A couple employees are always friendly and helpful, some of management is extremely rude. If you use the DG coupon app like I do, some employees are more than obviously annoyed when you try to coupon in an exact way to save the most money. I've been made to feel embarrassed in front of other customers on more than a few occasions when I've tried to use my coupons. The store is 99% of the time a mess & hard to walk thru. Stock & merchandise is usually in the floor and in the way of products on shelves. They frequently do not properly price items or have them stocked in the correct place.

Has great deal on cleaning products. If you use the online app you can get good deals on brand name detergent and other home products. The Cox Rd store is in organized shape. Some DG stores are scattered and not stocked well.

My bf went there this week and they accused him of stealing because he went to get exact change out of his car while he was at the register. After she confronted him, he took everything out of his pockets and tried to be understanding. She kept saying he went and put whatever he "stole" in his car then came back in. Then she proceeded to be very disrespectfulul and cuss him out! Why would someone steal something but still pay for other items? Why would someone steal something but wait until they got to the register to take it to their car, then come back in and pay for their things? It's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I walked in 2 days after that and they treated me fine. I didn't see the mixed lady that did this to him and it's a good thing I didn't. Just goes to show they are pretentious & profile people based on appearances. Smh. Not to mention the girl who rang up my items did it completely wrong and overcharged me about 15$ that I had to come back and get them to fix it. Never going there again!

Dirty always, under staffed always, excuses for everything that they did not have or was still in the delivery totes. I had the pleasure to visit a Dollar General on Union rd. in Gastonia recently. I was amazed at that store. They were the best I have ever went in. Everything was so clean well stocked and many employees. I did even see 1 delivery tote in the entire store. Our DG is a nasty, hot mess at all times. If they could hire some honest folks to manage, they could possibly be on the way to being an asset to our town and their company.

Instant attitude from the older woman in the store, on May 23 at 11am, when I asked if there was a public restroom. That isn't how polite people communicate, never mind to customers. I will avoid this location in the future.

Store seemed cluttered. Difficult to find items I wanted. Sales associates were busy wirh their own conversations, but did stop for a moment to point to the battery aisle. This is a place I would go to in emergencies only.

Nice people!! Clean store!! Just make sure you wear your mask. If you go in without one they'll ask you to put a mask on. We didn't have any but the lady working let us purchase mask so we could shop!! The other Dollar General the lady was rude about us not having mask... my personal opinion about mask is it should be our choice but that's just my opinion...

They never honored the deals that are listed on the shelf today I came and towels were buy one get one 50% off from February 18 through the 24th. Well today’s the 24th and they wouldn’t honor the deal and this happens quite often at this Dollar General location, especially with drinks. Stop with the false advertisement

The manager (a fair skinned,middle aged african american lady that wears glasses, no name tag) at this location has the most deplorable, toxic and atrocious disposition ever imaginable. She keeps a frown on her face at all times. She snarls and gets angry at you for asking about products and price checks. Is this not her job to expedite friendly and courteous customer service for which she consistently fail to deliver. I beseech you to hold her accountable for her actions. It's definitely a horrible and negative reflection on your place of business. I have sinced been informed of another location and.have shopped there without incident. I

We usually go to this location and there is a nice woman that greets and speaks to everyone. On this day, the two workers didn't have time to stop their personal conversation to speak to any customers. My son had allowance money he wanted to use and I needed cleaning supplies. We were told that we could not use the restroom and that there is no longer a public restroom. We left everything and went to Family Dollar down the street. They greeted us and had a bathroom for their customers.

Entering the store, we had to walk around the manager sweeping and her piles of dust. No stepping aside as we entered or apology or anything. Also witnessed rudeness to a customer asking about why the sale price didn't ring up. Come to find out, an old sign was left up advertising her items and the cashier and manager were very rude about it. Wasn't the customer's fault the sign was left up. No excuse for such behavior. Won't be back to this location.

I stopped by this location with 2 young boys that I care for on a hot Wednesday afternoon. We were buying pool noodles and a pool. The boys were super excited. Everyone in the store was kind to them. My hands were full with the boys so a man went outside to get the biggest pool for us. The woman at the register helped to carry it outside. Unfortunately it did not fit in the back. All of us went back inside to buy tie-downs to put the pool on the roof. The associate asked her coworker if she minded if she helped me put it on top of my car. As we were working on this a kind man who was with an older woman offered to put it in his truck and drive it to the house for us. This trip could have been a disaster but instead it was a successful adventure. Everyone was kind and helpful so these excited boys could enjoy their day. I want to thank each of these helpers. This is going to be a whole summer of fun for these littles due to you!

If I could give it no stars I would… I want to start off by saying that I always have had a pleasurable visit to dollar general. How I decided to take a different route to work and realized i needed a few things so I stopped into the dollar general off of broad st Gastonia I need antifreeze gasoline and I grabbed an air freshener just to spruce up the car a little bit for my for my workday and I ran into the most disgusting attitude from a woman behind the counter. That was just it just made me not wanna ever go there again it totally turned me off to the idea of even going to Dollar General. Well, of course I’m gonna continue to go. The ones where I live because they treat people with respect, but this woman had no respect for herself. That’s why she was treating me as if I with no respect first she says where’s your idea? I said I want to show her an ID that’s part of my that’s part of my safe through the DMV application on my phone and she said she would take that so I said OK that’s fine. I won’t take the cigarettes I was willing to buy the rest of the stuff, but her attitude just made me like how I said you know, man don’t worry about it. I’m going someplace else. I just don’t like your attitude and then she started all you’re just mad cause she don’t get your cigarettes. I wasn’t upset about the cigarettes at all. I just didn’t like her attitude. You don’t treat clients and customers in that manner. I think that she deserves a reprimand and a lesson in respect someone needs to talk to this lady and tell her that you don’t treat clients especially clients that normally shop at the place of business like that she’s like I wasn’t her boss undercover

went here today to get stuff for my grandmother and no one was working the front one guy left (stealing his items) we yelled around a few times and my wife rang up here own stuff I walked into the back office where you could obviously hear someone and the lady working got pissed and kicked us and the guy behind us out of the store we are not from around here but this was the craziest place I have ever been tbh ill never be back and im filling compliments with corporate and BBB PICTURE IF OF THE EMPLOYEE
