I had a great experience with my technician installing an anniversary gift stereo system for my wife's vehicle. They took care of everything needed including having to order an xm antenna from a different car toys store for me to bring the vehicle back in and get it installed a few days later with no extra charge....very impressed with their customer service!

Shop came highly recommended, came in for a box and amp, charged $1800 , pick up my car and find glue mark hand prints on my door panels and new damages on my 2018 Dodge Charger. Was told there was no way they are responsible . Told the door panels are prone to warping. Apparently my panels are only prone to failure in the hands of car toys because they weren’t warped 24 hours before. I’m filing a insurance claim tomorrow to get my car repaired since I can’t get it remedied with the store.

They installed a cell phone booster, tinted my windows, and ran several lines (CAT6 and DC9 Serial cables) from my cab to the back of my truck bed (for my work). I was impressed with the quality of work. I felt like they were knowledgeable and made good suggestions, matching my vision for what I wanted with the practical reality of how to do it right. I would definitely recommend them.

Got me in really quick for a remote start; week later security light is on and key fob won’t lock or unlock the doors. Looked into the wiring for a sudden no start and they did a horrendous job. Not pleased… can’t wait to see what my head unit wiring looks like. Junk.

After my 12-17 update, I was finally contacted by the owner again after two ignored emails by ed who blamed 30th wedding anniversaries, levies breaking causing flooding in Washington and other excuses in delays for a response. Seems like ed prefers to act with his ego and hide behind he purchased the company out of bankruptcy and has no “legal obligation” to take care of previous customers. Foss audio will stall, ignore, and not do anything to help any previous car toys customers because ed chooses to save a few bucks rather than prioritize customer service. He had also gone to extents to block me from Facebook so I can’t update and share my experience with how he views customer service and treats customers. His last email says he will not help people that try to harm his family by leaving honest reviews of how he conducts business. What about the 6 months and countless hours I’ve waisted trying to resolve this issue? Way to turn a customer service issue into saying someone is trying to harm your family *** update12-17-2025 The next day after I posted a review and emailed the company, I got a response the next day asking to take the review down and to try and solve the issue. I have had to email back about 7 times asking if there has been an update or resolution. Almost a month after that, still no resolution. Run from this company as far as you can, cause the WILL NOT solve any issue you have. I will keep updating every week until problem is resolved. **** *Product replacement runaround for 6 months**. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PURCHASE or take ANYTHING to this store for service or issues. You will not receive ANY customer service. Pay more or travel to have work done somewhere else. I purchased my initial subwoofer from the Fort Collins store which was absolutely phenomenal and when I had an issue and couldn’t find a direct replacement offered solutions to the issue right away. This store has been an absolute nightmare and hands down the worst customer service experience I have ever dealt with. I have received ZERO phone calls regarding a possible solution or resolution. It first started by scheduling an appointment over the phone since I can no longer make it easily to the ft Collins store. When I showed up to the appt, no one knew I had it scheduled. After taking all day to confirm the sub was blown, they put in for a warranty claim for a replacement. Or so I thought. About a month goes by and I call to check in, no one had sent the claim in. So they sent it in, this time on the wrong item. I was patient and waited a few more weeks, got told about JL audio being bought out(which happened 3 years ago) and was no longer making product and they couldn’t source it. Then car toys claimed bankruptcy and that was another excuse as to why this would take awhile. Almost 6 months goes by with me being the only person to call or keep up to date on the issue every couple weeks. So finally in the last couple days they are saying it’s on the warranty company. So I start calling the warranty company and they have it approved for replacement since early August! You’re telling me it’s been approved for 3 months and you guys can’t find a replacement? To top it off, I’ve been told they can’t find the sub…. That’s a straight up lie. They can be found for sale brand new on many different websites and even Garmin who purchased JL audio has on their website the same exact sub for sale. I don’t comprehend how a solution has not been offered. Hands down the WORST customer service experience of my life. This store has lost a customer, and it’s not just my business you are losing… I have been in the dealership world for 15 years and you can be sure this experience has and will continue to effect my business and many others with this location. This is an issue that could have and should have been dealt with 6 months ago.

I took my car in for an amp and two 12-inch speakers. After paying $400, I found out the amp was installed on the back of the seat instead of under it, as promised. They didn't communicate this change with me. I was frustrated, but they gave me $100 off. Upon inspecting the work, I discovered a broken piece of plastic on my carpet and noticed that both floor panels were broken. I went back to complain and wasn't treated nicely because some staff knew they had messed up. On my way home, the bass stopped working, so I called to complain again. When I checked the amp at home, I found another broken piece. I called once more, and they said they would fix everything. Just a heads up—avoid this place; they don't know what they're doing and engage in shady practices.

Of all the years I've gone to Car Toys, I've never had an issue until yesterday. I dropped my truck off at 9am for an autostart install the work wasn't done until 6:50pm. Thats ridiculous I shouldn't be wasting my day and evening waiting for my truck to get done. And the sale clerk said sorry for the long wait. Thats unacceptable you guys lost my business and im going to spread the word about my terrible experience and the super long wait to get a 2 or 3 hour job done. Plus I was told in the morning there was only one car ahead of me. I did have an appointment made a week in advance too

First off, if you think you can buy something cheaper online, be wary. I tried that route. Then, I wised up And decided to buy directly from CarToys. Good thing. If you buy and install with them, they warranty all of your work. I had an expensive amplifier breakdown on me and they replaced it. Free of charge. Excellent service! They do everything. Mobile security systems, marine systems, utility systems, lights, In car Wi-Fi, everything your Car, boat, ATV needs. They also do custom Sound quality installs with tuning and carry high end amplifiers like Mosconi, JL Audio and focal. Alvin is their shop lead, highly recommend!

Thanks to James for the work he did and his honesty. Our vehicle already had a remote start installed at Car Toys by the previous owner but we were not aware and went to install a new remote start. They began new install and saw they had already installed a remote start on our vehicle before. So they called us to inform us of this and did not charge us at all. Their honesty speaks volumes to their integrity and not making an easy dollar from us. They could have easily told us they installed a new one and charged me the original price. We will continue to give them our business and refer our friends and family to them.

Brought in a pair of headlights to get ppf, got them back from them and all corners started peeling back the very next day. Took the truck back in to get it fixed and the truck sat in the same parking spot out front for 8+ plus hrs and never got fixed. Take your high end items elsewhere
