Stopped by Jiffy Lube, Delmar this morning for an state inspection. I was greeted by a pleasant fellow named Micah. He had a friendly and outgoing personality. He quickly helped me get signed in and then escorted me to the waiting room. I mentioned to Micah that my inspection sticker was obstructing my view and to please have the technician put the new sticker in a different spot on the windshield. I was pleasantly surprised to see that done when my car was ready. Good Job Jiffy Lube!

This place rocks - great staff, clear explanations of what they did and what was found, prompt service. I came here for a NYS vehicle inspection - just transferred my truck registration. Jiffy Lube in Delmar did the inspection almost as soon as I arrived, did not try to upsell me (but did offer services), and were highly professional. I will be back to this location.

Today I took my car for an oil change at the Delmar location. I have used jiffy lube for many years and was always satisfied with the service and how I was treated. Today was different. I forgot my phone and when I paid the invoice and was not credited the 25$ coupon. I drove home got my phone and returned to the store. There I was told that he would not credit me for the coupon. This all took place within an hour time and I will never return to jiffy lube.

Your price listed for the service gets changed when he brings it up. There’s a five dollar fee for the filter and a $10 shop supplies. None of that is indicated on your website or your advertisement . The technician was kind enough to put in a couple of codes to get me a discount, but it should not be required. They also said they filled up my windshield washer fluid as soon as I got down the road the light came on.

They did technically resolve my issue, but at a considerable cost of my time and money. I brought my car in because the battery kept needing a recharge, and I also requested an oil change. The oil change was as expected, although they chose the priciest oil when I asked for their recommendation. For the battery problem, I specifically wanted to know if the battery was the cause. After 40 minutes, they told me the battery was bad but they were still testing the alternator. I told them to stop, as the source of the problem was supposedly found. Then, after a 20-min ute wait for the battery to be delivered, I received a $550 bill. This included the most expensive battery and a $100 charge based on my own online estimate. I wish they had been more considerate in their decisions. This experience felt neither convenient nor worth the cost. I'll be seeking out real mechanics moving forward.

Personally, this was my first time getting my inspection done on my own. I believe his name was Michael who helped me tremendously with understanding how this process works and what to do. I had an oil change for my vehicle and was disappointed with the service this time. Tasks that were done in the past were skipped. No one asked me which oil I preferred, and there was a lack of communication like in previous visits. Tire pressure wasn't checked as it used to be. There was absolutely no communication from the service staff. Very strange, and I won’t be using Jiffy Lube anymore. They didn't even check off the check engine light. I drove in and paid for the service in less than 10 minutes. No communication. No one asked about the oil I wanted to use. No check on air filters. I left with an $ 80.00 plus bill at the end. I will be utilizing a private mechanic from here forward.

The store opened 5 minutes late even though the employees were there for 20 minutes. They over charged me on my state inspection by putting in my old car in the system instead for my new car. New cars inspection are only 9 bucks. The floors were never mopped from the night before. There were coffee stains all over the floor and the rugs weren’t swept.

I went to Jiffy Lube/Hoffmans in Delmar for oil change and inspection. Micah was very friendly and professional. They offered some additional services, but were not pushy like some of these types of places can be. They even suggested I skip the tire rotation after taking a look at them which would have been an additional charge and they added a bunch of coupons to save me more money. It wasn't too busy and they had me in and out pretty quickly. I was very satisfied with the service and the price with coupons was very reasonable. Thanks Micah and Jiffy Lube!

I spoke with Mark on the phone about my check engine light- he WAS VERY accommodating, and conscious. Never anytime pushy, but very practical and pragmatic about what may be needed! Great shop/service. I would give 5 stars, but no one’s perfect. Maybe next time 😄

From start to finish I received excellent service! I got there just after 5pm on a Sunday and asked for an oil change. Micah met me at my car, took some information and then helped me get my stroller out of the car, and carried the diaper bag into the lobby and held the door for me. There were complimentary chilled water bottles too! The oil change was pretty quick and the gentleman that ran the transaction told me to look for a better coupon when I tried to hand him a $15 off coupon. When I couldn’t find what I was looking for he discounted $30 and I got a free car wash.

My wife went to Jiffy Lube to get an inspection. As soon as she pulled out onto Delaware Ave. the check engine light came on, and the car was stalling every time it stopped. I pulled the codes and it was running lean, which made me suspect a vacuum leak. When I opened the hood, I was surprised to find that Jiffy Lube had not reconnected the air intake hose after checking the air intake filter, or perhaps tightened it so loosely that it popped off? This created an unsafe driving situation that is unacceptable. Her car also failed inspection, which I obviously don’t blame Jiffy Lube for however, they simply said rear brakes as the reason for failing and gave no details as to what deficiency they found in the rear brakes. A more detailed reason would have been helpful, but I guess our mechanic will find the problem. Update: Jiffy Lube manager contacted me, apologized and appreciated the feedback. Hopefully they addressed the issue. Updated to 2 stars.
