Genie is the only car wash in San Diego that consistently leaves my car clean and shiny. The facility is well-equipped with plenty of space and supplies for vacuuming and detailing. Most importantly, the team goes above and beyond—genuinely great service. Highly recommend.

I stopped by for just a single car wash, but one of the staff members was pretty persistent about selling me a membership. When I politely declined, he didn’t take it too well, which made the experience a bit uncomfortable.

Rinse cycle doesn't get all the suds off but my car has a nice shine and the vacuums are always strong!

My family loves Genie Car Wash. The staff is friendly. Johni is always willing to make a deal for multiple cars. Definitely recommend getting the annual pass if you want to keep your car squeaky clean.

Nice car wash with plenty of places to finish the job (vacuum, etc). Johni and the staff are personable and always helpful.

I think I might cancel my membership soon. My car doesn’t get as cleaned as when I used soapy Joe’s. More often than not there are not enough parking spots afterwards to wipe off your car and vacuum.

If you actually need your car washed-don't go here. If your car needs a touch up- still don't go here because it's way overpriced. I am a committed car washer and wash every two weeks. Your kidding me right?$16 for a SuperWash and my car was still dirty. I had to drive up the street, through a drive through wash at a gas station, pay $7 bucks to actually get the car clean. Not even exaggerating. After paying this capitalistic price surge my mirrors were still dirty, fingerprints were still visible, tire rims were still dustified. To add to the dissatisfaction, the vacuums were powerless. On the upside, located in a shopping plaza. Ample parking. Several entries. Easy to navigate car into the wash hub. There are plenty of vacuum stalls for you to get frustrated. And towels are complimentary. Use plenty of them because you'll still have to wash your car.

Car never clean after wash. A lot of soap left on the car. Management seems to keep it up. Towels don't run out like others.

Disappointing Experience with Genie Car Wash Membership I initially visited Genie Car Wash for a promotional $10 car wash, which seemed like a great deal. However, I was never informed that I was being enrolled in a monthly membership, and I only discovered I had been charged $30 per month several months later. I attempted to resolve the issue by calling and speaking with employees on-site. I was told that the on-site manager could handle membership refunds. However, when I returned to speak with the manager, I was informed there was nothing he could do and that I needed to send an email instead. I sent an email and have been waiting for a response for over three days with no reply. This lack of transparency and poor customer service is very disappointing. Based on my experience, I do not believe this business operates with honesty or integrity. I strongly do not recommend Genie Car Wash. Just read reviews below. There are customers in the similar situation.

I had membership at this place for couple of months and later opt out since I was not using it much, but forgot to remove the sticker from my windshield. I went back there to do onetime wash on Oct 18th, and before I reach the kiosk to make the payment, the manager over there approached my car and accused me of using tampered sticker! he didn't even allow me to reach the kiosk to make the payment. I explained to him that this is just my previous expired tag! he rudely and without asking my permission reached out to my windshield and removed the sticker from my windshield and when I got mad about his behavior, He told me he won't let me to use the carwash.

## One-Star Review for Genie Car Wash I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Genie Car Wash. Despite their claims of being "the most convenient, affordable, and efficient range of services," my Tesla Model 3 suffered significant damage during a routine car wash. *Poor Service and Infrastructure:* - The facility's old infrastructure seems to be the root cause of the problem, as their equipment regularly dents and scratches cars. - Unfortunately, my visit ended with a cracked and broken glass roof, which was unacceptable. *Unhelpful Management:* - When I reported the incident to the facility manager, I was met with a non-empathetic and defensive response. - Instead of taking responsibility and offering a solution, the manager suggested canceling the service, which is not what I'd expect from a reputable business. *Lack of Accountability:* - Given the frequency of issues with dented and scratched cars, it's surprising that Genie Car Wash hasn't taken steps to upgrade their equipment or improve their quality control processes. *Final Verdict:* Considering the damage to my vehicle and the poor handling of the situation, I'm left with no choice but to give Genie Car Wash one star. Unless they revamp their infrastructure and prioritize customer satisfaction, I wouldn't recommend their services to anyone ¹.

