Came in to browse, but I didn't see anything I needed. Not too busy when shopping before noon. We came to purchase a drain cleaner, but they were out. Called another HF and picked one up. The shopping experience was seamless. Thank you.

The employees at Harbor Freight went above and beyond to assist me with finding a rear cargo carrier and the tools needed to install it. They also showed me how it worked and how to install it. I got the carrier on, in the parking lot, and one helpful gentleman assisted to show how to install it. I would return to this store just from how helpful and dedicated to customer service everyone was, at this location.

I love saving money on tools and supplies for my metal shop! And the stores offer extended warranty on them which has definitely come in handy when something i bought failed. they replaced it no questions asked! I got some free things like batteries and a flashlight using a coupon. getting little freebies each visit is like telling me THANKS for being a customer!

This place reminds me of....just about every Harbor Freight I've been to! Lol....I bust me up !.......but seriously ...what makes for a great shopping experience? That's right....the staff! And, in the 12 years I've been shopping the Vallejo store I can honestly say that even though they have a.low, slow turnover they generally maintain knowledgeable and friendly stuff, the store is clean and well stocked....(except for when they have a parking lot sale.....not once have they EVER had any parking lot of any size or type in stock) .

I get it ! You deal with a lot of customers but will it kill ya to put a smile on your face and greet some folks every once in awhile. Not the most friendly staff but they were helpful in guiding me in the right direction to find an orbital sander. Store was clean and well maintained. Isles and shelves were fully stocked.

It’s a typical HF with all the same Bauer, and other house brand HF products you are used to. What sets this store apart is the rude employee who refused to allow me access to one of the two restrooms because allegedly it is for “employees only” even though no signage indicates that and it is the most obvious restroom in the store. The other restroom was occupied for at least 20 minutes by some guy who barely beat me to it. The “employees only” restroom was also occupied, so I waited, and waited, and then an employee who apparently works in the storeroom comes slinking out and pulls the door shut quickly to prevent any access. I asked if I could use one (the one he is exiting) because from a customer standpoint they are identical, right next to each other, and in the main showroom area. This is when he told me I would just have to wait for the other guy, who is clearly in the restroom watching a show loudly on his phone. I said, that guys been in there forever, can I just use this one and he turned and walked away without a word. I was shocked at this ridiculous policy of reserving a restroom just for your employees when HF clearly meant that restroom to be for everyone. If the employee hadn’t been so rude this wouldn’t really be a big deal but this place has seen a steady decline in customer service for years. This is the last straw. This has been my go to stop on the way to work but there is a Tractor Supply also on my way, with very nice employees and clean restrooms. So long, HF.

Suggestion: Stop making employees greet people at the door. It’s annoying and not good treatment of your workers.

You have to be smart about what you're shopping for. I got a good deal on a couple of battery tools. Thinking items would work with my other batteries. The deal went out the door when I also found that I had to purchase another charger and battery to work with my new tools!

As a person that likes to DIY, I love the bargains this store provides. Even when I just stop by for tape, I walk the whole store just to see what new deals they may have.

By far Harbor Freight cannot compare to Home Depot & Lowe’s….. But for a small fish in a large pond I don’t care what anyone says Harbor Freight has some great deals & for the most part their hand tools have stood the test of time with me personally!!

I attempted to return a Predator 2000 power station that didn't meet my needs. From the moment I walked in—product visibly in my hands—the manager Austin (tall, bald) immediately said "we can't do that." He hadn't looked up my account or heard my situation. He saw an expensive item and decided on the spot he wasn't going to help me. I had 30 minutes before closing—plenty of time for a simple return. When I persisted, the cashier began looking up my account while Austin stood over her shoulder, ordering her around. He told me it "wasn't going to work." When I asked about returning the funds to my debit card, he repeatedly told me "we don't have the cash." I never asked for cash. I clearly stated multiple times that I wanted the refund returned to my card, which is standard practice. He offered no explanation for why a card refund couldn't be processed, only a gift card. When I asked how returning tomorrow would solve the problem if the issue was my card, he told me I was "not listening"—ironic, since he never once addressed my actual concern or explained what the real issue was. If the problem was that I purchased at a different location, he never said that. I would have gladly driven to my home store. Instead, I was treated like a scammer and dismissed without resolution. I left to avoid an altercation. Austin's behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable—both to me and to his own employee. I hope management addresses this.
