Got my car back looking clean but also 3 years younger. Not sure how they were able to fix up the scratches on my rims, perhaps sorcery.

Ignores emails and doesnβt respond to quote requests. Better to go somewhere that is more professional. Edit 4/26: I sent you three emails with no response back. Then finally after I left this review someone responded saying βit was sitting in the outbox queueβ . Not being able to communicate well with your customers is not professional. Sorry.. Iβll bump it to two because you finally did respond after your online presence was marked.

I have a 2011 Camry. Good car, but itβs seen a lot. Johnny buffed out a lot of scratches and nicks on the bumpers, and got out salt stains in the carpet that previous detailers swore could not be removed. The car looks new! Super satisfied

Brought it in for a bumper scratch repair. I chose him because anyone who responds to customer posts indicates he really cares about his business and customers. That plus his high scores. John recommended a full paint spray as opposed to filling in the scratches which went down to the black plastic. I was dubious that the paint would a) match b) have orange peel and c) bumper not refitted back as original. Man was I wrong. It looked absolutely terrific and none of those issues existed. I def feel he did not try to upsell me, but gave me his professional advice and recommendation. He even filled the scratches with OEM paint for free to show me what that would look like. Plus, he did it for a lot less than a traditional body shop would have charged. A LOT LESS. Yet, he did it at a friends shop that had a heat oven so the paint cured properly. Then, he details it without my asking, but part of the price! He and Ashley are just terrific and down to earth people. I highly recommend him for getting your car done right!

I am writing this review because I read all the 5 star reviews and decided I would give this local business a chance. That was a mistake! The two main issues: honesty and timeliness. I schedule a cleaning and specifically said I wanted the cubbies and side compartment cleaned. When I was told it was done, the cubbies were not cleaned. Chalked it up to a communication error. When I pointed it out to the attendant, he admitted that the state of the interior of the car was not acceptable. I left my car for an additional day. When I informed the coordinator of the issue, she argued with me.There was a point where I did not feel comfortable leaving my car with them. When I picked it up, I was very disappointed to find that instead of actually cleaning the cubbies (as I asked twice) they just removed the custom felt pads I had and threw them away, never actually cleaning what I asked and paid for them to do. I write this post because I am skeptical of the validity of the numerous 5 star reviews and feel that others should be forewarned. Reply: John- I wrote this review honestly. Reviews are a forum in which customers can provide an honest statement of their experience. I could have included the texts in which your coordinator argued with me. I could have included the emails in which I asked for an easy specific task to be done and which was agreed to. I gave you a chance to make it right when I left the car for an extra day, you did not remedy the situation to my satisfaction. How many chances do you need to get it right? I did inform you of my dissatisfaction. I would be more than happy to include the screen shots of our conversation but, I did not because my goal here was merely to provide the public with a statement on my experience, as is the established norm.

Decided to take a shot and have John detail our Highlander. He was super easy to work with and schedule and very friendly in person. He did a great job and the car looks like new. It was three years old and has been the family hauler since day 1 with our daughter giving the interior a workout. Combine that with the messy winters in CNY and the car was due for some love. We have cleaned it ourselves each summer, but John really restored it. The paint was beautiful and the interior clean and glistening when he was done. I will bring our vehicles to him again without hesitation. Nice work!

Very fair pricing, My new truck looked better than it did in the showroom, after he applied ceramic coating! I was referred here by 2 friends and very satisfied. After application he spent time with me sharing some methods and recommending products to keep it looking great. I highly recommend Detail Johnny for anyone serious about keeping their ride looking better than new.

Not impressed with work done at all. Everything discussed at consultation was overlooked beyond belief. For someone who has detail in their business name I can't get over how many details were missed. Completely forgot to detail roof of my truck and back window. Paint touch-up quality is something I could of done myself. At consultation i asked if you would be able to feel chip after touchup he said he would fill and sand it but because it was rounded into gas fill area it wouldnt be 100 percent. Doesnt even seem like the right color paint and wasnt filled like discussed. Asked to have iron contamination removed as discussed(my main reason for having detail done) and still have iron contamination. Inside looked great but wasn't messy to begin with and didn't put my weathertec liners back together in backseat. Disappointed is an understatement and for giving my vehicle for 2 plus days I would of expected different results. Please avoid and save your time and money.

I had my VW Golf R detailed here and was very pleased with the results. Johnny is such a nice guy and he gave me a complementary license plate holder. He also pointed out some problem spots on my vehicle that showed signs of beginning to rust. Would definitely come back here!

I don't want to rule out giving this business a chance, but I also feel I should share my experience in case it should help someone make a decision. John seems to have more work than he can handle as one person. He may have experience, although I can not attest to that based on my results. Honesty, communication, and timing were major issues that precluded this. A mouse had gotten into our cargo van and left behind a horrible smell that was primarily coming from underneath the floor mat in the front cabin, where it had gnawed through the foam on the underside. Cleaning under it required removing the front seats. Detail Johnny seemed willing to do this while other shops weren't. Saturday, I dropped it off with these requirements: 1.) Use unscented cleaning products. 2.) Find and clean the source of the odor before charging me for O2 treatments done in vain. 3.) Call me when the floor mat is out so I can see if I need to replace it. All were agreed to without issue, but only the first fulfilled. He said it would be done next weekend at latest. No calls, so I left voicemail that weekend. Monday, the secretary texts me and tells me there is still an odor after two O2 treatments. She repeatedly avoided my question if he cleaned under the mat, but finally answered vaguely, yes. I asked if I could come in to see progress. She agreed to Friday/Saturday, but then never responded. Next Monday suddenly she said I can come pick it up. When I arrived, the van was outside with all doors opened. Because of that, the odor was undetectable. I peeled up the mat and asked about the amount dirt still underneath it. He claimed this was residual dirt come loose from the underside of the mat, which could not be fully cleaned using only the unscented products I had requested - which he determined to be limited to just soap and water, while I had meant to not use products with fragrances added. But even with just soap and water, I wasn't convinced by his answer and accepted only because the odor seemed gone. Paid $300 and took it home to find the odor returned once closed up. I looked under the floor mat more thoroughly and wiped off loads of dirt just from what I could reach with a dry paper towel. There were leaves and rocks from before the cleaning, still there. Now I was sure he lied. I took it back to him the next day. When I got there, he said, "we're going to do it my way this time." I said, "What do you mean, your way? You still haven't cleaned under the mat." He continued to insist that he had, which made me doubt myself and feel like the asshole. I told him to go ahead and try with his products. He told me he could get to it early next week. Over a week passed in radio silence, all texts and calls ignored. Next Monday, I stop by and there is clearly someone in the garage, but no answer on the phone or at the door. My boyfriend calls instead and gets his secretary, confirming that she was ignoring my number. She acts completely out of line and starts yelling at my boyfriend. I knock on the door again and John answers pissed off, tells me "You're not my only customer you know. Just take the van and go." She had lied to him and said my boyfriend βcussed her outβ despite her being the one yelling, and exaggerated that I had been calling "nonstop" rather than a couple times throughout the week. I clarified what had actually happened and he did apologize, resolving to work out her troubling attitude. Still, now $300 and a month later, I had lost faith and my van smelled too badly to use with no solution. I finally decided to remove the mat myself. I've posted the pictures so you can judge, but in my mind there is no doubt he lied. Tons of dirt, debris, rocks, pieces of foam that a simple vacuum would have taken care of. He at least did not charge me for work he didn't do, but I still paid for two O2 treatments that I didn't want until the work I asked for was done. Perhaps he was confident that he could resolve it his way without doing the work I requested, but I still don't understand why not be upfront and avoid the mess.
