Despite labor shortages, supply chain shortages, economic issues, etc, this Walmart is making significant efforts to keep their store open, staffed, and maintained. The good: Staff is almost always friendly and willing to find someone to help if they can't assist you themselves. Fast self serve checkout at both ends of the store. Sufficient staff to keep checkout lanes from backing up heavily on 80% of our visits. Produce is well stocked even if the prices fluctuate significantly from week to week. Started a flooring improvement project during the night to tear up all the floor tiles (January 2022, some areas of tile in disrepair) and get down to a polished concrete surface. I wonder what the final flooring system will be, but for now it's polished concrete. The bad: Occasional staff shortages means you may have to wait 5 to 15 minutes to get an item from sporting goods if it's locked behind the glass. Goods available in various departments may have shortages (nationwide supply chain issues that affect every store) from everything from toys & bikes to toilet paper and spray paint. We would love to see ammunition available consistently, but that probably will not happen for a few years. In general visits can be rated from 3 to 5 stars, some of then beyond the control of the store. We'll average it out to a 4 star review. Also, if management is reading this, please, please, have extra key sets available for your departments. If a staff member goes home accidentally with their department keys in their pocket, and the manager accidentally takes a set home as well, then it becomes impossible to sell goods in stock that are locked up in the glass cases (yes, this happens). I would suggest having extra / emergency sets of keys that are fastened to an object too big to fit into a pocket (toilet float ball painted orange works great), or too big to fit into a backpack (maybe a toilet seat painted orange?) otherwise your affected department is crippled for a day in being unable to restock or sell goods inside the glass cases. Thanks again for the service and hard work. God bless and have a great day.

My cousin Cheryl Oetman worked here for many years and her commitment to hard work and great customer service is the excellent standard to which these staff continue to strive for. I find the quote by Helen Walton wife of Walmart and Sam’s Club founder Sam Walton to be very stirring: “It is not what you gather in life, it's what you scatter in life that tells the kind of life you have lived". We recycle our plastic bags here and our Michigan cans and bottles. Michigan needs to allow for the deposit recycling of cider cans and bottles.

Nice location. It was very busy when I went. Maybe that's normal but I'm not from around this location.

The music is so loud! It ruins the shopping experience and makes it so chaotic. I’m there every other week getting groceries and I honestly can’t focus with the music blasting. This is supposed to be a Walmart, not a club.

I notice quite a few women's sweatshirts with the men's sweatshirts. I brought it up to two different associates. Ones said "I don't speak English." Apparently she forgot she didn't know English. I talked to her later and now she's talking to me in English. The second one said. "I don't speak English." but she had a translator. I'm not any employee or am since I have to scan and bag what I'm buying.

This\n Has got to be the worst grocery store. I have ever been to I went to your to return pop bottles once and only one machine was working. And you had to do each one individually imprint its individual tencent receipt, and overall, this place is dirty, dilapidated and just overall and horrible atmosphere, many of the people that shop here, I don't mean to be rude but aren't the best. Of. People and overall the people that work there just overall seem like they don't want to be there. The prices are good and that's really about it

I work with a doctors office and the pharmacist at that pharmacy tried to over step what our provider was doing for treatment. This was baf because this medication patient needs is something that helps from relapsing. We are familiar with patient and know he can come across rude. I think there was stigma and not even a good reason to not be willing to dispense.

Dissatisfied with Walmart's Service Rating: ★★☆☆☆ I recently had a disappointing experience at my local Walmart store, which has led me to write this 2-star review. While I acknowledge that Walmart is known for its low prices, the overall service left much to be desired. Firstly, the store's organization was chaotic and cluttered. The aisles were often crowded with merchandise, making it difficult to navigate and locate items. It felt like a constant struggle to find what I needed, resulting in wasted time and frustration. Moreover, the customer service was lacking. The employees seemed disinterested and unhelpful. When I asked for assistance in finding a specific product, I received vague directions or blank stares. It was evident that they lacked proper training or motivation to assist customers. Additionally, the checkout process was often slow and inefficient. There were not enough cashiers available, leading to long queues and extended waiting times. This made my shopping experience unnecessarily time-consuming and inconvenient. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the store was subpar. I noticed dust and dirt accumulation in various areas, which gave an overall impression of neglect. It's essential for a retailer of Walmart's size and reputation to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for customers. Lastly, the lack of variety and quality in certain product categories was disappointing. I expected a wider range of options and better quality for some items, but I was left disappointed by the limited selection and inferior products available. In conclusion, my recent visit to Walmart was far from satisfactory. The disorganized store layout, unhelpful staff, slow checkout process, inadequate cleanliness, and limited product range were major drawbacks. I hope that Walmart takes these concerns seriously and works towards improving their overall customer experience. Please note that this review is based on my personal experience at a specific Walmart location, and your experience may vary at other stores.

