With a name of Above and Beyond, that really sets expectations high. I dropped my car on a very busy Friday and got the call that it was finished around 230pm. The car was generally shiny and clean. I took off one star because of a few little details: Inside there was some rag lint that remained on the dash, in the trunk there was a couple areas that didn't get wiped down and were still dusty. The rest of the interior was nice and the console and floor mats were perfectly clean. On the exterior there were also a couple little areas that didn't see a rag and now had shiny road grime waxed on the surface of the white exterior. The window glass had water spots that just added to the small disappointments. Overall, it was not a bad job, but with a name like Above and Beyond, my expectations were not met for my first time getting a vehicle detailed.

I've had my vehicles cleaned and detailed by Derrick and his staff at least twice a year for several years. They do a great job and Derrick is very professional and concerned with his staff's quality and thoroughness. I've had them return things from my vehicle that I didn't even know were in there! And a recent side-benefit is that he is currently sharing his parking lot with Chef Curtis McGhee and is C&C Kitchen food truck, which just served us some amazing Mother's Day grilled salmon, shrimp/rosemary mashed potatoes, and asparagus dinners. Come for the detailing, stay for the food! Thanks Derrick for sticking with Urbana and keepin' us clean!

I never do this but this was warranted. I asked for a detail inside and out but especially for where my dog got sick. Paid $150 and everything looked good on the surface. Look closer and they did not vacuumed some places. Did not shampoo my carpets (except one place). Did not clean my seats properly. I asked Derek and he said he did all of this. I expressed to Derek that there was no way all the services where provided. He said, “I don’t know what you expected. Some places just can’t be cleaned and for a car that hasn’t been detailed, it’s not going to get done.” (Side note, my car has been detailed and cleaned many times. The only parts that really needed cleaned was the front of my car.) I asked for some of my money back and he hung up before I could say anything else, for example, my car to be recleaned. I have left Derek couple voicemails since then with no call back to this day (3 days later). I stopped by his work the day he hung up, he was conveniently closed at 4pm when they are open till 5:30pm. I took it to a different detailing place and they said it didn’t look like the inside was cleaned. They cleaned the spots “that just couldn’t get cleaned” in 30 minutes. Then told me that “Above and Beyond Detailing” put tire oil on my rubber floor mats. If I didn’t have the paper protectors still in place, my feet would of slipped when I was driving most likely causing an accident. I spent $150 to detail my car and I could of done the services myself for $10 at rainstorm. “Above and Beyond Detailing” goes above and beyond to take your money but NOT above and beyond with cleaning. **By the way, I posted pictures of my car cleaned but for some reason “Above and Beyond Detailing” kept getting them put on their “good photos of what they did”. I'm blown away by this service! My van has never been cleaner - inside and out. They even pulled out the small dent in my fender. I've never had my van detailed before, and I am glad I finally did it. One happy customer.

I'm always looking to try new local business, so I purchased a 1/2 price voucher from a local deals site. I never managed to get my car detailed here. We called and left messages about setting up an appointment and never heard back. The certificate has since expired and is now only worth the price I paid for it, what a scam. If you're looking for a good detailing job I can't speak to that, but if you're looking for good customer service I would look elsewhere.

I've been taking our once-new Prius to Derek for years now. Excellent work and service every time! I'm very picky, used to check their work meticulously every time after I picked the car up but anymore I just do a spot check. They are consistently good!

Not worth the price, he said he was good at what he did, but he didn't do well on the detailing with a $200 price tag. It was fine but not worth it at a $200 price tag. I have been waiting for 6 hours for them to finish the jobs and my cloth seats were still damp. I found somewhere dirty and he was absolutely EMBARRASSED! Awful service for a $200 price tag!

I had a mini-detail treatment on my car and Derrick and his team did such a great job! I was very satisfied and will bring my other cars in when I need a good cleaning inside and out. I had a hardened string of something sticky on the exterior for about a year and they got it off and left no sign of it. (it was so thin, it looked like a scratch, but was not). All the smears of white mineral sunscreen was removed from the interior doors and leather seats, it really looked good!

We had asked for just an interior detail, which was quoted at $100. Everything seemed fine, and we brought the car the next day. However, the owner claimed to have asked if we wanted both inside and outside detailing, but I don't recall him asking. We had clearly stated the previous day that we only wanted the interior done for $100. To our surprise, when we received the receipt on our phone, we were charged $150 plus a tip. While the interior detail itself was well done, we were ultimately disappointed with the entire experience.

My car hasn’t been this clean since idk when. I needed it cleaned as I’m about to sell it but it was quite a messy car. I have to park under a tree that produces berries and they stick to my car and make it extremely hard to clean. The interior of the car is where I take my breaks at work so I eat in there sometimes plus I have long hair so it can get messy. I wasn’t sure how clean it would be able to get but I was not disappointed in the slightest. Money extremely well spent. Derek was extremely nice and did a great job in a timely manner too, as I had to go to Chicago the same day. I cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be returning! I included a picture of my roommates car to show how the berries were on my car, my car was 5 times worse easily and the roof was awful
