Trevor at Home Depot on Hershberger rd in Roanoke Va is awesome!! He helped me load a bunch of bags of mulch! My back was hurting today but Trevor and another female employee just saw me and offered to help! I was so grateful! Thanks Trevor!

Usually always find exactly what I'm looking for, or can order things for delivery to the store or home.

We came to this Home Depot to buy materials to build a fence at our home. 4 workers watched as my husband moved each individual piece of wood off the shelf and onto the cart. He asked several times if they could get a fork lift but they refused. They also refused to help him load it into his trailer. Worst customer service. We often renovate houses and do many home projects, so we invest a lot of money into supplies. We will be spending our money elsewhere. This store lost our business.

I just wanted to take a minute to write an appreciative post for the employees at Home Depot. My husband, daughter, and I came to Home Depot in Roanoke this weekend to pick up some odds and ends for our bathroom renovation. Everyone we interacted with was accommodating to us and especially to our toddler. What could’ve been a hectic experience turned out to be really pleasant thanks to those awesome employees we came in contact with.

Great store brand, pricey assembly fee for simple task. I had to assembly the cabinet box myself. Not happy with purchased electric heater, fairly large for room size, looks good, but heating very little space with auto cutoff features works in minutes. No auto turn on feature? Never came back until the grill cool and I manually hit the remote control switch that come with the system. Malfunctioning? Possibly!

We went to Home Depot looking for flooring for our upstairs. The salesperson was kind and helpful. We were able to select our flooring, receive a quote and set up the measurement visit in a relatively short period of time. The only issue we had was that the military discount didn’t process so we have to go back to the store to receive it.

One of the best experiences I've had in this type of store. I ran in on a time crunch to get an umbrella for my new deck that I saw only a few left in stock of on clearance and an employee, Jordan, helped me locate the umbrella super quickly as well as two chairs, an umbrella base, and a couple of pillows and carried it up to the self checkout for me and helped me get everything in my vehicle!

Was putting together a miniature setting in an old wheelbarrow & found several plants perfect for it. All the plants were healthy and the selection was vast!

Good luck trying to find some help at this location. I’ve visited this store multiple times with various questions and have never been adequately assisted when I am able to track someone down. The staff never seems to have any knowledge about the products sold at their store, or even try to their best knowledge. In fact, the employees here actively try to avoid customers at all cost.

Employees are nice but undertrained. We tried to show them some of the 4x4s that had 1" deep cuts in them at the midpoint and the guy had no idea why damaged 4x4s were an issue. Otherwise it's a good store with cheerful staff.

Absolutely amazing service and product knowledge by the associates. An associate named Harlan was quick to answer and knowledgeable about anything we had to ask him. Amazing customer service unlike most places I've been to. Best Home Depot I've ever seen.

I ordered a combo appliance package . I paid for installation and haul away for all appliances . They did not install the dishwasher or haul it away. They did not haul away the refrigerator. I have called 7 times for the refund but still haven't gotten it. It's been over 2 months . I would not recommend this place to anyone

I went in to get a step ladder. It wasn't yet on the floor. The employees there, exceeded my expectations, and went in back for a bit, until they found one and brought it up front for me. I was amazed and happy, to get that exact one. It's a small one not very heavy, just big enough. I'll definitely do business there again!

I went to Home Depot planning to buy two Dewalt products: a 20V vacuum and a USB-C battery charger. Before going in, I verified both items were sold and shipped by Amazon and confirmed that Home Depot’s own policy states they will price match. When I asked for the price match, the staff flat-out refused. Despite me pointing out the exact terms, they wouldn’t honor it. It was clear they either weren’t trained properly on their company’s own policies or simply chose to ignore them. Either way, it’s unacceptable. Because of this, instead of walking out with the tools I needed that day for work, I now have to order them online from Amazon and wait. That’s lost time and added hassle, and it defeats the entire purpose of shopping locally. Home Depot advertises a price match guarantee to attract customers, but in practice it feels misleading when their staff won’t follow through. If they can’t stand behind their own policy, then why advertise it at all? Very disappointing experience, and it makes me rethink where I’ll be shopping for tools in the future.
