Staff were friendly. Store was clean. This west marine is not like the store of old. No wall of stainless steel rigging components like the inventory of old was cut from the store.

West Marine is perfectly placed on the service road and main intersection in Mandeville La. They offer most items needed for boating. They also offer pull behind boat floats aka tubes. You can skip the traffic going to Academy (which only stocks these seasonally, but run out the first two weeks of in store placement) . Very nice store for all your Marine needs with tubes, ropes, small tube boats, water gear and so on. 5 Stars for convenance that I did not realize exists.

Absolutely horrific customer service. The manager yelled at me because he was aggrivated that the order was wrong. I will never shop here again and I encourage the rest of yall to do the same. The sleezeball kept looking at me weird too. What a creep.

I bought a lowrance fish finder with the extended warranty from west marine. Well after my boat was destroyed and sunk in the last hurricane, I took the lowrance back to get a store credit or something. Of course they told me that there was nothing they could do for me without the power cord and transducer. I told them repeatability that the boat sank and the unit was all that I had. It made no difference to them including the manager. So never buy anything from worst marine and never get the extended warranty. The place is a rip off and so is the warranty. I wish I could give them negative five stars.

I recently purchased a grill for my boat from this store. They didn't have the mount in stock so I had to purchase that from the website. Both the grill and the mount were poorly packaged and had pieces missing. Both of these products were very expensive. I had to go to a local hardware store and buy enough to retrofit a mount for my boat for a big family weekend. I thought after spending more than $600 it would at least come with all of the pieces. I won't be shopping at West Marine again.

I'm going to give it a 4 only bc it has a wide variety of necessary items to get back in water asap compared to other stores that carry boating accessories. But you would think a store that all they did was wholesale boating products that it would be at least a little cheaper. If you can wait order online. Half the price. But if you need it now then most likely they have it just be prepared to pay for it twofold.

Very helpful staff! My grandson and I was looking for some collapsible 🦀 crab traps. They answered my questions about using chicken 🐔 or fish 🐟 and best way to secure bait to trap. Either bait will do the job. Employee suggested shower ring that closes. He showed me the ones used to hold fishing leaders on the product displays. He was so customer friendly that he pulled the leaders off two rings to give to me. Saved us a trip to Walmart. The rings beat using fish hooks to hold the chicken wings we used for bait. My grandson (6) and granddaughter (4) had a great time catching blue crabs.

Thought we would check out our West Marine today for my husbands birthday. 3 girls behind the counter having a great time. No hello for us. Never came out to offer help. We walked around and then headed for the door. Then they said :Have a nice day." Guess we weren't invisible after all.

Small store with three employees grouped up behind the sales counter that were more into socializing with each other than engaging with customers. Honestly, as small as the store is, I'm not sure why they had three people on the clock, we were the only customers in the store, and they never even acknowledged our presence.

Every single product that is a high liked item is over priced by like 25% . The lady at the register is rude and didn’t seem interested in reasoning.
