Ughh I hate that google won’t let you give zero stars. This place is horrible. Natasha, older African American woman with glasses, doesn’t have the slightest idea what is customer service. She is so rude AND she lies about pricing. I asked her numerous time what the amount was charged to my card and it changed each time. When I looked on my bank account it was $200 more than what she quoted. When I asked her to explain she just kept repeating “call corporate”. A horrible, rude, woman. Not to mention the car they attempted to rent to me had numerous areas of damage. Never will I ever rent again. Then on top of that they attempted to charge me for a car I didn’t even use.

I reserved a mid-size SUV from Budget car rental through AARP. When I arrived to pick up the SUV, the desk representative at this location insisted on giving me a compact SUV. I attempted to show them my reservation which I had pulled up on my phone to show them it clearly stated "Mid-size SUV" to let them know I was not trying to receive something above what I paid for initially, but they REFUSED to look at it. Then they showed me another dirty small SUV and would not document the damages already present on the SUV. Something did not seem right with this situation. My sixth sense kicked in. Therefore, I asked to cancel the reservation and requested a refund. I work too hard for my money to pay for poor customer service and for a vehicle lesser than what I reserved. They printed out a receipt and refused to say else anything. I did not know if they charged me or not. I had to had to call the Budget customer service line and my credit card company to determine whether or not my credit card was charged. This was the worst experience I had in renting cars in over 20yrs. I would give this experience a ZERO if I could. I would avoid this location if possible.

The customer service that I received was phenomenal at the Budget Car Rental at 3290 Leonardtown Rd, Waldorf, MD 20601. Unfortunately when I arrived to pick up the car I was in distraught. Not only did they allow me to vent but made sure I left calm & happy. They truly accommodated my needs to the fullest. True customer service with a smile from the time I picked up & dropped off.

The staff is so so nice. The only problem with the vehicle is they have to maintain the maintenance on it. It has ball tires and the oil light said it needed to be changed,well It did need an oil change,also there was another emblem on the dashboard which indicated that it was something going on with the automatic push button starting ,the stow and go didn’t get vacuumed and the van itself was dirty,both doors was all scraped up on the sliding door, but I didn’t have any problems with how it drove,All in all it was a great experience driving the vehicle it rode real nice ball tires 🛞 and all😂

I was very happy about the service I received on my recent rental with Budget of Waldorf Md. I planned my vacation and reserved my vehicle 2 months in advance online, however I did have some reservation about the outcome. I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of service I was provided . My vehicle was ready on pick up day the exact one I was promised. The customer service was supreme, excellent. I paid with a debit card and was given the same respect as if I had a credit card. The staff is excellent kudos Budget of Waldorf keep up the good work.You provide a great service to our community!

This place should be closed down. They are the worst !!!! They don’t honor reservations. Fire everybody. Shut it down. You will have experience bad service.

Great rental place. Came back home to surprise my sister for her birthday. Picking up the car was easy and the staff was friendly. Got an upgrade for free because the original car I was going to get check engine light came on. Dropping off the car was easy too. I will be using this rental car place next time I am in town.

Rented car but that car was not available so they gave me a pickup truck for same price as car. However I was charged for the truck ,not for the car as agreed. Truck was dirty,full of pet hair,scratches on the inside as we as outside of truck. The tag sticker is dead but didn't see it til I was 2 States away. Was over charged for a dirty,scratched up rental that I had to wash and vacuum. I want to file a complaint for false advertising etc. I wouldn't be upset of me having to clean up the ride but stealing my money is a bit too much. Can anyone assist me with the process I must take to get my owed money back? They straight lied just to rent the dirty,dead tag,ride out to me.The ride was rented by someone else but we e had to pay $13 away for second driver. This car rental is a rip off and will hit u with crazy taxes after u return their dirty junk. Becareful and take pictures of damages like I did,before leaving lot and upon return. And get your total prices etc on paper. I used ez pass so I'm waiting to see if they charge me for that also.Very disappointed in their game and hope everyone reading this takes their business to a trusted clean rental place.

The Leonardtown Staff were wonderful trying to assist me... However, the online team sucks! I was urged to pay in advance for my vehicle when I booked online. The system told me that my 'guaranteed' vehicle would be there when I arrived. I even got TWO reminders to be on time because if not, I would lose my payment (since I paid in advance). So... why was there NO car anywhere at the lot?!? And the online team had the gall to suggest I go to an airport to pick up a car! Why should I have to go to an airport when (a) I paid in advance and (b)you, Budget, guaranteed the car?!? What is this - a friggin Seinfeld episode?!?!

