Ok, friendly staff. But I will not be back. First thing, they try to sell you lots of unnecessary things. They took some of my coolant and showed me some kind of thing and offered me a $129 flush. No thanks. Then 10 levels of oil change ranging from $60 to $130. Basic please. Then then wanted to sell wipers. No, I just put some on. Just the oil. Then the air filter for $40. They didn't even offer to blow my old one off. It was just a little bit Dusty. They just said we'll put the dirty one back in. Now. Here's where the fun comes in. My vehicle cost for 6 and 1/2 quarts of oil so they measured it and I saw them bring The jug over and they poured it in there. They had me crank the vehicle turn it back off. Check the oil. They said it had too much oil in it. So they drained some. Then they checked it and said it didn't have enough so they put a little bit more. Checked. It again said it was too much. 30 minutes. I sat there with six technicians around engine trying to figure out how much oil was in the vehicle and I'm not a mechanic but I saw The jug and it had six and a half quarts of oil and he poured every drop down in there. That oil didn't go nowhere. That's what you're supposed to do. They looked it up on the computer. They put the amount of oil in I should have been in and out of there. But he initially came over there finally and showed me the dipstick and said what do you think? I didn't come here to have my oil changed by people that don't know how to put oil in and how to read a dipstick. He said it looked like it was low on one side and on the other side it looked like it was high. I said well it's only marked on one side go by that side and if you put 6 and 1/2 quarts in there it's in there. So 10 minutes go by with them doing that and then they said are you okay with this and showed me the mark and I said yeah I said did you put 6 and 1/2 quarts of oil in this and he said yeah and I said that I'm good.. that was all I needed to see.

My engine was running HOT and I needed help urgently. I spotted a "Take 5" business just across the street from the Walgreens I had just visited. So, I drove right over. They were fully staffed and an answered prayer. The friendly and knowledgeable fellows were anxious to assist me. First, they checked the oil and it was clean and full. Next, they checked the coolant level which was the culprit for the hot engine. They used an instrument/tool that forced all the old coolant out of the system, then replaced it with new coolant. The temperature gauge dropped to normal! What a relief! One worker noticed a loose floppy windshield wiper that I had intended replacing but hadn't gotten around to it, so I asked him to replace both blades. Another young man appeared and cleaned the windshield. They all worked well together, and each one spoke politely to me while explaining what he was going to do. I was very impressed by the teamwork I witnessed. Before leaving they gave me a coupon for my next visit, even though their prices were already very reasonable. I will definitely visit that "Take 5" facility again when it's time for an oil change and will recommend them to my family and neighbors. They were a true blessing to me!

This place is always amazing! The workers are always so nice and helpful and make the experience all the more wonderful. There very kind and respectful and helped me out when I was in a pinch. They are also very sweet to my son when he is with me. They will show me exactly what is going on with my car and explain it to me without making me feel silly for asking questions. I will always take my car here for routine maintenance!!

Dean and his team at Take 5 Hickory were fantastic in helping me diagnose an oil leak. I had used them for my last oil change and noticed oil leaking from underneath my vehicle. Dean and the crew wasted no time in getting me in the bay and finding the cause, which was no fault of theirs. He even sent me the video he took from underneath and it showed exactly what the issue was. They even topped off my oil at no charge, even though I offered to pay them. Issue was a bad oil filter housing gasket, common occurrence among Kia Tellurides. Unfortunately, this is beyond the scope of what they are able to do, but totally understandable. I will continue to use them for my oil change needs in the future. Thanks guys for the great customer service.

I visited the Hickory location yesterday, 12/3/25, for an oil change. Brandon and Aiden were the friendly team members who greeted me and handled business. They did an outstanding job and made sure everything was right before I left. I got the full synth for around $86 but needed an extra half quart added plus $7 shop fee, so the total was $98.98. I was able to use a coupon that was emailed to me for $25 off, so I feel like I got a great deal! They helped me out by installing wiper blades I had purchased but hadn’t been able to get on. Both are excellent at what they do and it’s really a lot of work in a very short period of time. The receipt has a whole list of service items they checked out. I’ve been to this location before and never left a review, but I’m always impressed by the team work/service there. Thanks!
