If you're looking for a place to stay where you'll be out all day and just come back here to have a clean room, hot shower and a decent breakfast, a few minutes from downtown Holland this is where you want to stay. If you're looking for a 5-star resort, this may not be the place for you. The breakfast has a decent spread, waffles, sausage, eggs, cereals, bread, juices all great. I'd be remiss if I didn’t call out the excellent service by Drashti. She was pleasant every evening we came back from being out all day with a smile on her face. We had to keep extending our stay and she was able to accommodate us. Anytime we saw her she was doing something, but always gave us a hello and a smile. She was also very attentive to the breakfast. She always made sure everything was filled and clean. What I did see of the day Representative, he seemed a little stand-offish and was never around the desk. I saw him outside at one point and on the couch at another. Drashti definitely gave first rate customer service. Surprisingly, we got fresh towels and housekeeping came and tidied up a little bit, which we weren't expecting due to the green initiative sign. There is a $100 deposit when you check in, so just make sure you're aware of that.

All in all, this was a pleasant surprise and a very good bargain. The room was updated tastefully and very clean. The lobby and the hallway were clean and nicely maintained as well. Breakfast included, sufficient, but nothing to brag over. The building is pretty quit as well. It was busy with a lot of contract workers getting up at 5 am. Other than the occasional door slam the noise level was acceptable....I have stayed in much worse. Bring ear plugs if you are a late sleeper. I am not crazy about the policy of withholding an extra $100 until after 3 pm until the room is inspected, nor only providing one small bar of soap in the bathroom. (Hence the 4 star, but a close 5 out of 5).

It seemed that the hotel reception staff were often absent from the desk. When they were present, they appeared dissatisfied and unwelcoming. I tried to pay with my company card, but since it was not under my name, I was told to use my personal card instead. The response was very unfriendly and irritating. I stayed on the third floor, and the elevator rattled when going down, almost like a roller coaster, which felt unsafe. Most importantly, the entire accommodation felt very damp, to the point where even the towels seemed moist.

Overall, the hotel represents a good value. The room had a musty smell, like someone had smoked in the room sometime previously, and it just lingers in the curtains and carpets. The pillows were very thin and didn't provide much support. But I do appreciate the Dove bath products in the bathroom.

The main photo on all websites is not this building, it is just a generic modern looking Wyndham Hotel in the photo. When arriving it is basically a dump. They also charged double if you book in advance compared to looking at prices day of and won’t adjust the rates for those who plan ahead through third party booking agencies. Rooms are small and dated, elevator is squeaky, etc. Everything about this hotel feels like a scam and leaves a terrible feeling. I wish I could cancel and pick another place. Avoid at all costs!

I been staying at this hotel for over a month now. The room(a queen bed) is spacious and clean. They never miss my room for cleaning everyday. When I get back from work, my towels always been replaced and every necessary commodities been added, my bed neatly made. The breakfast is fine. They provide whole apples, eggs, sausages, bagles, muffins, yogurt, cereal, coffee and more. This hotel is within 5 minutes to Aldi, and Meijer, which has everything you need during your business trip including groceries, pharmacy and clothing for all ages. There's a huge Chinese restaurant within a walking distance. My room has a large window which is great to enjoy the beautiful sunset. The staff here is very nice! One thing I wish for is a bill&coin changer. Coinstar at Meijer is broken and you will need a total 18 quarters to do laundry (2.5 for washing, 2 for drying). I'm finding it really difficult to find coins here.

Got in after a very long day of travel delays. The man at the front desk was extremely pleasant and got us checked in quickly! He tried to help us with finding a place to eat but unfortunately it was so late there was only fast food open. We ate, came back, and went to bed. Beds were comfortable and shower heated up very fast. Got up too late for breakfast. Pleasant stay for a great price!

The staff were polite and helpful, the room was clean, and overall the stay was good. However, my experience was ruined by a serious issue: in the middle of the night, the shower head broke off from the hose by itself. This could have caused serious injury if I had been in the shower. Despite this, I was unfairly charged $100 for “damage,” even though it was clearly a maintenance issue, not my fault. This left me very disappointed.

Buyer BEWARE Wyndom offers great amenities but will NOT HONOR them when asked to do so!! I am a DIAMOND rewards member and i have never asked for a late check out and the one time i needed one i was denied or i would have to pay $30 to stay only 30 minutes! This is what you get for a substandard motel!!

