The Big Lots in Waldorf, Md is one of the most ghetto stores. The workers look at you like you are crazy. Only one spoke when we walked in and two people in the furniture dept actually acted interested in attempting to assist. The man that went to check for what I needed was a little rude and short. If I didn't need my purchase, I would have walked out without it. The higher ups need to train their employees on how to greet customers.

Not a good experience this evening they have alot of items that don't have prices in them and trying to find someone was bit easy especially when they weren't it was less then 30 folks in there and not to mention when I went to pay at the registered there was two people in front of me I didn't mind but they had to other cashiers who had there lights off and they were just standing around looking when they cashier said to me we have two other register open my reply who oh really how would we know when there lights are off and one cashier replied my light is broken again how would the customer know as the cashier you should of said I'm open my light is just not working and the cashier just didn't have his light on. Not good don't think I will be coming back.

They were in the middle of remodeling, I guess. Surprised to see quality furniture for sale there, prices were better than the other stores in the mall. Picked up some odds and ends, found some interesting drinks like some real potent sugar free ginger beer and diet Dad's root beer.

Big lots has everything and at great prices too! Pet supplies, household supplies, furniture, and beauty supplies. My favorite part of big lots is their unique selection of interesting food. This time I got a jar of Truffle Pig Black Truffle Mustard that goes with absolutely everything - deviled eggs, with the dressing on the spinach salad, everything. I love big lots!

I've always liked coming to Big Lots for gardening equipment (which there's been less of over the years), thrifty food, and car care, and household products. Ever since Aldi showed up I buy much less food here; but I still pick up cooking supplies and hardware here. It's also still a great place for laundry and cleaning needs. I haven't really needed furniture, but I know they have a large selection of comfortable stuff on display. I'll definitely continue shopping here.

I like the big lots stores but this place in Waldorf I be two times trying to get sofas and the second time they make waiting 2 hours because in they computer they said they have but after finally they told me they don’t have in stacks I just wasted d my time in this store, My dining table I purchased here they was good service that time, But only one guy the have who helped with that , they need more the one men to work in that area otherwise he’s make the people waiting to long. Last visiting I did was yesterday Sunday December 17 2017 morning they told the guy working in the furniture area working only after 4:00 pm and when going back just for wasting my time again 2 hours.

It's good to know that there are some genuinely nice people in the world. Ms. Belinda is 1 of those people. Her customer service and positive attitude is very welcoming. Keep up the awesomeness! You are appreciated!

I like going into this store and have found the majority of the staff to be very helpful and friendly. I feel the prices are reasonable. The store seems to be stocked quite well with items of interest to me, ie; furniture, bedding, food, drapery, curtains, nice items for home decor, useful items, etc. I am drawn in by the selection of items and the prices. Why pay more for those items you don't need or have to spend a lot of money on? I am not saying the store has absolutely everything you might want but think it is definitely worth checking out.

Delayed same day delivery then sold our items I ordered several items for same day delivery late on Nov 20th. On Nov 21st I received an email that all the items were "ready for delivery". I was contacted by the delivery people saying that they would be unable to deliver at that time and wanted me to wait until several days later, which I allowed at the time even though it meant we wouldn't have a table for thanksgiving. On the second delivery date I was notified that they would again have to delay the "same day delivery". Now, on Dec 2nd, I found that several of my items have been cancelled by someone, without our notification, and that now the items are out of stock. Again, I received an email that they were "ready for delivery". So we've been waiting since Nov21st for these items, and now I've called customer care and wasted 45 minutes on the phone where I was offered no solution. This included a table for which we already bought matching benches. Did our items get sold during the whole time the "same day" delivery service was stalling?

I can see why this location is closing. I had the absolute displeasure of interacting with one of the nastiest furniture salesman I have ever encountered at this location. Good riddance

Good for everyday items. Not quite Wally World level but still works when you don’t feel like braving that place. Surprisingly quality furniture and beds sold here, even if only a small selection. Signed up for a new account and got 15% off any purchase, which I used on a couch for pretty hefty savings.

Thank God someone heard our cry to keep BIG LOTS in Waldorf. We need good store's & restaurants in this area to keep our county money working here for our communities.

