not in an aggressive way, they all seem to have a gentle energy about them, I point this out because the hustle and bustle of the environment, I found it to be quite the contrast. They told me to leave the car there and that they would check it out and get back to me when they had something to tell me, a short time later Jack called me with a few scenarios, but all of them involved keeping the car for at least a couple of days, I had already considered renting a car and just resigning myself to leaving the car there and come back when it was ready, then Jack asked if I had AAA, which I didn't, (but I do now, strongly recommended), because they could tow the car back to Santa Cruz for me to my own mechanic and I wouldn't have to worry about coming back to pick it up, when I told him I did not have AAA he offered to use his company AAA account to have it towed to Santa Cruz for me. I am so appreciative for their thoughtfulness, consideration, and Nehi offered to give me a ride to the rent a car place, just really good people, they're the type of people who remind you of the beauty of humanity.