I recently stayed at the Baymont Inn in Holland, Michigan, and the experience was completely unacceptable. The room was filthy, there was mold present, and the carpet smelled terrible — the entire environment felt dirty and unsafe. Because of how bad the Baymont was, I became concerned that the next hotels I had booked through Wyndham (La Quinta and Days Inn) might also have similar conditions. To avoid another bad experience, I decided to cancel those reservations as well. While the Baymont stay only cost around $100, I had over $1,000 in total bookings across Wyndham properties that I no longer felt comfortable keeping after this experience. Unfortunately, Baymont still refused to refund even that $100, despite the unacceptable conditions. It’s clear from my research and from reading other reviews that many Wyndham-owned hotels have gone downhill — especially Baymont, Days Inn, and La Quinta locations across Michigan and neighboring states. The company’s overall property standards have dropped significantly, and travelers are being misled by outdated photos and false advertising. I’m asking that this issue be formally investigated and that the Baymont Inn in Holland be reviewed for cleanliness, accuracy in advertising, and guest safety. I’m also requesting a refund or credit for the Baymont stay, as it did not meet any reasonable standard of hygiene or comfort.

I had reservation for Oct. 25, 2025 for one night. On that day my spouse fell and had to go to urgent care for stitches to close a wound of the face and lips. Fearing a concussion the doctor recommended watching him for symptons and go to the emergency room if anything developed. I immediately called the front desk at the Holland, Michigan Baymont hotel to notify them so they could make the room available for other guest. I was told that they had a strict 24 hour cancelation policy and I would not get a refund no matter what the reason. I then called the home office and got the same response. My feeling is that a business that does not take into consideration family emergencies does not deserve my or anyones business. I had proof of the emergency. I canceled my Wyndham Rewards card since i didn't need it anymore as I am done with all things Wyndham.

The Good: The hotel was clean in the common areas. Our room was clean. We stayed in room 324 - a king whirlpool suite. The room was larger than expected and had a sofa sleeper, a chair and ottoman, and a desk and chair. The included breakfast was standard fare for a hotel in its class - scrambled eggs (shaped like tofu), sausage links, waffles, etc. Food was plentiful on a Saturday morning at 8am. |The treadmill and tv functioned as expected in the exercise room. Parking was plentiful.||The Bad: The entire back side of the hotel is situated on a busy road with only about 20 feet of separation between the road and the hotel. If you are in any room on that side of the hotel you WILL be exposed to traffic noise (cars, motorcycles, semi trucks) at ALL hours of the day and night. If you are a light sleeper, you will not do well here. The room fan, the bathroom fan, earplugs, a sound machine audio and a sleeping pill did not produce adequate sleep for me. I probably slept a total of 9 hours between two nights of lodging.||The Ugly: The staff at this hotel were the least accommodating “hospitality” staff I have encountered in quite some time. I encountered a glitch on the Wyndham Rewards website where a booking that I had originally made for this hotel and then cancelled got reactivated. The front desk staff was rude when explaining that this was my problem for booking with a “third party.” As a Wyndham Rewards member, I was eligible for a free late checkout. The hotel swiftly denied that request before we even arrived. At checkin, staff appeared indifferent to our arrival. Finally, staff denied our request to switch rooms on the second night of our two night stay due to the aforementioned road noise. We were told this had to be done by 11am. We were on the road to our first pre booked attraction by 8:30am after our first night of poor sleep, so this was an impossibility. The hotel was less than half full when we made the request. As this trip was planned to celebrate my birthday, I seriously considered cutting my losses and leaving at 5pm on Sunday. In hindsight, I wish we would have done so. I could have at least gotten a good night’s sleep in my own bed to be refreshed on my actual birthday. Instead, we suffered through a second night of round the clock road noise. I woke for good at 5am, threw everything in our bags and we were on the road by 6:30am. It was worth the drive in the dark and fog to put this place in our rear view mirror.

I booked a two-night stay on short notice. The young man at the front desk was pleasant & efficient when I arrived. The room was clean & well-appointed with a single king bed. My only reasons for deducting one point is that the towels weren't supposed to be changed out except after three days. There is a small sign on the bathroom mirror at the lower left hand corner stating this. I also had the "do not disturb" door hanger out while I was away from the hotel but the room was entered anyway to change out the towels. I always make up my bed when I arise so that wasn't the point of entering the room. The second reason for 9-points is that while my room was at the elevator which was a noisy area, the large laundry bins were left in the alcove in front of my door. I could still enter/exit my room with considerable room to spare though. I will definitely stay at this location again. It was a pleasure & everyone was nice.

Best motel in this area for the price! Friendly staff, super clean rooms, and no bad smell like other places nearby. I stayed here for about a week and had a great experience. Although it’s not a luxury hotel, it’s the best one around for the price.

Very easy check in process. Nice young lady explained the facilities and hours for breakfast. Very clean and kept up property. Door to the room sticks, had to ensure it was secured. Not bad for the cost. Location is not ideal for noise. Room is only yards from a highway traffic.

