This was the first time I took my car to an actual car wash place, so I was thinking they would have the best equipment and cleaning supplies for the job. With all that being said I took my car for a full service wash today and was very disappointed I wasted my time when I could have done a better job in my apt complex with a hose and my house vacuum.

Greenbrier, Chesapeake, Va. Ring Rd: 23320 On 8/12/2022 @approximately 7:14 pm, I decided to go through Autobell-Car wash. At that hour, there were only two females working, the Assistant Mgr. whom wore a name tag that displayed the name “Cat” and an unnamed female, whom directed me through the car wash…2-minutes later, while in the car wash, my sensors on my dashboard, were blinking and I could see that my tires were deflating…. Less than halfway through, soap suds flying, equipment continuing to run, I was now sitting on flats(drivers side)… As a survivor of previous trauma, I couldn’t breathe as my tears cut off my breath…I was in FIGHT OR FLIGHT MODE…. I noticed the attendant trying to get my attention, as she ran to hit an emergency stop, and told me to breathe while she tried to direct me out…. When they finally got my car out, ( thanks to the run-flats on my Lexus,) my words were difficult to formulate…..the assistant Mgr.”Cat” told me that this was my fault, because my hub-caps were after market! ($859.) dollars later, this facility has not even refunded my $10. for my car wash! My hub caps had been on my Lexus, for a couple years, I had been through multiple car washes and NEVER has this been an issue… what I know is that the “nameless-female that lead me into the facility, was not paying attention, and in haste, she failed to make sure my wheels were properly/safely aligned! I’m experiencing nightmares now, of being in this car wash! If I can’t get it together, I may have to seek medical help..

I usually don’t come in the evening to wash my car but today I came around 7 o’clock. The guys cleaned it very poorly usually it’s such a great job. Everything shines today. I had to go behind them rectify you cleaning areas less than satisfied because there was another car behind me.

Id like to shout out Kai & Zymere who specifically worked on my car however all of the guys there were extremely hardworking! It was 630pm(30 mins before closing) and a surge of cars were in line. This did not cause them to rush at all, they still took their time with my vehicle and did not show any signs of panic. They handled everything with ease and I’m am extremely satisfied.

I had a great experience at Autobell Car Wash in Greenbrier Mall! The team was friendly, professional, and worked efficiently from start to finish. My car came out spotless — both inside and out — with that fresh shine that makes you feel good driving again. The staff paid close attention to detail and made sure everything looked perfect before handing it back. Definitely one of the best car wash services in Chesapeake! Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality and great customer care.

Most of the workers here are high school to college age. I wish that there is a person that would quality check their work. I would walk the vehicle and ask them to check certain areas such as opening the doors and wiping down the door seals or opening the rear hatch and vacuuming the hatch better. If they could spend more time in the nooks in trains and hidden areas rather than rush through their vacuuming. When I return home, I noticed their areas they have missed and will re-vacuum myself. They have missed cleaning the cupholders and leave Glass streaks because their towels are not dry when wiping the interior of the windows. I would recommend on occasion have one person assigned to randomly quality. Check their work and fine-tune their skills.

For a $17 car wash you would think they would at least get all of the soap off. Very dissapointing car wash. I could have done better just rinsing it off with a hose. Will not be returning here.

The fin part on the top of my car came off while going through this car wash! I've gone through plenty of car washes before and never had this happen. I noticed the part was missing and returned to the front of the car wash line and explained to the man that it came off. He went inside the carwash and found the piece and tried placing it on top but of course it wasn't going to securely stay. Honestly, he seemed pretty flustered and not sure how to handle the situation - but I will say he was very respectful and I could tell he was trying his best. A second worker came up and also tried to place the part on my car and said they can try to tape it down. I said I'll just keep it in my car and fix it later. I was very calm and reasonable, especially because ultimately, it's not these guys fault that the car wash made it fall off. I requested a refund due to the damage to my car and the first worker said they're not allowed to issue refunds, but he can write an incident report. I explained that I think an exception should be made in this case since the carwash broke off a piece to my car. He stepped aside and asked his colleague what he should do - give me a refund or write an incident report. His colleague told him it's however he wants to handle the situation. He returned to me and repeated he's not allowed to issue refunds but can write an incident report. I explained that I wasn't going to write out an incident report because I didn't have time and if he can't issue a refund, I would at least like to have the contact information of their management so I can request a refund from them directly. He then seemed to get a bit more flustered (not angry, just seemed overwhelmed by it all) and said that I don't have to do that and he'll just give me a refund. I asked him for a receipt with proof of the refund, and he said he can't give me a receipt; it just clears from their system and disappears. So, I'll be monitoring my account to make sure it does indeed get refunded. I wasn't meaning to be a Karen or threaten him by any means when asking for the management's contact information... I understand him wanting to follow the rules by the book, but sometimes you do have to consider the situation and make an exception... and I think it was reasonable for me to request a refund at the very least. An additional reason for my low review is I paid $17 for the wash (basic wash plus underneath) which is very pricey in my opinion, especially since that doesn't include the vacuums. I'm used to going to carwashes where the vacuum is included and self-service. Needless to say, for these reasons I will obviously not be returning.