The cashier, Belinda, seemed to have a slight attitude and was not very personable. I only bought 1 item and checkout seemed to be a slight bit prolonged for such. I particularly did not care for her customer service when it came to providing my big lots rewards information. She didn't ask me to scan my card originally, but instead she asked for my phone number; upon inputting the phone number I realized the name she announced was not mine but my sister's. As I was trying to explain to her that the name on the account was incorrect, she proceeded to overtalk me, telling me I needed to give her another number; I was trying to explain to her that that is the only number I had, and again instead of listening, she cut me off again and said well give her my email address. I told her that I did not remember which email address I used to sign up and again I tried explaining to her that the name on the account should not be in my sister's name, but instead it should be in mine. Again it just wasn't a pleasant experience because she for the most part didn't seem to listen to me, which made the process difficult and frustrating during my checkout. As she continued talking over me, I just told her to just use that account with my sister's name and it's fine (because at that point I didn't want to deal with her any longer and I just wanted to leave as quickly as possible). She continued saying, with MUCH attitude and sarcasm, "Well, I was telling you to just give me the email address so I could look everything up and tell you everything on the account" or something of that sort. Again I told her I do not remember the email used when I signed up and that my sister's name shouldn't be on that account, however, to just keep things going smoothly just proceed with that account! FINALLY listening to me and moving forward with what I said to go ahead and do, she then interrupts and asked would I be interested in signing up for a Big Lots credit card; when I said that I'm not interested she seemed to get more of an attitude (I'm assuming she gets some sort of employee bonus or points for each customer that she enrolls. I've worked at Macy's before and it's never that serious.) At that point I was just eager to be done with her and not even get my receipt. I immediately grabbed my purchase off the counter and started to exit. She then yelled to me let me give you your receipt. The only reason she seemed so eager to give me the receipt is so she can write her name on it and put a :-) as if she gave the best customer service; what a joke! and yes I did do the Big Lots survey online not so much for the gift card that she mentioned but to let management know just what type of individual they have representing their company. NO ONE should have to be subjected to this type of rudeness. I'm glad that I am not the only one who experienced her behavior (as I read in previous reviews). GOOD customer service goes a VERY LONG way and I'm truly hoping that management will reprimand her; if that doesn't cut it then maybe she needs to be let go because she's truly hurting their company with her lack of exceptional customer service skills 😕🙁 again, I LOVED the store; the cleanliness, neatness, majority full stock of items, etc. But again, Belinda, I'm not too big on and she would be the reason I wouldn't want to come back or if I did, if I saw she was on the register, I would want another associate to check me out if possible; because I do not want to encounter Belinda again..... Took way too long to check me out just for 1 item, wasn't nice, & ultimately made me feel frustrated and annoyed by her rudeness 😒💯💯💯 Overall, I had a very nice time and experience at this Big Lots until I got to the register to checkout with Belinda.

I didn't care for the customer service received from Daryl whom I assume is a floor supervisor. We inquired about buying an outdoor umbrella and he refused to sell us the one we wanted off the floor. He said he had beige ones in the back, but we wanted the Navy Blue umbrella. He told us that he knows what he's doing and will not sell it to us. I told him that I do Yelp reviews and his response was: "I Don't care because I get a lot of bad reviews." His attitude is poor as a store representative and should be replaced with someone with better people skills. He even told me that we should just wait until they go on sale because that's what he does. He waits until they are reduced ro $25, then he buys them and store them in his shed. Good for him, sounds like he knows how to reap the benefits from being an employee there. I won't be patronizing that location any more...

Great selection, fantastic prices and a really friendly cashier (tall fair skinned young woman). She's always patent, friendly and helpful. Big Lots has a lot of great outdoor furniture and beautiful accessories to go with it. Its worth a visit, you'll surely find something or many things to buy.

Went here 6 weeks ago with my boyfriend. The furniture guy in sales (sorry i forget his name) was so nice, patient, helpful! We got there 20 min before they closed and he was still so happy to greet and assist us. Amazing customer service!

It was quite dirty but the little interaction I had with an employee was good. Yasmin was kind and helpful and made sure we found what we were looking for.

This is the new Amazon discount store that replaced Big Lots in Waldorf. My daughter brought me some new furniture. It is very comfortable and well made of great quality. The chairs recline which make them even more comfortable. Y'all do not sleep on these deals. I love love love my new furniture. Yes, she brought me the couch and matching love seat. They all recliner except the center chair couch. That chair has a hidden storage. My daughter also brought herself a wonderful bedroom furniture set that lights up. The lights are beautiful and not overwhelming. Some lights are bright and flashing. The lights are very soft and romantic.