Very very unprofessional. My 25 year old son reserved a car online through a third party (that was the first mistake). We got there to pick the car up and they did not have the size car he reserved so he said yes to a larger vehicle and agreed to pay a few dollars extra(the 2nd mistake). He didn't have enough money left on his credit card to cover the amount they wanted to hold until he returned the vehicle. So he came outside to my car to ask if he could use my credit card(THE 3RD AND LAST MISTAKE)! I went inside to see what was happening--- the man behind the counter was eating barbecue! He actually liked his fingers twice while trying to answer my questions! Long story short we left with no car because they were trying to give him a pick up truck instead of a midsized and charge him for it. He paid a nonrefundable $50 reservation fee to the third party. And Momma wasn't giving that place access to my credit card! My son got a grown up life lesson that day!

Upon returning a rental car after a week, I was informed that if I didn’t vacuum out the car, there would be an additional fee of $450. My friend and I drove the car to a vacuum place and spent $4 vacuuming out the car. I’ve never had to do that and I’ll never rent from Budget again. Horrible customer service!

We rented for just a day from out of town, the vehicle was absolutely filthy AND although a really nice Jeep thanks to Jeep, you could tell the vehicle had some mechanic challenges. If we returned the car that way I could see being charged for extra detailing fee, so we should be able to have that same well kept expectation when paying for a rental with Budget. Not really happy with the experience of THIS LOCATION thankfully we have great experiences in Virginia Beach so we won't be discouraged from renting....hopefully.

I made a reservation 10 days in advance and received confirmation, only to get a call just 1.5 hours before my scheduled pickup saying there were no cars available and they couldn’t help me. I was told to call corporate to find another location myself. Every other rental company I’ve dealt with would at least try to assist in checking nearby branches or finding a solution. This was incredibly frustrating and completely unacceptable. 0/10 don’t recommend!

I have never had a worst experience!!! First, the place doesn't have any curb appeal, but that's superficial. When we opened the door to Budget's lobby there was some unprofessional looking personnel behind the counter, hat sideways, sitting in a chair that was leaned all the way back, but that's superficial; right? What really disturbed me was the vehicle was in a most trifling condition. The outside was too dirty to distinguish scrapes, scratches, and dings from the dirt. The inside of the vehicle was uncleaned and the rear storage area had grass clippings. This vehicle was not wiped down at all. At this point, I'm beyond steamed. The lady offered to give us another vehicle, but that one was just as nasty on the outside. At this point the guy in the chair comes out smoking a cigarette and offers to clean the car. My reaction was visceral...If you weren't in the office, lean back in the chair, and out here cleaning the vehicles none of this would be happening. I told them, if I could give them zero stars as a rating I would. The chair guy said we get them all the time. In the meantime, the wife is wipping down and CoViD sanitizing the vehicle. This organization is in stark contrast to Nattional car rental...very professional, a top notch car rental organization.

I reserved a car for one day online. It was a very fast pick up and return process. The staff (Mr DJ-owner? and Ms Just-Back-from-Vacay...I'm sorry that I forgot to get your name) were very cordial and efficient. It was truly a very pleasant experience. The car ran well. No problems at all. I will rent from this Budget location every time I need a car. You guys started and ended my fun day out. Thank you.

The worst agency to get a vehicle rental through. Rental was set up for an SUV, they accepted the reservation stating that they had that vehicle. Upon picking the vehicle up they realized they no longer had the reserved vehicle available anymore. After much back and forth I was given a minivan. Clearly they do not check their vehicles nor clean them prior to renting them out. Upon opening the passenger side door we found used, dirty drawers and socks and other clothing items. If you are a government or contractor don’t go to this rental agency in Waldorf. Drive to DC where they actually check the vehicles for nasty items left behind from other drivers.

Be aware that it doesn’t matter if you have a reservation, it matters when you booked it. I made a reservation the day before and arrived to be told that they didn’t have any more vehicles. Card had already been charged and would take 7-14 days for a refund. Very disappointing and SOL if your vehicle is in the shop.

Tasha and DJ hit it out of the park each time that I visit. I have a lot of doctor's appointments due to my back ailments. Tasha always caters to me when I visit to pick up or return my rentals. She doesn't have to but I rarely have to stand up and wait in line. She takes everyone in proper turn, yet she'll let me stay in my chair and goes out of her way to come over to me when it's my turn. She always has a pleasant radio station on in the office, never any offensive music. Visiting 3290 Leonardtown Rd Waldorf Md is like being with family and feeling that comfortable, professional yet welcoming vibe when you're at Tasha and DJ's workplace. You know you'll be treated respectfully and you'll enjoy your brief visit while conducting your transaction. Voted "Best Rental Facility Ever"!
