I’ll let you in on what happened, I live in Pittsburgh PA and rented from the downtown location, when my car was ready I dropped it off at the location I was told to, called them and picked my own car up. They left the rental where i picked up my car from for a whole week and said I still had it, so they tried to charge me $219 but instead they charged me $419. That was in the beginning of October. I contacted the store where it happened and was run around for a couple of days, they’re very disorganized. I had to get my insurance company on the phone with them along with the place where I had my car fixed (where I was told to drop the rental off) to prove to them it was a mistake on their end. They refunded me the $200 on the a few days later because it was a glitch and they said it would take up to 10 business days before I would get the rest. When my refund never came I called them back and they told me it was out of their hands and to call customer service if I wanted to. When I call them I find out that they never even filed for a refund, can you understand why I’m so upset? This place is so un organized and because of them I had to pay late fees because I didn’t have access to the money that should have been in my account in the first place. I finally got the other refund on October 30th, 24 days after the incident happened.. it wasn’t even for the full amount, I had to contact customer service again to get the remaining. I plan on never using Hertz in the future.

Do not trust this location. I rented a vehicle and was told to return it by close of business (5pm) on the drop off date. I returned the vehicle before 5pm but was charged for an extra day. When I called about the additional charge, I was told that the vehicle needed to be returned by 12:30 p.m. I explained to both the location and Hertz billing that I was told, more than once, to just have it back by 5:00 p.m. Both were unhelpful and unwilling to remove the extra charge. They are either incompetent or outright deceitful. Either way, I would not rent from this location.

Staff was friendly and renting the car itself was easy. However, when I was hit with an unexpected toll charge a couple of weeks later and called the store, I spoke w/ a certain Kyle who was both rude and unhelpful. Otherwise would've been a good overall experience.

I was treated very well but manager specials are tesla electric cars which do not go very far. You have to find a special charger for them and it takes at least an hour. DO NOT PLAN A LONG TRIP UNLESS YOU PLAN STOPPONG PLACES FOR AWHILE.. I was out in a field in Erie Pa charging with no one around. Left without a full charge because it was getting dark.

Reserved a car gave me a smaller vehicle that needed serviced. Did not do a complimentary walk around. Rims busted up, emblems missing of tires, tire light would not go off and they would not put me in another vehicle even though they had them available. Said nothing was wrong with the one they gave me.

Hours on hold, website doesn't work for renewals and when you call this store directly to speak with an agent you get hung up on without actually being pushed through to an agent. They also don't accept car returns on weekends?!?! So you're screwed if traffic and accidents hold you up and you're late.. you have to eat the fee becsuse you can't call or extend online. absolutely garbage service, do not rent from here.

BEWARE - This HERTZ Facility will charge your credit card and will not reimburse you for charges....very unethical. Body by Cochran did repairs on my vehicle - authorized and paid for the rental while my car was being repaired. HERTZ was clearly advised that I was not to be billed for anything - I was. The Hertz manager, Christopher Wagner never addressed the issue - was very rude and unprofessional - - the worst customer service experience - SHAME ON YOU HERTZ!

Limited selection and the car they gave me could've used a good vacuum job. That said the staff were very helpful, professional, and polite. They quickly adjusted my rate after informing me that they didn't have any mid-size vehicles and had to give me a compact.

Rented a car for 3 days, Wednesday through Friday. When I picked up the car and inquired about their after hours return policy, employee #1 said there is no drop box at this location and to just return the car first thing the next business day. They are closed on weekends, so the next business day was the following Monday. When I returned the car first thing Monday morning, employee #2 charged me for 6 days, plus a late return fee. That's the last time I'll ever rent from Hertz.

So disappointing! I'm from Texas, needed a car and trusted Hertz. They pulled twice from my credit card but stated that nothing reflected on there side. Credit Card Rep verified but "Manager" continued to disagree. I understood his process so I asked if I could use my debit card. He said no, I was willing to pay but no courtesy was offered. He just continued to say my card was rejected and no payment was made on there side. Now I'm out $1000.00 till about 5-7business days and no vehicle. Sad thing is I understood the process and still willing to pay but Hertz is about Hertz and not about helping the customer.

The mediocre review really isnt on this location but on hertz itself. They rented a brand new vehicle to me 9/25 & i picked it up. 2 hrs before it was due to be returned a drunk driver hit me head on in a very rural area at a high rate of speed. First thing I did was call here to let them know the car was obliterated & the 1st responders on scene said it had lost 93% 😁 of its value in the crash! U would think the counter agent would have at least been able to get the car taken OUT of inventory. It took 2 days to get it (salvage) towed to Hertz scrap yard at PIT airport. There was no directions given to the tow on where to drop it so we rode around the airport almost an hr before we found the scrap heap by accident! Airport construction had removed all the signs!! So I go inside the location & fill out the paperwork. Theyre nice saying "dont worry about it, its good your okay"... Guy said he closes out the rental since its returned to him. So I go on my way then next day an overseas call ctr worker calls me and says "im late returning the rental and she will have to suspend my rental privileges!" SO, i say a few choice words and tell her shes welcome to pull the accident report on file dated yesterday and head out to PIT airport Hertz salvage lot and do what she needs to do!😁. Not my problem shes overseas & cant get there! That was that. Shes like have a nice day sir.

Thus is a convenient location (right outside of downtown on Fifth ave) and the person at the store was very hard at work checking cars, moving them into the car wash, and checking people in and out. The only problem with this location is the rental cars get pooped on all the time due to power lines over the parking lot and bird pooping over the parking lot. They said they do try to keep the cars clean but the birds be pooping on them all the time. Otherwise the rental we received from them was clean inside and drove well. Please note, this location does not have overnight drop off. You must return the vehicle during opening hours.

Everything was going good until we returned the car. We returned the car on time. And asked the Hertz staff several times that “is that all I should do” and she replied with very rudely “Yes! That’s all you may go”. After the bill sent, I realized that it is charged 1 extra day. The staff is really irresponsible! No cares about you even you have a proof for returning the car on time! And also you cannot get support from the customer service. Never ever gonna use Hertz for renting car.

I stopped in about a week or so before I needed the rental to get some information They gave me a price for a vehical at that time of $50. I went in on the Friday to reserve a vehicle for Monday morning. When I talked to him then he told me $69. I went back to Enterprise because I dealt with them in the past and they never switched on me. At that point I couldn't trust Hurst so I didn't want to take a chance for anything further.

Probably the best prices around for rentals. Always tons of deals. It was extremely simple to book online and literally we were in and out the door within 5 minutes. I highly recommend this place, workers have always been very nice, cars are clean and well kept and again, the prices are definitely the best around!

I don’t know who specifically I spoke with, but it was a gentleman who was not pleasant. I called to confirm my reservation and I don’t know if it was due to the early morning call but I was greeted with an attitude during the conversation. I was trying to gain clarification of how the rental process would work And he seem to be annoyed with the information needed to assess my reservation. I wish that customer service was actually a skill used in the process to discuss my reservation. I understand that that everybody’s a warning person or. It may have been a bad start to the day, but that does not excuse poor behavior when it comes to attitude. That was by for the rude experience. I’ve had in a long time and I highly do not recommend using the services at this location for any future endeavors. I canceled my reservation and took my business elsewhere. Please be weary of the confrontation. I may lie ahead when using their services.