KATHY the door greeter was very rude & unpleasant & showed us racial discrimination!!! We walked out behind an older white women who had 10-15 , 2 liters of Diet Coke , UNBAGGED in her cart. In our cart we had 5 bags of jasmine rice (5lbs each). Kathy lets the older white women walk out , even saying “have a nice day” & as we approach the door she looked at our cart, looked at us & then said “can I see your receipt for your rice?” EXCUSE ME? I told her, you just let the white women infront of me go with 10-15 2 liters without looking at her receipt , but you want to check my receipt for my 5 bags of rice ? That’s funny & kind of feels like racism! She said “noooo nooo noooo I do my job & check everyone”. No miss you do not I JUST WATCHED you let her walk out & didn’t do your job. So I told her do you job & do it fairly. Walmart will not be getting my buisness or those in our communities buisness as I’ve posted this in the town inform website as well! Kathy is Rude & unprofessional.

All the prices of what we bought were way more than what the price on the shelf said. Only 1 item was the price it said on it. The register person didn't make sure we got all our items in our cart. He was wearing earbuds while running the register. No hi or thank you. No employees said anything at the door except can I get you anything else. We were on the way out the door. No signs to find what we where looking for. And only 2 can recycle containers worked. Not a good place that's why we don't shop there. We only did this time cause we received a gift card.

This Walmart always feels a bit chaotic. The store itself and the staff seem like they’re doing what they can, but it’s clear that a lot of the mess and disorganization comes from customers not taking care of things or putting items back where they belong. It makes the overall shopping experience feel cluttered and frustrating at times. I actually live in Holland, but I find myself driving to the Grand Haven Walmart because it’s noticeably cleaner, more organized, and easier to shop in. I wish this location could maintain that same standard, because it’s close and convenient — just not the best experience right now.

This walmart specifically has a problem with supply and demands, consistency in having product on the shelves, I can't tell you how many times I walked into this walmart and walked out empty handed because they did not resupply something that sells out weekly in two weeks. If something constantly sells out every week, wouldn't it be a great idea to keep more of a stock..

It's your average Walmart experience, perhaps a bit worse than others due to not being the most well maintained location. Parking lot is kinda bad with its one-way angled parking spots - it gets kinda crammed and people get confused which leads to unnecessary congestion. Only reason I come here is because they have the best chocolate iced donuts in the baked goods section.

Special thank you to the woman who greets and watches the one door and helped me with snow melt salt. And also the excellent service I received on the phone this morning about a particular item. To reviewers who are complaining about the prices: come on folks, follow the thread (it's not this store's fault!!).

I have been having issues with Walmart mistaking merchandise. For instance, several weeks ago they had sweat pants and sweatshirts on a sale shelf. The stickers on the shelf said $7.00. There were no price tags on the sweats themselves. So I grabbed a top and bottom. Well they didn't ring up at $7 each they range up at $24.98 each. Then last week I bought a jacket from a rack that had a rather large sign sale $13.00. The jacket rang up at $34.98! I also had an issue tonight with the recycling center. I had to bring back returnables. First there were only two machines (one for cans and one for glass) that were actually functional. Really slowed down the process for my wife and I. And the maxhines r so finicky and demand perfect returnables set in there a very particular way. Maybe walmart has those machines to discourage customers from bringing returnables to their stores. The one good thing i can say about Walmart of late is it's employees who work the self-checkout areas. Tonight for instance I was so graciously assisted by a young lady by the name of rosalee. She was so helpful and friendly. She knew her job very well and was able to assist me not just once but three times. She, and the several other ladies I have had the pleasure of interacting with in the last few weeks r the shining stars of Walmart. Their kindness and professionalism r why I keep coming back.