The hotel is OK. Staff was accommodating but not friendly. Room was clean and bed comfortable enough. Towels were almost as thin as paper... We were charged extra for our dog (not a surprise, but annoying nevertheless). It was quite noisy both inside (our room was across from the Gym, which was active very late, and the floor "thumped" when people were walking in the corridor) and outside (traffic on nearby highway). Maybe good for a one-night stay, but not my choice for a vacation.

Great place to stay for a great price. Good location, you are not to far from the many sights and places to go while you are in town or want to explore the area. Beds were very comfortable and love the pillows too. The desk clerks were very friendly and was very helpful with accommodating with my stay as I was on a work trip and didn't know how long I'd be there for. I also explored on my final day and wasn't no more than 20 min from the Lighthouse/Beach. Plus their is a place called Bam(bowling alley/arcade) that was 3 min down the road(fun place to go too) Definitely a 5 star from me for the staff and the hotel.

After reading some of the reviews I was a bit apprehensive, but we had traveled from California to attend a wedding and between the airfare, car rental, and all the wedding-related expenses, costs were really mounting up. We needed a budget-friendly accommodation, so I went ahead and booked. From everything I observed, the hotel is clean and well-maintained. Our room was in good condition, it had a mini-fridge and microwave, and the bed was comfortable. Housekeeping even came in and turned the room over for us while we were out, and I've noticed that not many places do that anymore unless you specifically request it. I'd read reviews complaining that there were no hot options at breakfast, but that was not our experience. There were hot options such as eggs, sausage, and waffle maker, available every morning of our 3-day stay, as well as cereal, yogurt, and toast/bagels/muffins. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is decent; not in the town center, but still just a few minutes' drive to the main attractions. There's a shopping center across the street with a grocery store, and there's a Bob Evans on the corner if you prefer your breakfast cooked to order. If I'm ever back in Holland looking for a budget-friendly accommodation, I'd stay again.

BEWARE Worst hotel i’ve ever stayed in. We bought 3 nights, we left after the first night because of how disgusting it was. The lady at the front desk said we would be able to cancel with a refund but she was wrong. This place is extremely scammy and charged us for the extra nights even though we made sure it would be okay before we checked out. You also need 24 hours notice before you check out which is why we couldn’t leave on the first night. As soon as you walk in, you smell the mustiness. When we got to the room (room 208 which already has bad reviews on here) it was so disgusting and STINKING so bad that we had to go back to the lobby with all of our stuff and get a new room. The next room was filthy, and the people beside us had music playing loud and were partying. The curtains had what I think is mold all over them, the mattress was ripped and the bed was poorly made. The pillows and beds had small stains and pieces of dirt. However, we couldn’t leave because it was already late so we were forced to stay in that room. I only took a few pictures but trust me DO NOT stay here if you value cleanliness and a helpful hotel staff. I wish i could be fully refunded for the first 2 rooms because of how filthy and disgusting they were.

This place has bed bugs and they won't refund you. Here is what happened to me: My mother was dying, so I traveled the 3 hours to Zeeland to be with her in her final days. I booked a king studio suite with a pull-out couch for one night at this hotel. By the time my children and I arrived at the hotel, it was late and I was exhausted from crying and the sheer weight of visiting my mother (this was her final 24 hours). Upon check-in, I was informed that there was NOT a pull-out couch in the king room that I booked. This couch was apparently falsely advertised. Please see photo for proof. This false advertisement made it so i had to switch room types and pay a $15 upcharge. I have stayed in many hotels, and I work in hospitality: so the first thing I always do before bringing in my bags is to check the beds for bed bugs, which is exactly what I did. The first room had immediate evidence of bed bugs: little black spots on the sheets and pillows that look like pen marks. I went to the front desk and requested a new room, willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. The second room was the same, only there were more little black bed bug poop spots on the sheets than the first. At this point, I did not want to stay. I asked for a refund so I could find a new hotel. They actually had the nerve to cite their 24-hour cancelation policy. This should not apply to bed bug infestations. Any good hospitality professional knows this. Feeling a bit defeated, I reluctantly agreed to see a 3rd room. I walked into this 3rd room and walked right back out. It smelled bad and there was even more evidence of bed bugs because in this 3rd room, I saw an actual bed bug. We spent a total of 30 minutes in this hotel before leaving. We left immediately and went next door to the Hilton, which cost twice as much, but fortunately did not have bugs. To this day, this hotel has only offered a partial refund and I am still fighting to get the rest of my money back. BEWARE BED BUGS AND TERRIBLE REFUND POLICY.