DON'T GO HERE. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU A SUBSCRIPTION AND TELL YOU ITS JUST A ONE TIME PAYMENT. I lost over $500 to them because they were charging me for almost 3 years and when I called them to address it, all they said is that they can't refund anything per their policy. I asked them to send me their policy and they never sent it. Horrible management, horrible company. Don't go here.

2022. Updating from 4stars to 5stars. I have tried other car wash places in San Diego and this is by far the most convenient of all of them. The wash is quick and vacuuming is free with ample spaces to wipe down your vehicle at any hour of the day. It’s in a convenient location with a grocery store & are plenty of restaurants around as well. You know you are here when you see Sushi Hana. I highly recommend this location for your car washes. 2020. I like this place. Especially because they provide towels to wipe down your vehicle. I’ll suggest bringing some type of liquid spray just in case you have things in your car you want to wipe down.

The employee standing there fraudulently signed me up for a membership even when I told him no multiple times. Attendant also haphazardly reached in my car and put a sticker that is impossible to come off and leaves residue everywhere. Very dishonest and their website to cancel the membership rejects you every single time so they can continue stealing money from me.

This car wash damaged the front bumper trim on my Range Rover, and when I went back to resolve it, the manager/owner completely refused to help or even provide their insurance information. The customer service here is terrible — instead of standing behind their service, they argue and avoid responsibility. The guys at the gate are extremely pushy and shady, trying to upsell everyone into memberships with high-pressure tactics. I was a member with two cars, but I canceled because of the poor service and lack of accountability. Don’t waste your money here — there are plenty of better, more professional car washes in town.

DON'T GO HERE THEY WILL SCAM YOU. Horrible company. They told me I would get charged a one time fee for a 1 month car wash promo they were doing and they took advantage of my trust and charged me a recurring monthly payment without my knowledge. I called them to address it and the owner completely blew me off and said they won't refund me. I explained the situation to him and asked him if that is what an honest company does, and he couldn't even answer me. Please go elsewhere.

Don't go to this place, they were trying to scam money of of my account. I was going to buy a one time carwash. An employee came up to me and told me to the ten dollars and I would be allowed to wash my car as many times as I wanted for the upcoming month. I agreed and gave him my credit card. The following month I checked my bank account and they charged me $29.99. When I tried to talk to the manager he refunded my money but acted like it was all my own fault. He told me that I purchased a membership, which I never did knowingly. He was very unfriendly and rude to me. He walked away and stopped listening to me while I was trying to explain what happened. If I purchased a membership how come I got charged for the first month $9.99 and for the following month $29.99. Do yourself a favor and check your account how much these people charge you. Or best would be not to do any business with them. They don't even know what customer service means.

How is this place still in business? After they first opened I went there once and ended up with a scratch from one their hoses that had sharp edges. Today I decided to give them another chance. Big mistake! As I was trying to read their different packages the boisterous manager interrupted me, told me to pull forward and went into his talk about the "special family deal" they currently have going on. Pay $10 to go through the car wash twice today and free washes for a month. Sounded great and I handed him my card. He gave me a bunch of pamphlets and receipts followed by "oh by the way please sign here at the bottom". Turns out that last thing he wanted me to sign was an agreement for a monthly $30 subscription that he conveniently had "forgotten" to mention. When I pointed that out he said "no problem" and I didn't sign it. Went through the car wash once and after leaving I noticed that my windshield wipers had been pulled off by the machine. One of the staff went to get the part. At this point the car did not look a lot cleaner than it did before going through. So I asked the manager if I am supposed to go through again. That's when his demeanor changed; since I didn't sign up for their $30 monthly I do NOT get to use the car wash again. I told him that's not what he had originally promised. He became rude and started shouting, telling me to get lost.
