Been here a few times before and was pretty satisfied. Got out with a $10 wash. However, the past few times I've been here, the equipment does not work. Last time the vacuum took my money (vacuums are not strong at all) and didn't turn on, the blast dry doesn't work, and now this time my card won't even read in the card slot! So disappointing. Finding another place to spend my money! (Recommend: Piersall’s day and night wash- much newer equipment and nicer overall)

Everything went fine. Use the power washer rinse close to the car to get the little bits of crud off!

Pretty good, washing equipt stuff works well, not a long line. Money machines are a little funniky, but get the job done. Good for my high roof van. Not many places can fit a high roof.

Want to wash your car and have all the needed utensils - even help - at your side, so that you can do a superb job? Then you need to try Buggy Bath Car Wash: I use their outlet in Linda Vista on Comstock St. and it can be found right across the street from the Linda Vista Post Office. Buggy Bath Car Wash has a number of outlets located throughout San Diego and as a self service car wash they have everything that you'll need and more, to give your car that much needed cleaning ( You should arrive with plenty of one dollar Bill's and quarters however, I believe that they take credit and debit cards.). They have enclosed individual stalls for each car and each one comes with all the equipment that you'll need to thoroughly wash, dry and clean (vacuum) out the interior of your car. They also have an area where you can have your car professionally waxed and detailed however, I prefer to do the latter myself: I'm also unsure if this is still there however, I've seen others waxing their cars/trucks in the area. Since it's inception several years ago, Buggy Bath Car Wash has become very popular and a great place for local "car buffs" to meet and clean their cars.

You get what you pay for. The place is meh. It is very old and not really well maintained. It is dirty, a lot of sand from the beach in the washing area (seems they don't even clean that), been coming to this place for more than a year and it's the same old place in Linda vista where they don't care about nice things. Most of the machines are old and not really well taken care of. The pressure for the pre wash and soap isn't enough if you really want to wash your car. The drying machine doesn't even have enough pressure to dry your car. By the time you dry a part of your car your time is over. I only do bucket method for my car so I only go for the water pressure. I wouldn't recommend washing your car here if your going to use the brushes and soap they provide. I been going to many self car wash places and so far this is the worst. Only positive thing about this place is the price. $3 for 5 min. Others are about $4. Water pressure is really good. Once again. You get what you pay for.

Good place to wash your car/truck. Bay one has the stairs to get above your car or truck and really clean the roof or high areas. The other bays offer regular car/truck wash. Each bay has a vacuum and fragrance machine before entering the washing area and it's helpful when there is a line. When done, you pull forward and there is an area for 4 cars to park and dry your vehicle. There is another two vacuums in the back as well. Seemed well priced for the self-service. I ended up paying about $8-10 for a car wash and vacuum. Came here around 10am and it was pretty empty, but by 10:30 it was getting crowded. Overall good car wash, if your in the area.

I’ve been using this car wash for nearly two years. At first, it was great - equipment worked well, and the price was fair. Now, however, it shows neglect from the managers/owners. Several bays have non-functioning options. One doesn’t even have spray soap, and hasn’t for several months, and there’s no indication that it doesn’t. It’s understandable that equipment needs maintenance and repair occasionally. Businesses deal with it. When there’s no maintenance, that indicates that the business isn’t dealing with its problems, yet continues to charge customers for using non-functioning facilities. That's bad business practice, and I won’t be returning.

Kinda expensive. Also make sure you shut it off all the way. You can leave and the timer can keep ticking. But facilities work as intended. Also detailers in back are cool.

I spotted this car wash on my way home earlier in the week, and decided to try it for the first time today. It's close to home, and I can use my own brushes. All the equipment I used worked well, and had good pressure. The overhead hose system is very cool. Will definitely use again.

It’s a self car wash can’t get any better then that. Not expensive usually not packed and not to pricey $20 gets you a long way. There’s a vacuum with a fragrance freshener for your car of course. There’s a few options to choose from when washing the car but check this out there’s an option for carpet cleaning and drying if you want to. Overall cool functions affordable pricing !

Vacuum was super weak it barely sucked up anything. Maybe defective or clogged but I didn't see anyone nearby to ask. I was hoping they had compressed air to clean under seats and in cracks but the second hose was just for applying fragrance. I didn't need a wash so I can't comment on that.

Location was alright. Until I saw a charge of $14.75 when it should of only been $3.00 screen clearly said $3. be careful don’t go to this location if youre planning to use a debit card.

The location is good, the amenities work, but they charged me $14.95 on 2 separate occasions on my credit card. Both times the screen said I owed them $7. Not sure why they keep overcharging. Owner needs to stop it because that's straight up stealing from the customer!

Honestly, this place is 0/5 stars. I should've known better when I rolled up. Don't waste your money here. I've gotten higher water pressure at home putting my thumb over the end of a garden hose. Also, this place must have a truly awful pump. I was holding the trigger down for full pressure and it was like the pump couldn't keep up. It was like holding a machine gun the pressure was fluctuating between low and lower. The soap brush at most car washes like this is a good steady stream of soap this places brush put out maybe a tennis ball sized amount of soap every 3 seconds; it took me forever to be able to wash the car costing more money. Ridiculous. Place needs a literal gut job to make it usable; clearly is being used to milk money while it's on its final legs. Go over to "Day n Nite" in Serra Mesa. Or, if you really want a good place "Poway Car Wash" on Poway road

I've been using this place for years and love the place and the idea of washing my own car and nothing touching my paint. This place is great most of the time. The card readers seem to work if you figure out how to maneuver them the right way, the card slot is finicky on the bays. The vacuum didn't work so I had to go to another that worked very well. Some bays have dripped fluid on my car. I noticed one bay I typically use was fixed. I feel cheated at times because over years of use I've lost alot of money on the vacuums, they even have taken the dollar coins you get here and only credit 75 cents. I know it sounds fishy but it's really bothered me everytime this happens or it just eats the coin or the vacuum doesn't work. I know the owner will happily fix the issue and mail a few dollars but it seems unnecessary over a dollar here and there but seriously... Over time this adds up and I will always feel a tad off over the poorly maintained equipment. I have bought my own shop vac for at home because of this issue but I like the convenience of doing it when I wash my car. The driveways are absolutely awful and will damage your car if you dont pull out the right way. Only gives tokens, do not buy tokens, they are just a way to take money from you when you dont come back or lose the coin. No apple pay. Credit card readers are broken always.

Much cheaper than other self wash locations. Some of the pay machines can be upgraded.

Great location. But watch for nails and screws. Seems like junk trucks come and spray out their garbage, nails, screws, mud then leave the stall thrashed..sometimes the spot free rinse still has spots..even after purging the lines rinsing the wheels first. .my credit card is always double charged for a few days then it reverses no big deal.

Echoing Michael Zhang's post below. Wish I can give it zero stars. The last four times I went for a high pressure rinse, I was charged the following - (Oct/Nov) $12.75, $14.75, $12.00 and $14.75. (Sept) $8.25 (I spent a little more time this day). Then previous to that it was $6.50. Before that my rinses were ~$3 to $5 depending. I always check when I complete my wash after hitting the stop button and the total was never in the $12 - $14 range. I went to the website and emailed someone asking what the charge is, if it's gone up by that much!? I have not received a response. Yesterday I happened to be in the area and made a stop to check the price. Indeed it's $3 for 4 minutes! All I ever do is get a rinse and usually it's 4-5 minutes. So why were the last four charges so much? Hope I get a response. I really like coming here because it's close to me but if it will charge me that much I won't mind going out of my way to a different spot.
